CALIFORNIA: A recent poll of 1,000 registered voters found Elder in the lead with 16%. John Cox and Kevin Faulconer tied for second with 6% and Kevin Kiley and Caitlyn Jenner tied for third with 4%. The majority of those polled (53%) said they hadn’t decided yet.

CANADA: In the past two months, forty-eight Christian churches, including Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox, have been vandalized and even burned to the ground. The Slime Stream Media is largely ignoring it, because … you know … Christianity. Also the perps are Progressives.

CATHOLIC: At a Thursday press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, invoked her status as a mother and “devout Catholic” as she stated that taxpayer-funding for abortion is a “priority” for her party.

Also on Thursday, Nancy’s archbishop, Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, issued a statement in which he said, “No one can claim to be a devout Catholic and condone the killing of innocent human life, let alone have the government pay for it. The right to life is a fundamental—the most fundamental—human right, and Catholics do not oppose fundamental human rights.”

“The smoke screen of abortion as an issue of health and fairness to poor women is the epitome of hypocrisy: What about the health of the baby being killed? What about giving poor women real choice, so they are supported in choosing life? This would give them fairness and equality to women of means, who can afford to bring a child into the world.”

The “people of faith” who run crisis pregnancy centers “provide poor women life-giving alternatives to having their babies killed in their wombs. I cannot be prouder of my fellow Catholics who are so prominent in providing this vital service. To them I say: You are the ones worthy to call yourselves ‘devout Catholics!’”

GENDER: Yeah, so this really happened. The Norwegian women’s beach handball team petitioned the European Handball Federation for permission to wear more modest sports bras with tight-fitting, stretchy shorts when competing. They say the regulation uniforms are uncomfortable and make them feel unnecessarily sexualized.

The bosses said, nope. The rules say, “Women should wear a bikini where the top should be a tight-fitting sports bra with deep openings at the arms. The bottom must not be more than 10 centimeters on the side.“

The team reports that at first, they we were told they’d be fined 50 euros per person per match, if they wore the more modest outfits. They decided it was worth it, but when they showed up without their side boobs and butt cheeks hanging out, they were told they would be disqualified if they didn’t change.

Meanwhile, the men’s teams wear tank tops and shorts. Where are the feminists?!

NEWSBUSTERS: On Wednesday’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, weekend host Jonathan Capehart said humans might have to fly into space to find a safe place to live.

On Friday’s The View, co-host Sunny Hostin claimed that the 2nd Amendment was “designed to protect slavery.”

NIGERIA: From January 1 to July 18, 2021, Islamic Jihadists and their collaborators in the security forces have murdered 3, 462 defenseless Christians, abducted or killed ten priests or pastors, and threatened, attacked, destroyed, burnt or forced to close approximately 300 Christian churches. Meanwhile, the government of Nigeria does nothing about it.

Please pray for pray for the souls of those who have been killed and for their grieving friends and family. Please pray that those who persecute the church or stand by as it happens will repent and find salvation in Christ. Please pray that the world will recognize the scale of the suffering that believers endure in Nigeria and put pressure on the leaders to protect their Christian citizens.
