Let’s Celebrate Black History Month

Black History Month. The month when we concentrate on celebrating the contributions of the noble negro to the American way of life. People like Al Sharpton, Kanye West, DeRay McKesson, Eric Holder, and Barack Obama. True, there are others, like Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, Sen.Tim Scott, but they’re not REALLY black, ya know? Martin Luther King is cited when it is convenient, but the fact he was a republican and would never be accepted in the black culture that dominates today is never mentioned.

Black figures like Crispus Attucks, Harriet Tubman, George Washington Carver, and the Tuskeegee Airmen are no longer considered worth learning about. Today’s black ‘heroes’ are rappers who commit felonies and objectify women, the local drug dealer, savages who attack armed police and pay the price, and pharisees who set themselves up as the spiritual leaders of a community while wearing Rolex watches and living in gated communities, all compliments of the sheep who give them money. That’s why they call them a flock.

Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society was the doom of the black family and they never even realized it. Instead of a man to provide love, counsel, and discipline to his children after he came home from his job, women got a welfare check for every dependent child they had as long as there was no man in the house. It has degenerated to the point where generations of daughters, mothers, and grandmothers have never been to a wedding. There is no emotion attatched to physical relationships.

70% of births in the community are to single women. Multiple children by different fathers is normal. These kids are doomed to perpetuate the cycle of poverty, ignorance, dependence, and violence. Black history will ultimately bring about the end of our nation.

The Thanksgiving Irony

The Mayflower’s Puritan Pilgrims arrived ill prepared for life in the New World. By the end of their first winter, half of the 102 settlers were dead.

Previous European visitors had imported diseases against which the natives had no immunity. In the area where the Puritans settled, pandemics had spared only 1,000 of a once mighty confederation of 20,000 natives.

[It should be noted that Europeans had no understanding of or control over these diseases. In fact, deadly infection could have gone the other way, as it had two centuries before, when sailors returning from Asia unwittingly imported Black Plague, which killed 75 to 200 million Europeans in the space of about seven years.]

The native leader, Massasoit, was not happy the Puritans had arrived; he was even less enthused about their plan to stay.  And when the starved Puritans found some of their cache of corn and took it for their own use, he decided he’d had enough.

It would have been a simple matter for Massasoit’s warriors to wipe out the failing colony. They did not do so because an English-speaking native, a man we know as Squanto, convinced Massasoit to let him help the settlers.

Squanto introduced himself to the Puritans and served as a translator and diplomat for them in their negotiations with Massasoit. He arranged a pay back plan for the corn they’d taken and helped them with local seed and farming advice suited to the unfamiliar climate.

Squanto’s intervention was interpreted correctly by the Puritans as a blessing straight from God. Ironically, this blessing came to these rigidly anti-Catholic Protestants by way of Pope Paul III and a group of Catholic priests!

In the 16th c., some non-Catholic Christian denominations were teaching that the natives in Africa and the New World were not “made in the image of God” human beings, but rather soul-less animals, the same as pigs or cows.  [Sound familiar?]

In 1537, Pope Paul III taught infallibly that this was nonsense.  Native Americans “and all other people who may later be discovered by Christians, are by no means to be deprived of their liberty or the possession of their property, even though they be outside the faith of Jesus Christ.” –Sublimus Dei: On the enslavement and evangelization of Indians (1537)

This is why, in 1614, Catholic priests intervened to spare the kidnapped Squanto from being sold into slavery in Europe.  These priests catechized and baptized him into the Catholic Christian faith.  He then lived and worked among the British, learning their customs and language until 1619, when he returned to his home in the New World.

Tragically, he found everyone in his village had died.  Massasoit was justifiably angry about the European’s diseases, but it seems to me that Squanto, having also been kidnapped by a British slaver, had even greater cause to seek revenge.  The fact that Squanto chose mercy over retaliation suggests to me that he was truly a follower of Jesus Christ.

What an excellently ecumenical God-incidence that the first Protestant settlement to survive in the New World owed its very survival to a baptized Catholic!

HAPPY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY

It’s one of those holidays that only federal employees get to take off. We are watching Miss Isabel and Miss Olivia today. They are currently out with Grandma enjoying a play day with DW’s BFF and her niece, who is Miss Isabel’s age.

Whether you ascribe to your grade school teaching that Columbus discovered America in 1492 or, as a proud Scandinavian like myself, that Erik The Red sailed from Greenland to Newfoundland several centuries earlier is a matter of personal opinion. What is not in dispute, however, is that six cities have changed Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples Day. Not surprisingly, they’re all heavily infested with batshit-crazy folk.

