The Fifth Commandment: You shall not kill.

Respect LIFE

The Book of Exodus, translated literally, says “You shall not murder” (Ex 20:13).

We should easily understand the distinction, since our own laws distinguish between First Degree (pre-meditated) Murder, Second-Degree (meant it but didn’t plan it) Murder, Manslaughter (my own actions could and did cause the death of another), Self-Defense (it was him or me), and Accident (someone died because of me, but I had no way of foreseeing or preventing it).

This is why Catholics are not forbidden to serve in the military, where killing is possible and possibly for many even likely, but where murder is never condoned. Not ever. (I’m a military mom. Do NOT get me started on the slander the Left spews about MY KIDS on this and other — e.g., torture — topics.)

Why does the Church teach that it is never permissible to murder?

God alone is Lord over life and death. Human life is sacred, because it belongs to God. It is His property. Therefore, an attack on human life is a sacrilege committed against God.

No right will be long guaranteed

What sorts of attacks on human life are forbidden by the Fifth Commandment?

  • Murder and acting as an accomplice to murder are forbidden.
  • Killing unarmed civilians during a war is forbidden.
  • The abortion of a human being, from the moment of conception on, is forbidden.
  • Suicide, self-mutilation, and self-destructive behavior are forbidden.
  • Euthanasia—killing the handicapped, the sick, and the dying—is also forbidden.

Today people often try to get around the Fifth Commandment with seemingly humane arguments. But neither euthanasia nor abortion is a humane solution. That is why the Church is perfectly clear on these questions. Whoever participates in an abortion, forces a woman to undergo an abortion, or merely advises her to do so is automatically excommunicated—just as with other crimes against human life. If a psychologically ill person commits suicide, responsibility for the act of killing is often diminished and in many cases completely annulled.

Way to go, TEXAS!

July 3, 2013: The Texas House State Affairs Committee last night passed a bill to ban abortions in the state after 20 weeks of pregnancy and hold abortion facilities accountable for obeying basic health and safety standards. The last attempt to pass the bill was halted in the state Senate with a pro-abortion filibuster but state Sen. Wendy Davis says she will not filibuster the bill a second time.

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/07/03/texas-committee-passes-bill-to-ban-abortions-at-20-weeks/

Wendy’s supporters showed their deep commitment to “The Children” by forcing their kids to carry obscene signs proclaiming the their mommies would’ve happily murdered them in utero if they’d been inconvenient or imperfect. But that’s the Left. Abusing their children both before and after birth.

Pro Aborts abuse their kids after birth too

2013_06 Texas Democrats support murder by torture

Not your body

For the record: Dana Delany has been tweeting mega-props to Wendy Davis, so I will no longer be watching Body of Proof. “Props” is a jargon way to say Proper Recognition or Proper Respect Due. Commonly used with “to (someone).”

Blood on their hands

Personally opposed doesn't make you a liberal

The Obama administration has decided to put off imposing the “must provide health insurance to employees” mandate on businesses with more than 50 employees. It’s not gone, just … you know … POSTPONED … until … wait for it … AFTER the midterm elections next year.

And oh by the by, those of us who do not have insurance at work? We are not getting any deferral. We either have to purchase an individual policy or pay the fine.

Individual Mandate for Dummies

And either way … policy or fine … that money WILL GO TO PAY FOR FREE STERILIZATIONS AND ABORTIONS.

O-Baal-Moloch

I made the Moloch cartoon during the 2008 campaign. It was NO SECRET that Obama and the Democrat Party were not pro “choice” but PRO ABORTION. It seems to me that unrepentant Christians who support(ed) them and their ungodly agendas are going to be hearing, “I never knew you”, when they get to the Judgment Seat.

Our Lady of the Sierras

Recently, I posted a photo of a statue of Mary that came through the Black Forest fire unscathed @ https://polination.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/look-who-survived-the-black-forest-fire/.

Mama Buzz emailed back to remind me of the similar miraculous survival of the statues at Our Lady of the Sierras Shrine in Hereford, Arizona.

The Buzzers were near there when the Monument Fire burned out of control. Daddy Buzz helped fight it, while Mama kept the car packed and the kids ready for possible evacuation. Thankfully, they, their home and personal belongings were not touched.

But the Mary shrine at Hereford was in the middle of one of the evacuated areas hit hardest. Mama Buzz sent me photos and links so I could blog about it for you. Our God is so amazing!

