Mama Buzz sent me these videos
These guys calculated where in the U.S. they could watch the eclipse AND see the International Space Station TRANSIT in front of it. It turned out one of them knew people who owned land there, so they were able to get permission to set up their equipment and film. Wild! The ISS transit begins at 3:48. And their photos of the eclipse begin at 6:27.
This is a nifty compilation of 22 of the best photos taken by anyone anywhere.
And finally, Mama Buzz recently got to hear these guys perform this in concert! What a privilege. She wants me to point out to you that they do NOT have any instruments, JUST their voices! In this arrangement, the two guys on either end are doing the instrumentals. And yes, that guy on the right really IS doing all the drum sounds with his MOUTH. I’m listening for the third time … I need a tissue!

The very same media that again and again used “Republican overreach” as a tactic to damage the GOP whenever a Democrat scandal rose up — the media that set that precedent now wants us to side with them when the Trump administration chooses to communicate directly through social media?
The very same media that asked 23 follow-up questions of Trump and none of Hillary — the media that set that precedent now wants us to side with them when the White House limits the press briefings they can peacock in?
The very same media that said nothing when Obama hired a 9-11 Truther as a Czar (and later hired him as one of their own) — the media that set that precedent wants us to be upset over Ivanka and Jared?
The very same media that showed absolutely no interest in recovering even one of Hillary’s 33,000 illegally deleted emails — the media that set that precedent, now wants us to share their outrage over the fact that Don Jr. tried to recover them in a 20-minute meeting?

Good night, Freddie Gray and Marilyn Mosby
Following the utter failure of state prosecutors to make any case against the LEOs in the death of Freddie Gray, the DOJ has announced it will not pursue charges.
From the start, there existed no factual basis on which any of the officers could be found guilty of any criminal misconduct. And as the cases proceeded, all evidentiary surprises ended up being to the benefit of the officers.
Cornell Law Professor William Jacobson summarized his opinion of prosecutor Marilyn Mosby’s behavior in perpetrating this extended witch hunt:
“Mosby, you have shamed your office in pursuing policitally-motivated prosecutions in order to appease a mob of rioters and hooligans who threatened to burn Baltimore down. You could have been honorable and brave and stood up to the mob, but instead you sought quiet instead of justice. Perhaps you had greater political ambitions, or just were a coward. Either way, you disgraced yourself. You are a joke, a laughingstock, to be remembered as we now remember Mike Nifong. Congratulations.”
Mike Nifong was the district attorney for Durham County, North Carolina, who was removed, disbarred and jailed following court findings concerning his conduct in the Duke lacrosse case.

What Happened?
The only book about Hillary Clinton that I want to read is “What REALLY Happened in Benghazi.”
In her book, Hillary reportedly blames her loss on a fake voter turn-out study, Russia, FBI Director James Comey, the “bankrupt” DNC, misogyny and sexism.
Her last book bombed and she’s been whining the same garbage for months to anyone who will listen. If Simon & Schuster takes a bath on “What Happened”, they will totally deserve it.

Democrats Alienate Catholics

In states like Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and all through the Midwest, the Catholic vote is a very important voting bloc no matter what you are running for. The last thing Democrats should be doing is to purposefully stiff-arm people we are going to need to win.
But that’s what they’re doing.
Last week during a confirmation hearing for Amy Coney Barrett, a nominee for the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Dianne Feinstein, the Democratic U.S. senator from California, attacked Barrett for her Roman Catholic faith.
The face of the Democratic Party has increasingly become the face of celebrity, scold, and entitlement. The people they used to attract to their “stand for the working class” creed have faded from their reach; they have lost touch with their needs and values and they certainly have lost touch with any type of meaningful message.
They do not celebrate hard work, they demand supporters are pro-abortion, expect them to be agnostic and also expect them to stand for their multitude of identity politics. Instead of bringing people together and being part of a greater political party, division is the only way forward.
A nationwide exit polling data shows Trump won Catholics by 52 percent to 45 percent over Hillary Clinton. A huge swing from the past two elections for Barack Obama when Catholics voted for him by margins of 9 points in 2008 and 2 points in 2012.

NARAL quotes the pope? BWAHAHA!
The pope ALSO says abortion is murder. Ahem.
I don’t know if Pope Francis actually said that rescinding DACA was not pro-life. But even if he did, it has no bearing whatsoever on the FACTS that:
(a) Obama overstepped his authority in ordering it in the first place, and
(b) Trump was on solid constitutional grounds in rescinding it and telling Congress to pass it properly if they care so much.
Nobody ever said the pontiff from Argentina knew diddly squat about our form of government.

The Surprising Benefits of Heat Killed Bacteria
I administrate a Facebook group called Fermenting: Healing Through Food and, today, someone asked if heating sauerkraut destroyed the pro-biotics. I had always heard this was true, but thought I’d google for an actual temperature to share with her, in case she wanted to try to learn how to enjoy her kraut at less than hot temperatures.
What I found really surprised me.
Some might argue that dead bacteria are better than live.
Lots of research suggests that the benefits of probiotics are from the dead bodies of the bacteria, not the living colonies they are thought to form. Veterinarians have used “heat-killed Lactobacilus” for farm animal probiotic support for years. Only recently has the FDA approved the use of heat-killed bacteria for human probiotics.
In other words, heating may kill the bacteria, but that might actually be better than eating them live.

The little bit I understood of the science in these three articles suggested I shouldn’t be so fussed about not heating my ferments sometimes, because it’s apparently giving me some immune benefits I hadn’t considered. Neat!

Eat too little, get fat
Sounds weird, right? But the phenomenon is well documented.
“The act of reducing the amount of calories that you consume for a sustained period of time (more than 21 consecutive days) causes a number of damaging changes to your metabolism, hormones and thyroid systems. The result is what most people have come to know as starvation mode.”
The study linked below found that more than 90% of the “Biggest Loser” contestants who were tracked over time gained back all of the weight they lost during the competition. And this was despite the fact that they had continued to eat fewer calories.
- Why? Because their bodies continued to burn, on average, 700 calories LESS per DAY than before the competition!
And the reason is common sense simple. Our metabolisms don’t know we have ready access to grocery stores year round. They adapt to a reduction in calories as if it were due to a bad harvest or an extra long winter. They go into starvation mode in order to help us survive until food is plentiful again.
Some of the symptoms of starvation mode include a body temperature 1-2 degrees below normal; cold hands, cold feet, or cold intolerance; constant fatigue; changes to hair texture or thickness; hair loss; irritability; depression; food cravings; dizziness or lightheadedness; trouble falling asleep or staying asleep.

MORE proof of voter fraud
In the November 2016 election, 6,540 voters used out-of-state driver licenses to cast ballots via New Hampshire’s lax same-day voter registration law.
Of those, 5,313 neither registered a vehicle in New Hampshire nor obtained a New Hampshire driver’s license by the state’s deadline for new residents.
Consider these facts:
- The most likely individuals to go to New Hampshire to vote illegally are those who are closest to New Hampshire.
- All of the states surrounding New Hampshire are Democrat strongholds.
- Democrat Maggie Hassan beat Republican incumbent Kelly Ayotte for the Senate seat by only 1,017 votes in November 2016.
- 5,313 fraudulent votes were cast in New Hampshire in November 2016.