Nine More Cities Change Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day …Because America is Racist, or something

More cities in the United States on Monday will honor Native Americans — instead of celebrating the traditional Columbus Day — as an indigenous movement gains momentum.

Nine new cities decided this year to abolish Columbus Day and celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, including Albuquerque, New Mexico; Portland, Oregon; St. Paul, Minnesota; Bexar County, Texas; Traverse City, Michigan; and Olympia, Washington.

Last year, the holiday was celebrated for the first time in Minneapolis and Seattle, encouraging Native American leaders across the country to push for a new holiday on the second Monday of October that recognizes indigenous people, the Associated Press reported.

Christopher Columbus and the New World
Can we still celebrate October 12 as an American holiday? One man, two narratives: 1. Born to a working-class wool weaver in the port city of Genoa, Italy, Cristoforo Colombo apprenticed as a sailor and went to sea as early as age ten. A self-taught and curious man, Colombo lived by his wits and rose in the heady world of 15th-century sea traders, until he hit upon an ingenious idea: He would outflank the Mohammedan Turks and reach the East Indies by sailing west across the Ocean Sea. After weathering nearly a decade of rejection and failure, in 1492 Colombo won the support of the Spanish Crown and set off on an uncertain journey that inadvertently opened a New World, laying the foundation for that most glittering daughter of the Western heritage: America.

A few thoughts about Gandhi

I was surprised to learn that Mahatma Gandhi was anti-Semitic and that his grandson is continuing to promote his twisted philosophy.

Mahatma and Arun Gandhi

In November 1938, Mahatma Gandhi wrote,

The “German persecution of the Jews seems to have no parallel in history”, Gandhi admitted, and if ever there could be a justifiable war, it would be against the Nazis. “But I do not believe in any war.”

So, what does he suggest the Jews do in face of Nazi persecution? “If I were a Jew … I would challenge [the German gentile] to shoot me. … The calculated violence of Hitler may even result in a general massacre of the Jews. … But if the Jewish mind could be prepared for voluntary suffering, even the massacre I have imagined could be turned into a day of thanksgiving and joy. … The German Jews will score a lasting victory over the German gentiles in that they will have converted that latter to an appreciation of human dignity.”

Restoring the Jews to Palestine was a “crime against humanity”, and the Jews there should follow a similar course in face of Arab aggression, and “offer themselves to be shot or thrown in to the Dead Sea without raising a little finger against them.”

“I am not defending the Arab excesses. I wish they had chosen the way of non-violence in resisting what they rightly regarded as an unwarrantable encroachment upon their country. But according to the accepted canons of right and wrong, nothing can be said against the Arab resistance in the face of overwhelming odds.”

Reading this made my head hurt.

Gandhi’s appeal to “accepted canons of right and wrong” makes no sense in the face of the clear historical fact that Judaeo-Christianity, German Nazism, and Arab Islam have entirely different ideas about right and wrong.  Was Gandhi really so dim-witted that he didn’t understand that his non-violent protests worked in India ONLY because the British were CHRISTIANS who would not massacre non-violent civilians?

Could he not see that the Nazis specifically rejected Jesus’ teachings about universal human dignity?  Nazis believed in brute force and racial superiority, NOT in peace, mercy, forgiveness, and charity toward all.  Seeing Jews line up for slaughter would not have shown Nazis that Jews were humans with a right to life.  It would have convinced them that Hitler was right about exterminating Jews for the good of humanity.

Gandhi claimed his “canon of right and wrong” put non-violence in the number one position.  But note that when he’s talking about Nazis and Jews, he says that anyone using violence to stop Nazis from invading other countries or killing Jews are choosing the greater evil.  But then when he’s talking about Arabs and Jews, he excuses Arabs for killing Jews who settle in Israel, because the invasion of another country is the greater evil.

The only really consistent “canon” I see in Gandhi’s belief system is that Jews should die. And his grandson, Arun Gandhi, seems to agree. In 2008, he wrote in the Washington Post:

“Jewish identity in the past has been locked into the Holocaust experience. It is a very good example of how a community can overplay a historic experience to the point that it begins to repulse friends… The world did feel sorry for the episode, but when an individual or a nation refuses to forgive and move on, the regret turns into anger.”

On the political situation in Israel, he added, “The Jewish identity in the future appears bleak… We have created a culture of violence (Israel and the Jews are the biggest players) and that Culture of Violence is eventually going to destroy humanity.”

