Bits & Bytes

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, let us never become so discouraged by our failures that we stop coming back to You for forgiveness and a fresh start. We ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

BORDER: Remember when Biden took office and halted construction of border wall that was already paid for? He left piles and piles of expensive border wall units sitting around, then put them up for auction for pennies on the dollar. Lone Star State Attorney General Ken Paxton sued to block the sales and won.

CHURCH OF ENGLAND: A whistle blowing vicar says Anglican priests throughout England were urged to modify “problematic” Advent hymns and Christmas carols that might be possibly offensive to non-Christian. One example of offense was affirming that Jesus Christ is the true Messiah. Why am I not surprised to learn that, over the past decade, more than 400 Anglican churches in Britain have shut down due to a lack of attendance and support from the local community?

COVID-19: The Wall Street Journal has done some actual journalism, revealing what those of us who were paying attention knew early in 2020. That is, that the virus was engineered in and escaped from the Wuhan lab in China.

The WSJ further revealed that three scientists from the National Center for Medical Intelligence – John Hardham, Robert Cutlip and Jean-Paul Chretien – reported this fact to the FBI and were told to shut up about it.

It might be news to the WSJ’s readers that all information about the lab leak origin was omitted from presidential briefings. But it wasn’t surprising to those of us who were paying attention. Real journalists told us years ago that the research funding had Tony Fauci’s sticky fingers all over it.

FAUXTUS: That’s about 52 years worth of vacation days for your average American. And when Slow Joe was in the office, he rarely worked a full day and never worked overtime.

GALLUP: The number of Americans who are satisfied with the way things are going in the U.S. has dropped to 19%. I‘m wondering if the 20% who are not satisfied with our direction, yet approve of Biden performance are mad about Trump’s win.

GEORGIA: A judge in Georgia has issued a ruling forcing Fani Willis to testify under oath before the State Senate to answer for the crimes she committed in the Trump “lawfare” case.

MASCULINITY: “I say embrace masculinity. We need more and more boys to grow up to be strong fathers.” – Kevin Sorbo. CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/k24wFad9IB8 to see one guy who has the good dad thing nailed. We have a similarly good dad here at Casa Hyphen where, years ago, a certain member of the tribe lost her door privileges for a time.

SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN: I’ve heard this used to be a respectable magazine.

SINSICK: William (34) and Zachary (36) Zulock both pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, sexual exploitation of their two adopted sons. The gay couple, who lived in Atlanta, have each been sentenced to 100 years in prison without the possibility of parole. DA Randy McGinley said, “These two Defendants truly created a house of horrors and put their extremely dark desires above everything and everyone else.

GRAMMY NOTES: I want to share my friend Hans’ first podcast @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA325997PgM. He recently retired (again) and, Hans being Hans, came up with yet another new thing to keep him busy. We’ve been friends since high school where we shared the school’s morning announcement duties for “WIHS.” Since then, Hans has managed a radio station, owned and operated an ambulance business, trained and used bloodhounds for search and rescue operations, taught me to rappel, became a forest ranger, met and married the love of his life with whom he adopted and raised 4 kids, supported her through becoming a Lutheran pastor, wrote and published a popular series of Christian science-fantasy novels (see “The Gewellyn Chronicles” by Hans Erdman at Amazon) while his beloved was undergoing cancer treatment, retired from the forest service and started a new career in security at a local college, engaged in a number of bicycle mission trips, and served as a bicycling EMT at numerous sporting events. Phew!

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, help us to trust in Your big plans. Forgive us for the times we have held too tightly to our little plans. Make our paths clear so we know where You want us to go. We ask these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

2024: Insurrection and election denial are cool again!

BEGGING FOR RELEVANCE: Things you say when you know nobody is going to choose you.

CALIFORNICATION: A Madera County Court judge has ruled that this animal’s victims must refer to him as she/her while testifying.

CHICOMS: A former Chinese official has come forward to testify that the Chinese government is not only openly buying and selling human organs, but that they don’t bother to wait for the donors to die of natural causes. Reports of forced organ harvesting from political prisoners have been leaking out of the closed nation for twenty years. Organs are also taken from death row inmates who used to be charged for the bullets or injections used to kill them. Now they get put to sleep, have their organs harvested, then die for free. The official also testified that, for prisoners whose organs match someone who has money for a transplant, it doesn’t matter what their crime was. “They are still sentenced to death.” He also noted he knew a woman who, after an ovary sterilization surgery, she found that one of her kidneys was missing.

CIVILITY: My favorite comment: “Archie Bunker had it right. ‘Meathead!’”

