SCOTUS: Approximately 350,000 Venezuelans should have seen their Temporary Protected Status (TPS) expire last month, until a Federal judge in San Francisco ordered otherwise. TPS allows aliens to live and work here legally, because their native countries are deemed unsafe due to natural disaster or civil strife. The Supremes ruled yesterday to overturn the SF judge’s injunction.

GRAMMY NOTES: I once mentioned to my sil that the main attraction for me in camping was that it renewed my appreciation for electricity and indoor plumbing. He, then an Infantryman in the U.S. Army, dryly replied that he preferred to vacation in 5-star hotels with room service. “Camping is too much like my day job.“

MENTAL HEALTH: [8:12] – Recently, I saw an interview with “The Quilting Marine” in which he talked about how making a baby quilt for his new grandson had unexpectedly helped reduce his PTSD symptoms. There is another veteran who calls himself “The Combat Quilter” who tells a similar story. These guys made me wonder if my PTSD is a big part of why I love making quilts so much.

Biden’s Cancer

By now, you have likely heard that Joe Biden is suffering from Stage 4, Grade 5, hormone sensitive, metastatic prostate cancer.

I’m also noticing that they chose to make this public right before the Tapper-Thompson exposé is set to be released. Counting down to Dems screaming “You can’t talk bad about a dying man!” in 3, 2, 1 …

The release of the Hur interview recordings seems another likely reason for the timing of the cancer announcement. If you recall, Robert Hur declined to prosecute Biden, because he said the jury would likely give a pass to a “sympathetic, well-meaning man with a poor memory.” IOW, he was not fit for trial, but he was fine to have his finger on the nuclear button. Make that make sense.

“Was President Biden’s cognitive decline a side effect of prostate cancer treatment? A recent study showed that four objective measures and one subjective measure of cognitive function were all significantly impaired by the androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) used for metastatic prostate cancer treatment.” – Dr. Steven Quay

“Were President Biden’s falls a side effect of prostate cancer treatment? Aggressive prostate cancers are treated with drugs that block the production and action of testosterone, as the majority of cancers are driven by testosterone. Loss of testosterone causes frailty and muscle loss. Over one-third of patients taking ADT have at least one fall during 12 months of treatment.” – Dr. Steven Quay

In response to the above, Dr. Quay wrote, “Health care policies related to screening guidelines are designed for populations, often millions of people, with respect to a particular screening test. They take into account healthcare cost, downstream practises, etc. It is not credible to imagine that a Senator, Vice President, and President could not have undergone routine blood tests that included PSA. I repeat my belief that it would be malpractice to not test PSA in a male US President. Given that we are back in the situation of knowing that it is a 5 to 7 year process from diagnosis to metastatic disease. Yes, there are less than 5% of patients who can present with metastatic disease without primary indications via the PSA but…Come on, Man!!” – Dr. Quay.

<2008: “Sometime before 2008, Biden developed an enlarged prostate; biopsy showed no cancer. At an unspecified time before 2019, he took medication to counter what was diagnosed as benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH).” Some people are noting that doctors don’t usually screen for prostate cancer after age 70. Others say it depends on the patient. Given this medical history and the extreme importance of a POTUS’s health, doesn’t it follow that Walter Reed would have been extra careful to watch his PSA levels? Unless, of course, they already knew he had cancer and was being treated for it, but had to cover it up because ………. yeah, why would they do that?

December 2019: Following his annual physical, doctors report Biden is “healthy, vigorous” and “fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”

November 2021: Following his annual physical, doctors report Biden is “healthy” and “fit” to be president.

When questioned about why Walter Reed neurologist Dr. Kevin Cannard had visited the White House three times, she said it was for the president’s health, but never says why. One wonders if it was related to the neurological side-effects of the drugs commonly used to treat prostate cancer. Like, maybe he had a crisis and his doctor had to come assess and adjust his dosage?

BIDEN: When Vice President Joe Biden left office, he willfully retained and disclosed highly classified materials, including documents about military and foreign policy in Afghanistan and other sensitive national security matters. In February 2024, special counsel Robert Hur refused to prosecute him, because jurors would have viewed Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Listening to these newly released clips from the Biden-Hur October 2023 interviews leaves little to wonder about why the Biden White House refused to release the recording. COLORADO: Colorado Democrat Governor Jared Polis just signed a radical transgender bill into law. It makes “misgendering” someone a “discriminatory act.” They’re allowed to change their designation up to three times upon request. How are the rest of us supposed to keep up?!

