First, thank you all for the kind words yesterday. I put a lot of effort into trying to bring you things you may not find if you don’t have the time to surf that I do. Friday is usually the day I post mostly positive, uplifting news after the normal depravity and chaos that has consumed our culture. I did find some fun things, but some of it is not so cheerful. But it is what it is. Since DW is visiting her dad for a few days, after I finish the post today I’m treating myself to one of the best Italian beef sandwiches in town and an order of breaded mushrooms. Mama can’t stand them, but I LOVE mushrooms so I have to seize the opportunity when it arises. It may not be the healthiest food choice, but I don’t have a lot to lose at this point so might as well enjoy life now.

ET TU, FIFA?
With the exception of the United States, the most popular sport on the planet, far and away is football (soccer). People take it very seriously. And as usual, there is money in it. Big money. The World Cup is played every four years and is broadcast across the globe to billions of rabid fans. Turns out FIFA operates on the same principles as the American political system. If you wanna play, you gotta pay. There are a small number of officials on the FIFA board who determine which country will host the games. The US Justice Department has handed down a 45-count indictment and so far 14 individuals have been indicted.
FIFA indictment: Seedy inner workings and how one bribe led to the next
On May 15, 2004, FIFA’s executive committee held a vote to select the host nation for the 2010 World Cup. In the running were South Africa, Egypt and Morocco.
Among those in the room that day were Jack Warner and Chuck Blazer, each of whom had a vote.

Several months earlier, Warner, former president of CONCACAF, and Blazer, the former CONCACAF general secretary, travelled to Morocco and met with a member of the country’s bid committee. During the meeting, the Moroccan official offered Warner $1 million in exchange for his vote.
Chuck Blazer plead guilty to racketeering, wire fraud, money laundering and other charges. (AP)
Little did the Moroccan official know his bribe wasn’t even close; South African officials were prepared to do 10 times better, offering Warner $10 million.
South Africa eventually won the bid, getting votes from Warner, Blazer and one other associate who were in on the fix.
Loretta Lynch-Whitey Goes After FIFA

Many of the individuals and organizations we will describe today were entrusted with keeping soccer open and accessible to all. They were expected to uphold the rules that keep soccer honest and to protect the integrity of the game. Instead they corrupted the business of worldwide soccer to serve their interests and to enrich themselves.

AH!BUT SEE IF YOU CAN GUESS WHO LYNCH-WHITEY IS NOT GOING AFTER:

Corrupt FIFA Has Clinton Foundation Ties; World Cup Host Qatar Gave Millions
ISN’T IT IRONIC THAT WHEN THERE’S A SHADY DOLLAR TO BE HAD,THE KLINTOONS ARE RIGHT THERE.

The Clinton global charity has received between $50,000 and $100,000 from soccer’s governing body and has partnered with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association on several occasions, according to donor listings on the foundation’s website.
Involvement with the embattled body extends beyond the foundation to Bill Clinton himself. The former president was an honorary chairman of the bid committee put together to promote the United States as a possible host nation for the 2018 or 2022 World Cup.
When the U.S. lost the 2022 bid to Qatar, Clinton was rumored to be so upset he shattered a mirror.
But apparently Qatar tried to make it up to him.
The Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, partnering with the State of Qatar, “committed to utilizing its research and development for sustainable infrastructure at the 2022 FIFA World Cup to improve food security in Qatar, the Middle East, and other arid and water-stressed regions
throughout the world,” according to the Clinton Foundation website.
The cost of the two-year project is not listed on the Clinton Foundation website, but the Qatar 2022 committee gave the foundation between $250,000 and $500,000 in 2014 and the State of Qatar gave between $1 million and $5 million in previous, unspecified years.
Clinton Foundation took at least $1,250,000 from Qatar and World Cup committee embroiled in soccer bribery scandal – and up to $100,000 from FIFA itself
‘Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee’ is the entity responsible for organizing the Gulf state’s 2022 World Cup bid and the resulting preparations
FIFA itself is also listed as a donor to the foundation, giving up to $100,000
Clinton Foundation website discloses donations from the committee of between $250,001 and $500,000, including a donation in 2014
Qatar itself has donated between $1 million and $5 million to the foundation, and did it before 2014
The tiny Middle Eastern country won the rights to host the 2022 global soccer tournament in December 2010
Clinton Foundation later said Qatar worked toward ‘utilizing its research and development for sustainable infrastructure at the 2022 FIFA World Cup’
WHAT A TRAGEDY THAT THESE TWO CORRUPT PARASITES WILL SOON HAVE THEIR HANDS ON CONTROL OF THE COUNTRY ONCE AGAIN.