MICHIGAN: All hail, Jackboot Gretch! Under her leadership in 2024, Michiganders are enjoying an unemployment rate that is double the national average.

SCROOGES: At least two delivery drivers dumped Christmas packages in the woods to avoid working late. Police in Lakeville, Massachusetts, found Amazon packages dumped several feet into the woods. The packages were retrieved, counted, and returned to an Amazon distribution center. Amazon is handling the matter internally. The Alabama FedEx driver who also dumped dozens of packages in the woods was not so lucky. FexEx fired him and police have charged him with grand theft, illegal dumping and organized scheme to defraud. So far as I can tell, all the dumped packages were ultimately delivered.

TDS: We need to continue to pray for divine protection.

DAILY PRAYER: O Lord, enlighten our hearts that evil desires are darkened and send down Thy grace to help us glorify Thee. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

DOGE: The Biden administration gave $2.5 million of our money to 24 schools to finance a 10-week long “intervention” designed to help LGBTQ-identifying youth “cope with the effects of minority stress.”

We’ve also been stuck with paying $53 million to maintain a super yacht we confiscated from a Russian oligarch, just in case it has to be given back.

The RAAAACISM idjits in Loudon County should read the tags on their clothes. Cotton is the most common and least expensive natural fiber we have available to us. But, since it costs more than its usual substitute, polyester (which is primarily made from petroleum-derived chemicals), it is something of a luxury fiber.

Merry Christmas!

DAILY PRAYER: Thank you, God for sending Your Son on one glorious night to be born of a virgin, to live a perfect life, and to die on the cross for our sins. Thank you that He rose from the dead three days later and that, on this and every Christmas, we can celebrate the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Amen.

GRAMMY NOTES: Bootz served at the altar for the first time on Christmas Eve!

GRAMMY NOTES 2: Actually, it isn’t. My guess is they go with their husband’s and grandparent’s traditions. I have been homebound by disability since they were very small. If I had insisted, my husband and kids would’ve stayed home with me.

But his family always did/does the big gathering with a real tree, turkey and trimmings, aunts, uncles, and cousins, going to Mass as a family and taking up yards and yards of pews. They live 4 hours away, so holiday trips are always at least one and usually more than one overnight.

I wanted my girls to soak in that culture and sense of belonging while they were young, so I spent 13 Christmases alone. It sucked. I cried, watched a lot of movies, and waited for them to come home so we could open my presents together.

His family also did/does the huge Thanksgiving thing and they always went to that as well until, one year, I just had had enough and said I wanted Thanksgiving to be MY holiday. My best holiday memories are from the days when the five of us turned off the phone on Wednesday and focused on doing delicious, fun, relaxing, and sometimes silly things together until school resumed on Monday.

The girls still talk about the year we put together a ginormous jigsaw puzzle and got grease on some of the pieces from all the nachos we ate while doing it. Another year, we got out all the board games they had outgrown and didn’t want to save for their own kids. We played them each one more time before giving them away and I had prizes for everyone at the end.

We also didn’t do turkey. Instead, we had food adventures. One year, the girls had gotten an American Girl colonial era cook book, so we each picked a dish to make. We had an elaborate kitchen schedule for who began when and got which pans, burners, and oven time. The food was wonderful. Another year, I got each of us a Cornish game hen so we could have “individual turkeys.” But I think the most memorable seems to be the year we had shark. Mama Buzz still talks about that. LOL

GREENLAND: If Trump gets his way, the U.S. will be buying a yuge chunk of land. On Sunday, he said that U.S. control and ownership of Greenland is “an absolute necessity” for “national security and freedom throughout the world.”

On Monday, Greenland Prime Minister Mute Egede replied, “Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale. We must not lose our long struggle for freedom.”

Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark but has wide-ranging autonomy. The United States has made previous offers to purchase Greenland, first in 1867 and again in 1946. I wouldn’t put money on this third bid failing, cuz, you know, Trump.

PARTY OF HYPOCRISY: CLICK https://rumble.com/v61wmrh-kamala-campaign-mega-fundraiser-calls-it-quits-like-leaving-a-cult.html?e9s=src_v1_upp [3:13] to see DNC National Finance Committee member Lindy Li explain why she has left the “shrinking tent” party. This is not an official #WalkAway video, but it could be.

She says, “They pretend to be so loving and caring and embracing of diversity but all of a sudden, when I dare to utter any criticisms of the goddess Kamala Harris, I get ostracized. Me, after having raised tens of millions of dollars for the party. … [L]eaving the Democratic Party or even questioning the Democratic Party is like leaving a cult. It’s terrifying. I don’t want to be a part of this craziness anymore.”