Priests for Life issues Open Letter to Nancy Pelosi

If you go to http://www.priestsforlife.org/pelosi/, there is a button at the end of the letter to allow you to have an email sent to her office indicating that you, too, agree with the letter.

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Dear Mrs. Pelosi,

Last Thursday, June 13, you were asked a question in a press briefing that you declined to answer. The question was, “What is the moral difference between what Dr. Gosnell did to a baby born alive at 23 weeks and aborting her moments before birth?”

Given the fact that the Gosnell case has been national news for months now, and that Congress, where you serve as House Democratic Leader, was about to have a vote on banning abortion after 20 weeks fetal age, this was a legitimate question.

Instead of even attempting to answer the question, you resorted to judgmental ad hominem attacks on the reporter who asked it, saying, “You obviously have an agenda. You’re not interested in having an answer.”

Mrs. Pelosi, the problem is that you’re not interested in giving an answer.

Your refusal to answer this question is consistent with your failure to provide an answer to a similar question from me and the members of my Priests for Life staff. Several years ago, we visited your office with the diagrams of dismemberment abortion at 23 weeks, and asked the simple question, “When you say the word ‘abortion,’ is this what you mean?” In response, nothing but silence has emanated from your office.

In what way is this refusal to address an issue of such national importance consistent with the leadership role you are supposed to be exercising? Public servants are supposed to be able to tell the difference between serving the public and killing the public. Apparently, you can’t. Otherwise, you would have been able to explain the difference between a legal medical procedure that kills a baby inside the womb and an act of murder — for which Dr. Gosnell is now serving life sentences — for killing the same baby outside the womb.

Moreover, you stated at the press briefing on June 13, “As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this. I don’t think it should have anything to do with politics.”

With this statement, you make a mockery of the Catholic faith and of the tens of millions of Americans who consider themselves “practicing and respectful Catholics” and who find the killing of children — whether inside or outside the womb — reprehensible.

You speak here of Catholic faith as if it is supposed to hide us from reality instead of lead us to face reality, as if it is supposed to confuse basic moral truths instead of clarify them, and as if it is supposed to help us escape the hard moral questions of life rather than help us confront them.

Whatever Catholic faith you claim to respect and practice, it is not the faith that the Catholic Church teaches. And I speak for countless Catholics when I say that it’s time for you to stop speaking as if it were.

Abortion is not sacred ground; it is sacrilegious ground. To imagine God giving the slightest approval to an act that dismembers a child he created is offensive to both faith and reason.

And to say that a question about the difference between a legal medical procedure and murder should not “have anything to do with politics” reveals a profound failure to understand your own political responsibilities, which start with the duty to secure the God-given right to life of every citizen.

Mrs. Pelosi, for decades you have gotten away with betraying and misrepresenting the Catholic faith as well as the responsibilities of public office. We have had enough of it. Either exercise your duties as a public servant and a Catholic, or have the honesty to formally renounce them.

Sincerely,

Fr. Frank Pavone

National Director, Priests for Life

The email option allows you to simply send the above or you can delete any or all of it and write your own. I doubt Mrs. Pelosi will ever see my email, but I wrote the text carefully anyway.

Subject line: Mrs. Pelosi, I am praying for your soul

When God calls you to your Final Judgment, He will not be interested in how you voted for food stamps so that other people could feed the poor (while you increased your personal fortune by millions).

What He will want to know is, “Where were you when I was in utero and people were pressuring my mom to have me aborted?”

I believe He will also want to know where you got off citing your Catholic faith and using the word “sacred” about your support for the cruel destruction of pain-capable and viable or near-viable fetuses.

Human life begins at conception and abortion is evil. The Catholic Church has taught this for millennia. Your support for abortion is bad enough; acting like you have a moral obligation to support it because you’re Catholic is pure sacrilege.

You’re past your four score and ten, ma’am. If I were you, I’d be thinking and praying hard about the rapidly approaching day when God Almighty will call you to account. All of your power and connections and millions are as filthy rags to Him. His judgment will be final and Heaven and Hell are eternal.

Common Sense TV

Best line: “Maybe people are opposed to Obamacare because it’s no damn good.” LOL!!