DEMOCRATS: The same people who are sneering at us to get over and move on from the whole Biden dementia cover up thing are (again) demanding “reparations” be paid to people of color for that thing that none of them were alive to experience. Hey, I’m more than willing to foot the bill for “forty acres and a mule” going to anybody who has personally been held as a slave in this country. And I’d go so far as to insist on prosecuting the criminal(s) who made it happen.

DOGE: Current year non-defense federal obligations are down 20.5% as compared to 2024. USPS canceled or modified 1,076 contracts, netting We the Taxpayers $188.5 Million. Other agencies terminated 262 wasteful contracts, saving another $230 Million. We are no longer going to pay $13.8 Million to fund DEI marketing research to produce “analytical and initiative support on building the case for health equity.”

ELLIS ISLAND MEDAL of HONOR: Founded in 1986, the Ellis Island Medals of Honor are presented annually to those who have shown an outstanding commitment to serving our nation. A ceremony and gala dinner are held each May on Ellis Island in the Great Hall where immigrants were once processed. All branches of the United States Armed Forces traditionally participate. Both the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate have officially recognized the Ellis Island Medals of Honor, and each year’s recipients are read into the Congressional Record. The photo shows six of the 80 Americans who received the award in its first year. MENTAL HEALTH: A survey by the Institute of Family Studies and Gallup showed a strong correlation between mental health and political ideology. Only 55% of the offspring of liberal parents reported good or excellent mental health, compared to 77% of adolescents with conservative or very conservative parents.

On May 16, the Supremes ruled 7-2 (Alito, Thomas dissenting) that a lower court’s injunction shall continue “pending further proceedings is granted.” Despite many statements on social media, SCOTUS did not rule against Trump; they ruled in favor of the case being heard by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Shell Game

In September 2013, James Comey was appointed by Barack Obama to the position of Director of the FBI. On May 9, 2017, Donald Trump fired him. Despite having held this powerful position for four years, Comey’s X profile (@comey) says only, “Author of legal thrillers (latest, FDR Drive, out May 20th). Husband, father, pop. Lawyer, teacher, speaker. Taller and funnier in person.”

On May 15, 2025, James Comey posted the photo above to his Instagram account. He wrote that it was a “cool formation I saw on my beach walk.” “86” is slang meaning to “get rid of.” It can refer to anything from throwing out spoiled food to murdering someone. “47” is a reference to the current President of the United States.

After setting off a firestorm, Comey disingenuously posted the above. He was the FBI Director for four years, but doesn’t know what 86 means? Puh-leeze.

The kindest thing I can think is that he has a book coming out this week. If you didn’t know before, you do now. Senator Josh Hawley [MO-R] wasn’t amused.

Neither were these people …

Ed Krassenstein, whose bio suggests he has built his “career” largely on posting anti-Trump crap, jumped on the “86 47” wagon and posted his own version. Like Comey, he got a visit from the Secret Service.

Liberals are busy pointing out stuff like this. I think there is a significant difference between “86 46” and “86 47” which is that nobody ever took a shot at Joe Biden.

EDUCATION: Eight federal agencies are terminating another $450 million in grants to Harvard University in response to the institution’s refusal to end anti-Semitic and racist practices. The May 13 statement linked below explains why.

ISIS PLOT FOILED: The DOJ says Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said (19) arrested on May 13 after undercover law enforcement officers learned of his ISIS-inspired plan to conduct a mass shooting at the mililtary arsenal in Warren, Michigan.

Brig. Gen. Rhett R. Cox, the commanding general of the U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command, urged all soldiers “to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to their chain of command, as the safety and security of our Army and our nation depends on our collective efforts to prevent insider threats.”

LIAR: During a hearing on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Sen. Patty Murray [D-WA] told HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that “the thoughtless mass firing of thousands of critical employees across NIH and HHS that you carried out” was preventing her constituent, Natalie Phelps, from participating in a potentially life-saving clinical trial.

