Because I have been watching “Scammer payback,” I didn’t freak out. Instead, I listened carefully to the phone number they wanted me to call and realized the area code was wrong. Scam!
I checked my account online just to be sure; my account is not frozen. If I’d called, they would’ve wanted me to log in to my online account and let them have access to it. Don’t ever do that!! When in doubt, call your bank through their legit phone number and ask to talk to their fraud department. They really don’t want you to get scammed.