WHERE’S PETA?!: The White Coat Waste reports that the NIH has been using our money to finance the torture of cats, supposedly in the name of essential scientific progress.

In 2024, our National Institutes of Health (NIH) spent $1.5 million on a study at the University of Pittsburgh that could potentially aid in the treatment of conditions like vertigo or helping us understand the effects of space travel on the human body. Four to six month old kittens are first tied down for hours or weeks until they stop resisting restraints. Then they have parts of their brains severed or removed, so they are still alive but devoid of any cognitive function. Some have holes drilled into their skulls to allow their sociopathic tormenters to lock their heads into place. Then, they are strapped to a hydraulic table that tilts and spins them in all directions for 8 to 12 hours or longer, all in a gruesome effort to induce severe motion sickness. Their eyes are subjected to bright, flashing lights and, if they fail to vomit, researchers inject copper sulfate directly into their stomachs.

Also in 2024, the Department of Defense (DOD) gave the sons and daughters of Josef Mengele at U Pitt to slice open the backs of male cats and insert electrodes into their spinal cords so they could shock them for up to ten minutes to stimulate penile erections. Then, they severed their spinal cords to paralyze their lower bodies and continued the shocks for another 10 minutes. In another experiment, the so-called scientists at Pitt shoved marbles up cat rectums, attached electrodes to their spinal cords, and shocked them until they pooped out the marbles. One particularly unfortunate cat had to endure 11 minutes of relentless shocks just to expel four marbles. The report includes close ups of the marbles as they emerged from the cats’ anuses. All in the name of “national security.”

DAILY PRAYER: Heavenly Father, fill our hearts and minds with gratitude and awe for the magnitude of love that was made manifest in Jesus. In His precious Name, we pray. Amen.

BORDER WALL: [4:30] – Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick joins ‘America’s Newsroom’ to break down how he’s stopping Biden’s attempt to sell border wall for scrap. And the mayor of New York sings a very different tune.

DENZEL WASHINGTON: Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington was baptized at a church in New York City over the weekend and officially received his ministry license — an event he revealed was prophesied 50 years ago by a woman in his mom’s beauty parlor who told him, “Boy, you are going to travel the world and preach to millions of people.”

END TIMES: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mdB1pVSPvp8 for an important message from exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger.

FAUXTUS: On Monday, Biden commuted the sentences of 37 (of 40) prisoners on the federal government’s death row. These individuals, all convicted of murder, will now serve life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Among the clemency recipients was a man who raped and murdered 8- and 9-year-old girls, then strangled a female naval officer. Another forced a 12-year-old girl to watch him murder her mother before murdering her. Nine of them were originally convicted to life in prison for murders, but then were convicted to death after killing prison guards and/or fellow inmates.

Although Biden says he is opposed to the death penalty, he left three men on death row. They include Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of the Boston Marathon bombers; Robert Bowers, who killed 11 at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018; and Dylann Roof, who killed nine black Charleston churchgoers in 2015.

Yet he commuted the death row sentences of Iouri Mikhel, was convicted of murdering five Russian and Georgian immigrants after kidnapping them for ransom; of Kaboni Savage, convicted of committing or ordering the deaths of 12 people, including four children as a Philadelphia drug dealer; and James Roane, Jr., who participated in the murder of 11 people as a drug dealer in Richmond, Va.

THE ROTTEN APPLE: Police have arrested the perp. They believe he did not know his victim. This is the tenth murder on a New York subway train this year.

The murder occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at about 7:30 a.m. At 3:40 pm, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, with no reference to the horrific crime, inexplicably tweeted – “In March, I took action to make our subways safer for the millions of people who take the trains each day. Since deploying the @NationalGuardNY to support @NYPDnews and @MTA safety efforts and adding cameras to all subway cars, crime is going down, and ridership is going up.”

Two hours later, she tweeted that the suspect was in custody, then congratulated herself again on the excellent work being done by law enforcement on her watch. Comment: “Hey Kathy Hochul, You could’ve prevented today’s horror if you deported illegals instead of using tax dollars to give them free hotel rooms, cell phones, and debit cards. Today’s gruesome loss of life is your fault. You need to do like Cuomo and resign.”

TEXAS: The last time Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX-12) cast a vote in Congress was on July 24th, 2024. Since then, her constituents in Tarrant and Parker County have had zero representation. The Dallas Express got curious about where she was and did some digging. They found her living in an elder care facility. Do these people not have to even show up to keep collecting their six-figure pay checks?!

