Pro-Life No Matter What
These stories are so compelling!
Nik Hoot first made headlines in 2013 as a high school wrestler who was missing parts of his legs and fingers. He lost them when a Russian abortionist ripped off parts of his body. He survived and, after birth, was immediately placed for adoption.
A year later. an American couple, Martin and Apryl Hoot, adopted him. He immediately took to his prosthetic legs, ditching his walker and learning to run within two weeks, according to his mother. As a boy, Nik loved sports, playing baseball, basketball, football, and wrestling. He had his obvious challenges, but never let those hold him back.

CONSOLING JESUS: St. Faustina said the Lord gave her this message – “Devout and faithful souls … brought Me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were that drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness.” I find it very comforting to know that, when I am having a bad day and I keep on loving and praising Him, it helped Him when He was suffering.
Eternal Father, may we never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may we glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen.

HOLY SATURDAY: The day when Jesus descended to the dead – Before Christ’s sacrifice, a person who died in friendship with God couldn’t go to Heaven. Instead, they went to a realm that no longer exists. On Holy Saturday, Jesus went there to gather all those souls and take them to Heaven. That realm is sometimes referred to as “hell”, but it is not the realm where the damned went and still go.
As the Catechism of the Catholic Church explains: “Jesus did not descend into hell to deliver the damned, nor to destroy the hell of damnation, but to free the just who had gone before him.” (CCC 633) Continue reading

The Paschal Triduum (pronounced PAS-kull TRID-yoo-um) begins on the evening of Holy Thursday when the Church celebrates the institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper.
