Their concerted efforts to ignore facts
Jay Carney left TIME to perform as Obama’s personal liar. Now he’s left the White Hut for a gig at CNN. Tweeters reported that his first outing — interviewing John McCain about ISIS — didn’t go well at all. My favorite tweet: “ISIS may not be JV, but Jay Carney certainly looked like it during that debate with McCain.” I kind of cleaned up and organized McCain’s remarks, because the substance of what he said was really worth reading.
Facts are stubborn things. The Iraq War was won thanks to the Surge. The victory was there. All we needed was a force behind to provide support – not to engage in combat – but to supply support, logistics, intelligence. After the Korean War, we left troops behind. After Bosnia, we left troops behind. Not to fight but be a stabilizing force.
All of Obama’s military advisers told him we needed to leave a residual force in Iraq. Lindsey Graham, Joe Lieberman and I, we were in Baghdad. They wanted a residual force.
Obama refused and bragged about pulling all our troops out. But removing out troops is the reason we’re facing ISIS today.
President Obama says we have not yet detected specific plotting against our homeland. But on the day he left our prison in Iraq, Mr. Baghdadi [head of ISIS] said, “See you in New York.” ISIS is urging attacks on the United States on Twitter and Facebook.
Today, we had a hearing and there was testimony from the counterterrorism people and the Department of Homeland Security. There is a great concern that both our southern and northern borders are porous and that they will be coming across.
So is there a specific, direct threat? No, but is there any doubt to what their goal is?

President Obama delayed the Osama bin Laden raid for months out of fear of what a failed attempt would do to his re-election chances. He sent the men in the rescue helicopters back to their bunks as he watched our people die in real time at Benghazi. And he delayed the mission to rescue James Foley and other ISIS hostages so long, it failed. Why? Because he didn’t want to be “Carterized.”

The press at first quibbles, then nods in agreement, and Obama is empowered to do it again and again. We have not seen such a disingenuous president since Richard Nixon — but he, at least, was countered rather than enabled by the media.”

PROOF! Not a “smidgen” of corruption at the IRS!
On September 4, 2014, Judicial Watch released a new batch of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) emails obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.
- These emails prove that the Obama IRS solicited donor lists from non-profit political groups that were neither needed nor used by the agency to determine tax-exempt status. Of the groups from whom donor lists were inappropriately solicited, 75% were politically conservative, while only 5% were politically liberal.
- These emails show that the purpose for obtaining these lists was a “secret research project” being handled by top level officials in the DC office of the IRS, but do not reveal the nature of that project.
These email PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt that Lois Lerner and Barack Obama both LIED last winter when they blamed the illegal IRS targeting of conservative political groups on “bonehead decisions in local offices.”
Two emails from Lois Lerner, Obama’s Director of the IRS Exempt Organizations Unit, state clearly that all tax-exempt status decisions had to have the express approval from her D.C. office.
A third email, this one from IRS attorney Michael Seton to Lois Lerner and other senior IRS staffers, detailed the steps required for this process: “Please inform the reviewers and staff in your groups that before issuing any favorable or initial denial rulings on any cases with advocacy issues, the reviewers must notify me and you via e -mail and get our approval. No favorable or initial denial rulings can be issued without your and my approval.”

Had America focused on what Obama had done before he ran for president and noticed what he did during the campaign, there would never have been a President Obama to surprise us now.
The National Journal warned us in 2008 that Obama was the most partisan of the 100 U.S. senators. Did we assume that he would revert to something that he never had been?
Then there is the matter of the presidential untruths. The problem is not just that Barack Obama says things that are untrue but that he lies about what Barack Obama has said. But his prevarication too is habitual and was known in 2008.

The ability to read other people comes more easily if you’re interested in others, curious to learn what makes them tick. It comes harder or not at all if you’re transfixed with your image of yourself.
Which seems to be the case with Barack Obama. He is not much inclined to schmooze even his fellow Democrats. That goes double for Republicans. Obama is also known to have frosty relations with most foreign leaders.
Obama critics have pointed out his fondness for the first person singular. He said “I,” “me,” or “my” 63 times in his 1,631-word eulogy for Hawaii senator Daniel Inouye. He spoke twice as long about his own family experiences as the heroism for which Inouye was awarded the Medal of Honor.

Why does Obama keep using the acronym ISIL?
On June 13, 2014, President Obama carefully SPELLED OUT the acronym ISIL as “EYE ESS EYE ELL”, but then said, “a terrorist organization that operates in both Iraq and in Syria.”

Why is that weird? Because it is the more common acronym – ISIS – that stands for Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. ISIL stands for Islamic State in Levant.
I don’t think his insistence on ISIL is a mistake. With only a single exception on August 9, Obama has used “ISIL” in every statement he’s made this summer, even while reporters asking him questions referred to the group as “ISIS.”
Is his choice significant? I don’t know. Maybe ISIL is just what his intell wonks use. Or maybe he’s broadcasting a message of support for the destruction of Israel. I lean to the latter explanation, because I have not forgotten these two official White House photos. But I could be totally off base.