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, As we rush through the countdown days until Christmas Eve, we ask that you help us keep our minds and hearts fixed on You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

CATHOLIC: [2:39] – I saw a documentary once about these small shrines. The custom began in Europe and was brought to the states where Catholic immigrants built them in their often-tiny front yards.

CONNECTICUT: Rep. Rosa DeLauro has been representing the third district (New Haven) for 23 years. Despite being 81 years old, she was just elected for yet another term. She is the Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee. The banner on her government web page shows her with a teacher and some little kids; everybody is masked. Her net worth is $30 million.

My favorite comment on the clip: “Who can expect people to take you seriously when you present yourself in this manner. A member of Congress. Seriously?” – Carol Tisdale

EDUCATION: Lame duck Biden has thrown in the towel on student loan forgiveness and on forcing schools to accept mtf trannies on girls’ teams. And an Ohio school district has lost an English teacher’s pronouns lawsuit. Two years ago, Jackson Memorial Middle School fired English teacher Vivian Geraghty for choosing her Christian faith and proper English over affirming two trans students. The district will be coughing up a $450,000 settlement.

FAUXTUS: [4:01] – Last Thursday, The Wall Street Journal published a piece called, “How the White House Functioned With a Diminished Biden in Charge.” It was obvious to the 2020 campaign that Joe Biden was unfit for the office.

JOBS: Under the Biden administration, good jobs reports have gotten headlines, but when the numbers were later revised downward, the media mostly ignored it. In 2022, Biden’s Bureau of Labor Statistics overstated job creation by more than 1 million. In 2023, revised employment growth down by 443,000 jobs, which was over 40% of payroll growth. This year, the Biden administration puffed up their initial job growth numbers by 3 million.

NEW HAMPSHIRE: Somebody has twice beheaded the goat god statue the Satanic Temple put up in front of the New Hampshire State Capitol. It has been repaired again. I’m personally opposed to using vandalism to fight spiritual wars. It would be far more effective to do binding prayers and pray the rosary.

DAILY PRAYER: Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

CATHOLIC: In AD 325 Emperor Constantine convened the very first ecumenical council, the Council of Nicaea. More than 300 bishops came from all over the Christian world to debate one of the early church’s most intense theological questions.

Arius of Alexandria had been teaching subordinationism, the idea that Jesus, the Son of God, was not equal to God the Father, but rather had been created by God before He created time.

The bishops at Nicaea declared this to be heresy, that Jesus is consubstantial (of the same substance) with the Father. A later council would declare the Holy Spirit to be consubstantial with the Father and the Son, thus formally defining the orthodox doctrine of the Holy Trinity.

Bishop Nicholas of Myra, whose person became the foundation for Saint Nick/Santa Claus, was at the Council of Nicaea, where he is said to have been a staunch opponent of Arianism. There is an old legend that he felt so strongly about the matter that, during the council’s deliberations, he actually slapped Arius. However, this story is from more than 1,000 years after Nicholas died. It makes for some funny Catholic nerd memes, but I find it difficult to believe it ever happened.

CONGRESS: Trump &c successfully blocked a bloated, 1500-page Continuing Resolution and got it replaced with a more streamlined 116-page bill that was passed in the wee hours of this morning, December 21, 2024.

CLICK https://x.com/bennyjohnson/status/1869494238016352651 [2:26] to hear Fox News report on how much Elon Musk had to do with killing the pork.

DEM LIE: Dems are furious at the failure of their attempt to fund woke projects and are casting Republicans’ as the bad guys for, get this, refusing to fund cancer research funding for children.

A stand-alone bill called H.R. 3391 – 118th Congress “Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0” was passed on March 5, 2024, by the Republican-controlled House. This bill was received by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions [HELP] on March 8, 2024, where it languished, without action, for nine months. HELP, which is chaired by Bernie Sanders, has 20 other members who are evenly between Democrat and Republican.

Yesterday, this Dem-led, Dem-majority committee finally got their thumbs out to send the bill to fund kids’ cancer research to the Senate, where it passed without amendment by a voice vote on the same day, December 20, 2024 … right after the porky 1500 page CR failed.

Whatcha wanna bet the Dems sat on this bill specifically so they could include it in some porky package like the 1,500-page CR. Then, on the off chance their pork didn’t make it through, they could do what they’re doing, which is whine about how eeeeevil Republicans (wiping tears) don’t care about kids after they’re born!

