It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon as the Winnebago Middle School took the field against the powerhouse Stillman Valley team. Winnebago dressed scarcely 20 players while Stillman had over 50 on their traveling team. The Indians fought hard, but were overmatched against the larger Cardinals. They did, however, avoid a shutout by scoring in the fourth quarter. Even after a 38-8 defeat,no one hung their heads. Coaches and parents were all supportive of the kids’ efforts. R.J. Pistol had mom, dad, stepmom, stepdad, both grandmas and ol’ grandad along with sisters and an aunt to cheer him on. Spending time with family is about the best thing I can think of at this point in my life. For the admission price of $1.00 I considered it a wonderful bargain.

Nice, Pete. Thanks. All the other stuff we do, politics, wars, work – it’s for family. (Well, ought to be. Some folks are sorta confused.)
Recently got to vicariously share a cousin’s family’s trip to Colorado through photos on his blog.’ Milady Webworker’s family has some social network page (FB?) for their mother’s family photos & memorabilia.
It’s nice to have an age when we can pass around family photos so easily.
Even family I only barely know through places like PoliNation.
