After giving it some thought I’ve come up with a theory on the dichotomy between the races. It goes back to the beginning. The Europeans who came here to settle were from countries with structured governments with laws designed to create a civilized and orderly society. After the dark ages came the Renaissance, the Industrial Revolution, the advance of science, art, and literature. They came to this land to freely worship according to their own beliefs without governmental interference. As the country became populated commerce spread and capitalism prospered. That’s when the problems started.
Africans, brought here by force, sold by their fellow Africans to slave traders, became the manual labor to produce the revenue-generating goods like cotton and tobacco. They came from a primitive continent without schools or what we would consider civilized culture, living the way they had been doing for more than a millennia. When they were brought here the plantation owners would not allow them to become educated. They were bought and paid for and their masters expected them to do as they were told. The democrats are still doing it.
I’ve railed about it ad nauseam, but I truly believe there is an inherent savagery in most of them that can manifest itself at any time. This I believe has to do with genetics and the roots of the world they were plucked from centuries ago. It is the only rationalization I can come up with to explain why blacks aged 15-40 make up less than 3% of the population but commit more than 70% of the violent crime. Lyndon Johnson’s plan of systematic enslavement to the welfare state has doomed an entire class of people to being satisfied with living on whatever the government hands out, making more and more babies they don’t really want to perpetuate the cycle of poverty, too ignorant or lazy to better themselves by making the effort to finish their education and working to make something for themselves rather than whine about being victims of racism. I’ll probably catch hell from somebody about how wrong I am, but that’s just my opinion.

One source told TheDC Monday night that officers have stepped back from engaging in proactive policing, because they often see the same violent criminals they arrest immediately released on to the streets.

I’m going to leave two long posts, so I humbly apologize in advance. Both are in response to Pete’s marvelous ruminations on race in America. The first is all me; the second is a paste from another commenter on another site, but equally germane. Please by all means skip both comments if this is a subject that isn’t in your wheelhouse, and thanks to Chrissy for providing a grand open forum.

Pete, I congratulate you on your courage to post today’s blog opener. Such racial boldness has led to John Derbyshire being fired from National Review Online (search for the marvelous column that got him sacked), and James Watson (of DNA pioneers Watson & Crick) being cast out as a social pariah from the scientific community.
Of course, whole hosts of others have intimated a more than casual suspicion that maybe black people and white people are a wee bit different. Bill Gates has noticed it in his charitable efforts in Africa. And Lincoln said “I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position.”
There is a field of science, not to be discussed in polite company, known as Human Bio-Diversity, or HBD. A subset of this field refers to Non-Asian Minorities (NAM). Two of my favorite HBD websites are American Renaissance and Taki’s Magazine. There’s also V-Dare but that gets a little dicey sometimes, and of course the Stormfront gang are just angry idiots.
I would also suggest “The Bell Curve” (available on Amazon) for an exhaustive research study spanning decades and thousands of results from intelligence testing across all continents. They dive deeper and differentiate between seven skin tones and resulting IQ disparities. Their conclusion is that cultures south of the Equator had an easier evolutionary time of it and thus weren’t as intellectually challenged as their brothers to the north trying to find food and shelter in harsh winters.
Finally, here’s a comment I recently posted on another site which sorta spills my beans:
I’m a white lady, but I believe in reincarnation. I’ve been a black man, a black lady, and most certainly will be again. We come back to learn different lessons to challenge and atone for our karma, i.e. I’d learn much different lessons being born a desperately poor black child in Ethiopia than I would a white person in the richest nation on Earth.
Additionally, as we continue to learn more about the human genome we will discover, to the extent a politicized science allows, that much of our behavior is coded into our DNA at fundamental levels. We’ll learn our “free will” is a lot less free than we think.
No two races are alike. Everyone agrees blacks are more prone to sickle cell, and to deny a racial component to that disease is to condemn blacks to death. Acknowledging the differences isn’t a bad thing, it’s a good thing. Lives are saved.
It’s no coincidence the entire backfield of the NFL is black; the entire NBA is black (not “entire,” but please let’s not play semantics). Blacks are more athletic, and everyone knows it — “White Men Can’t Jump.”
One reason black athletes are stronger, faster, more dominant is because they have heightened androgen receptors which allow more efficient processing of testosterone production. This same testosterone fuels aggression, as anyone on steroids will tell you. This aggression can be a good thing in a football stadium; not so good on the streets of Baltimore.
Black isn’t better. White isn’t better. Asian isn’t better. All play a role in God’s grand design.
I’m no scientist, so feel free to ignore everything I’ve said. But when all of us see the cultural, physical, mental, social et al. differences in the races every day and continue to act like we don’t, we continue this ridiculous one-size-fits-all strategy which frustrates real progress, both on an individual and social level.
I want to fix it not because I’m racist, but because there’s a good chance I’ll be a black person a hundred years from now.

If the illegitimacy rates for whites and blacks in America were reversed, I’m pretty sure the crime statistics, poverty statistics, prison population statistics, and so on would also be reversed.
Back in the days when most black kids were growing up in homes with both parents, they had very low rates of crime and all the other pathologies that are currently ripping black America to shreds. And that was despite white racism, segregation, and so on.
The welfare state has done more damage to black Americans than any of the other indignities they have suffered.

Another thing I’ve been thinking for a while…
White Americans are (largely) descended from people for whom intelligence was crucial to survival. A white American of the 18th, 19th, or early 20th century was far more likely to survive and to reproduce if he/she were smart, more likely to die without issue if he/she were not. Black Americans (I’m talking about those whose ancestors were slaves, not those who emigrated here voluntarily) are descended from people for whom physical strength, stamina, and endurance were the best predictors of survival, but for whom intelligence was not an asset. In fact, intelligence could be detrimental to their survival if it caused them to do things like instigate a rebellion or try to escape. So the slaves who were physically strong and able to work long hours without collapsing, but who didn’t challenge the status quo, were more likely to survive and to reproduce. I’m pretty sure this historical fact is largely responsible for the present day IQ gap between the two races… and why the mathematics faculty at modern universities tends to be mostly white (or Asian) while the star players on their football and basketball teams are almost all black.