POLLINATOR NEWS: [1:57] – Five years ago, the northern giant hornet was first spotted in Washington state near the Canadian border. This invasive breed is known for its ability to slaughter a honey bee hive in a matter of hours. These vicious bugs have 6mm long stingers and can spit venom. (Brr.) GOOD NEWS!! On Wednesday, we learned they have been eradicated in the U.S.

I’ve gotta tell you, as an entomologist — I’ve been doing this for over 25 years now, and it is a rare day when the humans actually get to win one against the insects,” Sven Spichiger, pest program manager of the Washington State Department of Agriculture.

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Jesus, help us to simplify our activities and traditions so we can focus our celebration on Your birth. Thank You for being the Prince of Peace! Amen.

CALIFORNICATION: CLICK https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1869539589045858596 [2:42] to hear San Francisco’s Weight Czar Virgie Tovar (author of “You Have the Right to Remain Fat”) explain what Cake Related Fatphobic Incidents (CRFI) are and why we should stop them.

Not The Bee writes, “Yes, San Fran has gone beyond the standard leftist utopia of poop on the streets, homeless encampments on every corner and drug needles in every direction, and has decided to spend taxpayer funds on a fat woman to advise them on … ‘weight stigma and weight neutrality’ so that residents don’t feel guilty when ‘moralizing impulses’ tell them to stop eating.”

Tovar is employed by the HEALTH department. Obesity increases risk of developing the following: Type 2 diabetes; High blood pressure; Heart disease; Stroke; Metabolic syndrome; Fatty liver diseases; Some cancers; Breathing problems; Osteoarthritis; Gout; Diseases of the gallbladder and pancreas; Kidney disease; Pregnancy problems; Fertility problems; Sexual function problems; and Mental health problems.

FAUXTUS: [1:46] – It’s his last chance to pad those secret bank accounts in the Caymans.

J6: The report by the House Oversight Committee shows that the gallows structure the Left used to fuel outrage against Trump and his followers was probably a federal plant. The United States Capitol Police guidelines prohibit the construction of temporary structures on Capitol grounds. They made no effort to investigate it, turning a blind eye while the thing was being built, for the entire 26 hours it was in place, and while it and all its materials were destroyed.

PSA: Don’t handle bat poop. Or pigeon poop for that matter. Both are known carriers to vicious bacterial and fungal infections. Two guys who decided to use bat poop on their marijuana plants are now dead. So, maybe also don’t smoke either. If you need to clean up bat or bird poop, the second link has safety instructions.

SCHOOL SHOOTINGS: Dem “solutions” are only about passing more gun control laws. But the latest school shooter violated two existing gun laws. And, oh yeah, she murdered people, which is also illegal. Click the first link below to read about what was probably the primary reason for this young woman to choose murder and suicide over a productive life. At the second link, Andy Ngo reports on her manifesto.

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us all to focus on the central point of Christmas, which is to welcome Jesus into our hearts and lives. Making the holidays special is important, but it isn’t the reason for the season. Guide us in finding a good balance. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

2024: The Electoral College voted on Tuesday, formalizing President-elect Donald Trump’s 312 vote victory over Vice President Kamala Harris’ 226. A U.S. presidential candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win. Trump also won the popular vote with 77.2 million votes compared to Harris’ 75 million votes.

CONGRESS: On Wednesday, Trump, incoming administration nominees, and House Republicans succeeded in getting the House to scrap a 1,547-page, year-end, pork-loaded spending bill. Among other things, it would have given massive pay raises for Congress members, allowed them to avoid Obamacare, shield corrupt Jan. 6 House committee members like Liz Cheney from congressional subpoenas, and extend the life of a censorship agency within the State Department.

Noting that the giveaways were bribes to get Schumer and Biden to approve aid to farmers and disaster relief, Trump said, “Republicans must GET SMART and TOUGH. If Democrats threaten to shut down the government unless we give them everything they want, then CALL THEIR BLUFF.”

FAUXTUS: A new Marquette poll likely cements Joe Biden’s status as least popular president ever. At the end of his first (and blessedly only ever) term, he scored a -32 (Approve: 34% minus Disapprove: 66%). By comparison, at the end of Trump’s first term, he scored a +6 (Approve: 53% minus Disapprove: 47%).

GEORGIA: This morning, the Georgia Court of Appeals found in favor of Donald Trump’s suit to disqualify the biased and corrupt Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the election-related criminal case against him and about a dozen codefendants.

J6: On Tuesday, House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight released a new report that concludes the events of J6 were preventable. It also outlines why Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney should be investigated for witness tampering while serving as Vice Chair of the January 6 Select Committee. Cheney was one of the two NeverTrump Republicans that Pelosi agreed to allow on her corrupt kangaroo committee.
