The centralizing of power into the hands of a few has two consequences we are seeing writ large with Obamacare.
- It greatly magnifies the harmful effects of dumb decisions made by incompetent people in high places.
- It makes graft and corruption cheaper and easier for those with the will to abuse the system for personal gain.

Nanny State Government Strikes Again
A Canadian school sent this note home to the mom who had packed her children’s lunch with roast beef, potatoes, carrots, oranges and milk. Because she had neglected to include the government-mandated GRAIN, the school gave the kid some Ritz crackers and fined the mom $10.
Why grains? Mostly because they keep. Their nutritious value does not compare with the whole, FRESH foods this mom packed for her child.
Research shows that people whose diets are high in WHOLE grains have lower rates of heart disease, diabetes, and tend to be leaner and healthier than people whose diets are high in REFINED grains.
These studies do not compare the health of people who eat WHOLE grains with the health of people who have LITTLE or NO grain in their diets.
But the grains vs. no grains dispute has no real bearing here, since Ritz Crackers are made with REFINED grains anyway. And they’re loaded with saturated fat and sodium, so basically, this Real Foods mom was fined for NOT including CRAP in her kids’ lunches.
To drive home the absurdity of the Nanny State’s Food Police Policy, this mom who is now $10 poorer reports she could have packed Kraft mac & cheese, a hot dog, a package of fruit twists, a Cheestring, and a juice box and it would have been met with approval by the Big Government Knows Best Nutrition Fascists.
Don’t get my point? Check out how “nutritious” (not) FIVE Ritz Crackers are compared with the CARROTS the mom had packed.
If the benefit to eating grains is to encourage heart health and discourage pudginess and diabetes, then I’m thinking RITZ crackers stuffed with white flour, saturated fat and salt pretty much totally defeats the point of eating grains at all.
But never mind all that. Nanny State says, “You must eat crackers.” So cough up that $10, you Bad Mother Feeder, you!

Shredding the Constitution
August 6, 2013: Federal agents in full body armor staged a pre-dawn raid on the home of journalist Audrey Hudson waving a warrant to search for unregistered firearms and a potato gun.
During the raid, the agents confiscated registered firearms, as well as documents and notes for which they had no warrant. While they ransacked the home, the armed agents held Hudson and her husband in the kitchen.
One of the agents asked Hudson if she was the person who had written a series of Washington Times stories critical of the Federal Air Marshal program in the mid-2000s. She was. And the documents the agents seized … surprise, surprise (NOT) … were all related to those stories. Agents also took the reporter’s personal, handwritten notes and accessed her personal Facebook page.
This was nothing more than a federal violation of Hudson’s first, second and fourth amendment rights.
- NOTHING the agents FOUND was illegal or improper in any way.
- NOTHING the agents TOOK was on the search warrant.
- NEITHER Hudson nor her husband have been arrested or charged with anything.
- SPUD GUNS are NOT even illegal in the state of Maryland where this raid occurred!
The Washington Times is suing.

Disgusting!
We saw earlier this week how our narcissistic, petty-pants, banana dictator of a president spent more money trying to prevent WWII vets from visiting their own open-air memorial than ever gets spent babysitting the area when the government is not shut down.
Now we hear via Breitbart that the vile little toad has sent National Park Service (NPS) personnel out across the country to shut down HUNDREDS of parks and historic sites that the federal government DOES NOT FUND!
The famous Ford’s Theater — site of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination — is run by a private non-profit group.
Obama had it forcibly shut down.
The Claude Moore Colonial Farm (CMCF) in Virginia receives ZERO funding from the government.
Obama ordered the NPS to barge in to the Farm, without prior notification, and remove all staff and volunteers, then barricade the public access points, right before a scheduled event.
In Arizona, 100 campgrounds are managed by Recreation Resource Management and fully funded by visitor fees.
Obama had all of them forcibly shuttered and all campers kicked out.
George Washington’s home — Mount Vernon — is run by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, a group that takes no federal or state money to operate.
God bless those Southern Belles! They told the NPS stormtroopers to skedaddle. Mount Vernon was staying open.
Newt Gingrich tweeted that Obama wasn’t going to take THAT lying down. No sirreeeeee. He had his Spite Squad barricade the bus turn-around. I mean … those damn Mount Vernon ladies are probably Tea Party Terrorists … or something.