Soooooooo … “forgive and move on” applies only to Jews who still mourn the Holocaust 70 years later, but not to Arabs who continue to shed Jewish blood over the founding of the nation of Israel 67 years ago?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

AUGUST,1945; 70 YEARS AGO

Germany had surrendered to the Allies in May, but the war in the Pacific raged on. Iwo Jima, Tarawa, Okinawa. The toll for taking those pieces of real estate was appalling. One cannot imagine what Harry S. Truman agonized over when he was given the alternative of using the atomic weapon we now possessed and kill hundreds of thousands in a matter of seconds or risk losing a million or more American lives fighting a fanatical enemy through an invasion of their homeland where self-sacrifice was a part of their culture. He gave the go-ahead. The die was cast. Hiroshima and Nagasaki became synonymous with total nuclear destruction. We have not had to unleash its power since. No country would think of challenging America’s strength. Through the weakness, treachery and sheer incompetence of our current commander-in-chief the future seems shaky.

The very fabric of our nation?

According to Barack Obama, Muslim Americans have made many contributions “to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy.” That’s only his latest spewing of hot air on the subject. In August of 2010, he said, “American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country.”

2010_08 11 Obama says Muslims have contributed

Islam 101 claims, “Unquestionably, Muslims have made an impact on the evolution of American society.” Then it provides a long list of items. The only notations from the period of our founding include:

  • 1732 Ayyub ibn Sulaiman Jallon, a Muslim slave in Maryland, is set free by James Oglethorpe, founder of Georgia, and provided transportation to England. He arrived home (Boonda, Galumbo) from England in 1735.
  • 1790 Moors from Spain are reported living in South Carolina and Florida.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh … some Muslim guy went home and then some other Muslim guys were maybe living here? Seriously? Those are major contributions to the very fabric of our nation?

The next item is:

  • 1807 United States Congress prohibits the importation of slaves into America after Jan. 1, 1808. Despite suppression of the slave trade during the next 60 years, slavery reached its peak between 1840 and 1860. The last Slave ships to be confiscates by the federal government were Wildfire, Storm King, Williams, Erie, Echo, Cora, and Binita, all of which violated the ban on importing slaves.

It’s almost like they want us to believe that Muslims were the ones stopping those rogue slave ships from arriving, not the ones who were, you know, loading them up with slaves in the first place.

Islam, Blacks and African Slavery: The truth about the American Slave trade [9:19]

More “big Muslim contribution” as per Islam 101:

  • 1856 The United States cavalry hired a Muslim by the name of Hajji Ali to experiment with raising camels in Arizona.
  • 1865 An officer rescues a copy of the Qu’ran from the debris the war had made of the University of Alabama’s libraries.
  • 1870 The Reverend Norman, a Methodist missionary, converts to Islam.
  • 1893 A wave of Muslim immigrants arrives from the Middle East.

I swear … I am not making this up.  The link is down below if you want to check. I googled and found out that the current camel population in the USA is 5,000 imported specimens.  Apparently, Hajji the Camel Raising Muslim did not in fact contribute much of anything to America’s agricultural fabric.

The list shows that, in the 20th century, Muslims started founding Muslim associations. How does Muslims doing stuff with and for other Muslims ever contribute squat to America?

  • 1919 Albanian Muslims establish two of the first associations for Muslims in the United States.
  • 1920 The Red Crescent, a Muslim charity modeled after the International Red Cross, is established in Detroit.
  • 1963 The Muslim Students Association (MSA) is established to aid foreign Muslims students attending schools in the United States.
  • 1971 The Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers is established.
  • 1981 The first American Islamic library is established in Plainfield, Indiana.
  • 1982 The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is established in Plainfield, IN. ISNA is now an umbrella organization for many active Islamic groups seeking to further the cause of Islam in the United States.

The book cited in the video “Islam, Blacks and African Slavery” is “The Legacy of Arab-Islam In Africa: A Quest for Inter-religious Dialogue.”

1938: The Nazis had changed the way the media reported

Yesterday, I wrote about how Obama is blathering that we need to change the way the media reports. And by media, he means Fox News … and anyone else who isn’t “reporting” the Obamacrat’s Brave New World Talking Points. That’s what Hitler did.

2015_07 Obama rips Fox News - Hitler 1938

This morning, I read this from “The War Against God”, written in 1938 by Sidney Dark and R.S. Essex:

“The publication of church news has been much curtailed by legislation, which enacts that all editors must be members of the National Press Association, which requires that its member shall be ready to answer accusations against ‘political reliability. If their explanation is not considered satisfactory, they are expelled from the Association and this means that they can carry on their work no longer. Church papers, parish magazines and other church literature have been brought to a complete standstill. There was an attempt soon after these regulations were introduced to institute a news service by means of duplicating machines, but as soon as this scheme was made known, the duplicators were confiscated.”

As quoted in “The Swastika against the Cross: The Nazi War on Christianity” by Bruce Walker [1008].
