I saw this recent photo and thought (as I have often done in the past), “Dang! She’s smiling, but she’s got such angry eyes!”
I thought it would be interesting to see if I was imagining this or not. So here’s the challenge: What expression do you think Michelle Obama has in the full picture of each of these eye photos?

Whoa. I noticed same thing when I saw that photo on Pete’s post earlier. It’s not just BRF (bitchy resting face), either. She looks genuinely happy when she’s doing kids events.

Honestly, they all look very affronted. The only time I’ve ever seen her truly happy is when playing flag football with kids. . . she’s radiant when playing with children! She never looks more beautiful than in those pictures. No shiny dress can make up for the rare genuiness of those smiles.

That’s so true. And I’ve seen little children run up and hug her legs. It’s adorable. I also love the garden. KD wanted me to snark about it. I refused. I even like some of her clothes. I think fair is fair. You know? Her husband has a great smile and looks fabulous in a suit. See? I complimented him without making any reference to … you know what.