Later, Kennedy looked into Natalie’s case and reported she had been deemed “medically ineligible” for the trial. “It had nothing to do with the [reduction in force] and NIH had been trying to get her into another clinical trial, but none of our clinical trials were shut down because of the R.I.F. That was a canard.” (A canard is “an unfounded or false, deliberately misleading story.”)

MAGA: Forty-seven percent (47%) of likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction. Rasmussen’s Mark Mitchell reports this is the highest “right direction” number Rasmussen has seen in its 20 years. Meanwhile, Trump’s approval rating is at 51%. So much for Hakeem Jeffries’ claim that he is the “most unpopular president in history.”

MEDIA BIAS: [11:48] – I was only surprised that Dems managed to drag Dementia Joe through 4 entire years. When he got elected in 2020, I seriously assumed they would remove him within months so they could elevate the VP. It seems like they didn’t figure on Jill’s tenacity or Kamala’s kamala-ness.

NATIONAL INTEL: Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has fired the top officials leading the National Intelligence Council – whom whistleblowers describe as “radically opposed to Trump” — and has moved the agency to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, or ODNI, to ensure she can block any “politicization of intelligence.”

QATAR: Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), called the gift “corrupt” and a “grave national security threat.”

SYRIA: Now that Assad is gone, Trump is lifting sanctions and warming diplomatic relations with the country’s de facto new leaders. He says he wants to give them “a chance at greatness.”

VAXXX: Health officials here and in Europe are recommending that adults aged 60 and up not receive the only available chikungunya vaccine after reports that older individuals who received the shot suffered severe symptoms typically associated with the chikungunya virus. Two of the patients died.

Catholicism and the Faith “versus” Science Myth

You know, it’s funny when people hear that Pope Leo XIV has a math degree, taught physics, and wrote a thesis on monastic leadership, they act like it’s some wild plot twist. The Catholic Church has always been low-key obsessed with education. I mean, did you know nearly every pope since the Renaissance has had a PhD? Benedict XVI had five. Cardinals today basically need doctorate-level expertise to even get a seat at the table.

Leo XIV isn’t an outlier; he’s following a 2,000-year-old playbook where faith and reason are BFFs. HYPOCRITES: The Episcopal Church has been partnering with the US government for decades to resettle refugees. But the minute Trump gave refugee status to Caucasians from South Africa, the church announced they were done with all that mess.

BEAUTY: If you believe that one of God’s attributes is beauty, then it will come as no surprise that He hardwired us to love it. A study entitled “Neural Correlates of Beauty” was published in the Journal of Neurophysiology in April 2024. It reported that looking at beautiful paintings instantly lit up a specific brain region of the frontal cortex, an area dubbed “the beauty center.”

This phenomenon is accompanied by notable reductions in stress markers, increases in immunity markers, improvements in moods, and faster healings after surgery. Studies have shown these effects triggered by natural or man-made scenes of nature, by figurative art, and by classical music.

S&G: Judge Charlotte Sweeney ordered the Elizabeth School District (in Elizabeth, a suburb southeast of Denver) to restore sexually explicit, profane, and “transgender” books from school libraries because their removal had been “motivated by the directors’ ‘commitment to conservative values. The court questions what could be more partisan or political than removing books to further the board’s self-described conservative values.”

This after the judge, who is an “out and proud” lesbian, specifically refused to actually look at the books in question! But I’m really really certain fer shure that her ruling had nothing to do with her own partisan political values. Nuh uh. Nope. Not one smitch!

UK: Trump Ag Secy, Brooke Rollins, says Trump’s tariff deal with the UK is a win for farmers and ranchers because it reduced the UK’s ethanol tariff from 19% to 0%.

VAXXX: A study entitled “Impact of mRNA and Inactivated COVID-19 Vaccines on Ovarian Reserve” was recently published in Vaccines. It reports the results of a small, but disturbing analysis of the impact of the ‘rona jab on female mice.

The researchers note that “these results should be interpreted cautiously, as preclinical models cannot be directly extrapolated to human reproductive health. Further longitudinal studies in human populations, including assessments of AMH levels and antral follicle counts, are necessary to validate these observations and determine their clinical significance.”

I have thoughts. But mostly tears.