BACK TO BUSINESS TUESDAY
First,my thoughts and prayers go out to a friend of The Grunt and I, Texan 59. He lives in flood-ravaged Texas and was a regular commenter on another site (yes, there ARE other websites.) May God keep him and his family safe. I’m wondering if Barry plans to offer federal disaster aid to the state that’s been the biggest pain in his bony ass. If the past is any indicator, he’ll completely brush them off as he has every other red state. It’s a safe bet Texans won’t whine about a government handout. They’re used to dealing with foreign intruders.

SOMETIMES YA JUST GOTTA SMILE
There are a lot of days where doing this post is a lot like having constipation. It’s difficult getting started, but once it does it can go on for an uncomfortable amount of time. I really try to avoid posting about Killary, but I don’t remember a time when somebody could suck up every CC of oxygen in the room for as long as she has. I’m getting started late, so it’ll take me through an episode of Maverick, 2 Riflemans and a Wyatt Earp just to get finished. I feel pretty goofy today so either it’ll be a good post or I’ll end up with the back door trots.
REMEMBER MY POSTING THE THING ABOUT THE WOOKIE YESTERDAY? GUESS WHAT I FOUND ON FB?
SHE’S GOT AN ASS LIKE TWO SOWS TRYING TO GET OUT OF A GUNNY SACK. I DON’T BLAME BARRY FOR BEING A CLOSET HOMO. GETTING NEAR THOSE THIGHS COULD RUIN YOU. LITERALLY. TIE A BOARD ACROSS YOUR ASS SO YOU DON’T FALL IN, CHUM

I’D NEVER SERVE THIS PRICK ANYTHING I DIDN’T SPIT IN FIRST

WHEN YOU GET TO THE POINT YOU CAN TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF AND SHE DOESN’T LAUGH ANYMORE YOU GOT A KEEPER. TOOK MONTHS WITH MY BELOVED CHILD BRIDE.

EVEN THE SMALL THINGS ARE PRECIOUS
We met my uncles and two of my cousins for our regular Thursday morning breakfast get-together. It’s one thing I can look forward to every week that brings me great joy. As we were leaving this morning, my cousin said she had granny’s old jewelry box with her, and did I want it back? I said ‘sure’ and so she got it out of her car and gave it to me. I remember it sitting on granny’s bedroom dresser for years. There was some jewelry left in it. Nothing of real value, but there was a rhinestone pin in the shape of a diamond she used to wear when she got dressed up to go out with Grampa. It brought back a flood of memories that had been dormant for many decades. She wore it to our church’s Christmas services and even wore it the day we buried the love of her life in 1972. After I fix a couple drawer pulls I plan to give it to my daughter to hand down to my granddaughter. I’m on the fence whether to keep the pin or give it to her, hoping she might cherish it as much as I do. It has absolutely no value money-wise, but it is priceless to me.

SOMEHOW, SOME WAY, SOME DAY
Probably not in my lifetime, but some of these liberals will actually suffer some real punishment for the decades of atrocities they’ve committed in the name of diversity, fairness, social justice, and just plain greed. It just gets so depressing to see the crap they pull over and over with no fear whatsoever of consequences. The more blatant the lies and theft they commit the richer they become. I had given some thought to making this a 100% Hillary post because there’s so much in the “news” anymore but even I couldn’t stand that much. Maybe I’ll do it one day.

IS IT FRIDAY YET?
Why does it seem like the journey from Monday to Friday is a marathon and from Friday to Monday is a sprint? Of course, when you’re retired every day is pretty much the same. I’m glad to see Mindful stopping by again. He adds a great deal of insight into the exchange of ideas here.
GRANNY: I’M NOT RUNNING A RESTAURANT HERE. SUPPER’S AT SIX. IF YOU’RE HERE YOU EAT,I F YOU’RE NOT YOU DON’T.

HAPPY FRIDAY
Another week almost finished. Still waiting for the weather to warm up for more than a day. And stop raining every weekend. There’s a big flea market at our county fairgrounds this weekend. DW mentioned it in passing, which means: I WANT TO GO. Since I had to sell all my toys I don’t collect anything and don’t have the disposable income I once had. But there’s an avon rep who sets up there where my beloved child bride stocks up on her year’s supply of Imari, her favorite fragrance. She also picks up some of D#1’s favorite perfume. I’d really rather not go, but over the years I’ve developed a healthy fear of her. Just sayin’.

THIS JUST IN:
NEWS FLASH! According to the latest statistics there are more Angus steers killed than any other kind of cattle. THIS SENSELESS SLAUGHTER MUST STOP! #Black Lives Matter
Yesterday’s discussion was most gratifying. What I love about our little garden is we can express our opinions openly, honestly, and rationally, without anyone being judgmental. I so appreciated everyone’s thoughts and the valid points everybody made that perhaps others had not considered. If only we could have this type of dialogue on a national level maybe we’d start to understand each other. That, obviously, will not happen because of the control the leftist media has over the national discourse. At least we can talk about whatever we have on our minds here. I don’t much give a damn what anybody else thinks. I’m too old to worry about it.