It’s going to get worse
Under Obamacare, the federal government will have total control over the standards by which parents are allowed to raise their children.
These standards will be enforced via mandatory home visits conducted by entities appointed and funded by the federal government.
Their job will be to identify families that “need” to be visited and to intervene in the home life so as to meet federally mandated benchmarks.
Visitation mandates may include children being required to go to certain schools, take certain medications, receive certain vaccines, or even have limited – or no – interaction with parents.
- A homeschooling family, for instance, may be subject to ‘intervention’ in ‘school readiness’ and ‘social-emotional developmental indicators.’
- A farm family may be subject to ‘intervention’ in order to ‘prevent child injuries’.
Home visit “intervention” will be at the discretion of the agency, which could target families for any reason.
The Health and Human Services’ website states that families in the following “high-risk” categories will be definitely targeted:
- Mom is not yet 21.
- A child has low student achievement, developmental delays, or disabilities.
- Someone uses tobacco.
- Someone is serving or formerly served in the armed forces.
This will not be a voluntary program.
Failure to allow home visits or to comply with dictates could result in removal of children from the home.
The Obama administration claims the provision applies only to Medicaid families. The statute, by its own definition, has NO LIMITATION whatsoever.
Intervention may be with any family for any reason and parents will have no right to do anything but comply.

April 2009: A Department of Homeland Security published “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment”, a report which expressed many of the same sentiments and targeted the same people.
August 2009: The Obama administration created flag@whitehouse.gov and encouraged people to rat on their friends, acquaintances, colleagues and neighbors who don’t like Obamacare.

January 2013: The Director of Terrorism Studies at West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center published a paper in which he identified racists/white supremacists, anti-federalists and fundamentalists as the three far-right groups responsible for a “dramatic rise in the number of attacks and violent plots” in America.
Anti-Federalists: He defined these as people who discuss and object to a “New World Order” and who feel that the federal government has become overly corrupt or tyrannical, infringing our Constitutional rights.
- RAAAAACISTS: Anybody who doesn’t like Obama’s policies.
- Fundamentalists: Christians who take the Bible seriously.
August 2013: the Concord, New Hampshire Police Chief asked Homeland Security for a quarter million dollar armored vehicle which he said they needed to combat domestic terrorism threats by “groups such as the Sovereign Citizens, Free Staters and Occupy New Hampshire.

Sovereign Citizens: The worst the FBI has to say about Sovereign Citizens is that since 2000, lone-offender members have killed six law enforcement officers nationwide.

Free State Project: This group promotes New Hampshire as a great place to live, because it has a “small government” attitude. The group has all of seven members in Concord.

Occupy New Hampshire: This group is Left-wing, pro-Obamacare and anti-business.
Interesting aside. I went to Occupy New Hampshire’s website. They are decidedly unhappy about the Concord PD characterizing them as domestic terrorists. But hey, that’s how it goes when you support Big Government. Why shouldn’t the PTBs turn the vast machinery you handed them AGAINST you, huh?
You think your Obama t-shirts make you safe? Read the history of the French Revolution. When those turkeys got done slaughtering their enemies, they turned on each other and then the people got so sick of the violence that they elevated a strong leader named Napoleon. Cuz, you know, nothing says “We want freedom” like a guy like Napoleon.

Got good health care?
ObamaCare … The AARP helped shove it down our throats, now seniors are getting it up the back end.
- Care will be rationed according to age. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an “end-of-life planning” seminar every five years. The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.
- Under ObamaCare/Medicare, you can only be admitted to a hospital by your primary physician. If you are admitted by an emergency room doctor, hospital costs will not be covered.
- The IRS will have the power to determine if your insurance policy meets government regulations or if you should be fined and thrown into the Medicaid-Medicare pool.
- The government will have real-time access to an individual’s bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.
- The government will set all doctors’ fees and hospitals are forbidden to expand.
- Non-citizens, including illegals, will receive the same quality of care as citizens and taxpayers.
- ObamaCare will not apply to members of Congress.

As an added bonus, would you believe two of the Loudest of Loud Mouth Lefties — Musket Morgan and Penn Jillette — are GETTING it! Color me all giddy with amazement.
“I’ve had some of the pro-gun lobbyists on here, saying to me, ‘Well, the reason we need to be armed is because of tyranny from our own government,’ and I’ve always laughed at them,” Morgan said. “I said, ‘Don’t be ridiculous! Your government won’t turn itself on you. …