Have you noticed how it’s only OBAMA’s supporters who are obsessed with his SKIN color? Dontcha think if he had done anything GOOD during his years in office, they’d be talking about THAT stuff, not harping on how much melanin he has?  It’s because he’s been such a total EPIC FAILURE that they have to keep playing that raggedy old RAAAAACISM card.

Tell me who you hang out with

Anna Maria Chávez, head of Girl Scouts USA, says her favorite quote is:

“Tell me who you hang out with and I’ll tell you who you are.”

Okay. I’ll tell you.

GSUSA hangs out with people and organizations that openly promote teen sex, legal prostitution, abortion, infanticide and euthanasia.

Girl Scout cookies fund

Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA) is a co-founder and largest financial supporter of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

In May 2013, WAGGGS participated in “Women Deliver”, a global conference whose featured speakers included Dr. LeRoy Carhart, one of the most notorious late-term abortionists in the country; philosopher Peter Singer, supporter of not just abortion, but infanticide and euthanasia; and Obama’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, instigator of the HHS mandate forcing Pro-Lifers to pay for abortions.

Session titles included “Outing and Addressing Abortion Stigma” and “Why I Perform Abortions.” Exhibitors included many abortion advocates including Planned Parenthood Federation of America, International Planned Parenthood Federation, Amnesty International, Guttmacher Institute, , Marie Stopes International, and the United Nations Population Fund.

In December 2012, WAGGGS and International Planned Parenthood Federation worked together to create the Bali Youth Declaration, a document which called for abortion rights for youth, comprehensive sex education and the “decriminalization of sex work” (prostitution).

GSUSA also maintains membership in The Coalition for Adolescent Girls, which similarly promotes comprehensive sex education and abortions for young girls.

The GSUSA curriculum (the Journey series used and promoted by every Girl Scout council) encourages girls to work with or research activist groups. The groups recommended in the curriculum demonstrate the organization’s immoral far-left agenda. Many (like Planned Parenthood) are actively pro-abortion; none are pro-life.

In the horns of the bull

2013_05 26 Conjunction in constellation w Liberty

For my first blog on this sky sign, see https://polination.wordpress.com/2013/05/27/signs-in-the-sky/.

May 23, 2013, just three days before the stars and planets lined up over our national symbol in this ominous manner, a coalition from the Methodist Church, United Church of Christ, Jewish Council for Public Affairs, National Council of Jewish Women and Union of Reform Judaism sent a letter to Congress, officially opposing H.R.1797, the “District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.”

This bill, sponsored by Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz), would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, when fetuses are near or at viability and are known to be not just capable of experiencing pain, but of actually feeling it much more intensely than we do, because they have not yet developed the capacity to filter out or ignore stimuli.

In their letter, these alleged servants of God stated: “We stand united across our faith traditions in opposing this extreme legislation.”

“Extreme.”

God said He knows each of us personally in the womb. He vehemently opposed the sacrifice of children to pagan gods, especially Moloch, the Bull god, into whose fires LIVE babies were thrown.

But these “religious” leaders call an attempt to stop the cruel and wanton destruction of innocent lives “extreme.”

Now, I know these people don’t represent all religions or even a majority of the people in their own denominations. But they are taking a leadership role, in the name of their churches, on behalf of evil.

Moreover, these people and their followers support the Democrat Party leaders who have held majority rule in Washington since January 2007.

2012 Democratic Party Platform on Abortion: We strongly and unequivocally support Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including obtaining a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right.

In other words, no limitations will be tolerated and yes you stupid Pro-Lifers will be forced to cough up the bucks to pay for it.

  • Nation-wide, 22% of all pregnancies end in abortion.
    • That’s more than one in five.
  • In New York City, 40% of all pregnancies end in abortion.
    • That’s two out of five and nearly double the national average.
  • And the Democrats who run the nation and their apologists who call themselves our religious leaders support this.

God will not be mocked.

Catholic teaching on human dignity

Abortion Industry still at large

Every person, from the first moment of his life in the womb, has an inviolable dignity, because from all eternity God willed, loved, created, and redeemed that person and destined him for eternal happiness.

If human dignity were based solely on the successes and accomplishments of individuals, then those who are weak, sick, or helpless would have no dignity.

Christians believe that human dignity is, in the first place, the result of God’s respect for us. He looks at every person and loves him as though he were the only creature in the world.

Because God has looked upon even the least significant child of Adam, that person possesses an infinite worth, which must not be destroyed by men.
