PRAYERS PLEASE: Our cousin is in hospice, dying from stage 4 breast cancer. And Miss Donna, an elder pro-life sidewalk counselor is in the hospital following an assault by a woman leaving the abortion facility in Louisville. The woman smashed Miss Donna to the ground, cracking her skull and fracturing a hip.
NOTRE DAME: I am very sad — This is not just a Catholic Church that housed valuable relics. It has also been a national treasure of France, one of the finest examples of architecture ever erected, and a testament to the greatness of Western civilization. I am in tears. Continue reading

TRUMP’S 2020 WAR CHEST: This should have Democrats shaking in their boots – President Trump’s re-election campaign raised $30.3 million in the first quarter of this year. Nearly 99 percent of the donations were $200 or less; the average donation was a mere $34.26. That’s what you call grassroots support! Trump’s war chest currently has $40.8 million cash on hand, an unprecedented amount for an incumbent president this early in the campaign.

NUTRITION: Beware of headlines!
I was very interested in recent headlines like this one, “There’s even more evidence that taking supplements is a waste of money — and could be harmful to your health.”
Uhhhhhhh … no.
What the study cited ACTUALLY FOUND was that:
- Dietary supplement use is not a substitute for a healthy balanced diet in otherwise healthy people;
- Taking mega doses can harm your health.

Palm Sunday
For centuries, Christians have celebrated Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem by waving branches of either palm or another local tree.
In the U.S. alone, nearly 18,000 Catholic parishes distribute fresh palm branches to the faithful and that doesn’t include all of the Protestant churches that observe the tradition.
The final destination of the palms is to be burned for the ashes used during the following year’s Ash Wednesday services. But where do they come from in the first place?
The work needed to provide palms for Palm Sunday is so immense that it actually constitutes a full-time year-round job for some harvesters. Continue reading
