The Inconvenient Truth About the Republican Party

There is a party with a long history of racism and sexism.  It’s NOT the Republican Party!  5 minutes of good history refutes Democrat memes.

Civil Rights: Persons vs. Property

CIVIL RIGHTS unborn babies

Planned Parenthood head, Cecile Richards, says every person has the right to live. This may seem to be an odd statement given that PP kills more than 300,000 unborn babies a year.

The key point to understand here is that Richards doesn’t believe unborn babies deserve to be called “persons.” Science says they are alive and human, but they are classified under the law as PROPERTY.

Legal abortion is the ONLY so-called civil rights issue where a group of living, human Americans moved from being defined and protected as PERSONS under the law to being defined and disposable as PROPERTY under the law.

Slaves and women went the other way. Those were true civil rights advances. Legal abortion is not.

Happy birthday to a great American

Booker T. Washington was born on April 5, 1856, the illegitimate son of a black slave and a white plantation owner. Following emancipation, he worked his way through school, eventually becoming a teacher. In 1881, at the age of 25, he helped to found the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, a college for training black teachers.

Washington devoted his life to improving the lives of black Americans through education and vocational training, with a strong emphasis on teaching the life skills they would need to gain social acceptance, overcome white racism, and lead productive lives. He was often criticized by other black civil rights leaders of his time who found his style too understated and insufficiently confrontational. Washington’s formula for success for black Americans — education, thrift, and hard work — is what many black kids nowadays dismiss as “acting white.”

Booker T. Washington said:

“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.”

And:

“No greater injury can be done to any youth than to let him feel that because he belongs to this or that race he will be advanced in life regardless of his own merits or efforts.”

And:

“There’s a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. … Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well because as long as the disease holds out, they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”

Washington wrote fourteen books, including an autobiography, Up From Slavery, which was published in 1901. He was instrumental in raising the funds for and helping to establish thousands of educational institutions for blacks throughout the south. He remained head of the Tuskegee Institute until his death in 1915, at which time Tuskegee’s endowment had grown to more than $1.5 million, due largely to his efforts.

ISIS PIGS … and where are all the feminists?!

2014-isis-sex-slave-price-list

The UN envoy has also reported the best looking Yazidi virgins are sent to the Islamic State’s adopted capital of Raqqa in Syria where they are stripped naked and sold to the highest bidder.

Women who have managed to escape their abusive captors tell of the pain and suffering they endured under ISIS rule.

“He [the man who bought her] told me he was going to rape me that same day, however ill I made myself. He took me home, tied up my hands and feet, and raped me.

He raped me about five times a day. My sister was barely 14 when they raped her… I could hear her screaming but I couldn’t do anything as I was tied up.”

Some of these abused women and girls have been so severely and irreparably traumatized that they have been driven to end their own lives.

A Kurdish official recently reported that ISIS fanatics executed 19 women for refusing to have sex with its fighters.

Who is and always has been truly pro-life?

The Republican Party, that’s who.  In the 19th c., Democrats sided with slavers. In the 20th c., they opposed civil rights legislation.  It was only after LBJ saw the writing on the wall that he jumped his party on board the Black Train and, as he so colorfully put it, got “niggers votin’ Democrat.”

dem-party-platforms-then-and-now

Since then, Democrats have owned the governments of cities like Chicago and Detroit, which they managed to turn into hell holes for blacks.  And they have promoted abortion and funded Planned Parenthood, which targets minority communities, for what has amounted to a genocidal attack on poor people of color.

abortion-is-genocide

Former president Obama used to mark the March for Life with a White House proclamation praising Roe v. Wade.  If a state cut funds to Planned Parenthood, he’d send federal funds, despite the undeniable fact that the founder of Planned Parenthood was a flaming racist.

sanger-minority-menace

But the times they are a’changing.  As in the days of our first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, we again have an abolitionist in the White House!

2017_01-27-trump-tweets-march-for-life

I read where Whoopi Goldberg said anti-abortion activists should stop using the name “pro-life” because supposedly “everyone is for life.” I don’t agree with her on any of that, including the last part. I know there are people who profit off of and even revel in death.

But what amused me greatly was that Goldberg felt compelled to try to co-opt the name for her side. Clearly, we are making HUGE progress with the public. Otherwise, she’d never do that, right?!

School Daze

It’s hard to imagine how much has changed in the 50 years since I finished high school in 1968. My daughter graduated in 1991, and she was surprised how much had changed in that time. She knew nothing about the dress code; girls had to wear a skirt or a dress, no shorts or slacks. Boys could not wear t-shirts and if their hair touched their ears they were sent home until they got it cut. We had no open campus and we had pretty strict rules that had to be obeyed. Even pocket calculators were fairly new, quite expensive and could not be used for algebra or geometry. Social media was passing notes back and forth.

Fast forward to 2016. We had pizza with daughter, RJ, and Big Sis two weeks ago. We hadn’t seen them in awhile and we wanted to catch up on the latest news. Mom had no doubt regaled her offspring with tales of the horrors she endured when she went to school. I’m sure it was met with the same lack of interest that she had. Kids cannot possibly function without those stupid phones they all obsess over. I’m wondering if the teachers can make them put them away when they’re taking tests. Otherwise, they could text their older sister who had already taken it for the answers. We had to write cheat sheets on our hands, clandestinely hidden in a pocket or hidden elsewhere on our person. It’s for sure we didn’t have daycare for student mothers back then. That’s a big part of the failure of our educational system today.

On a more personal note, apparently Big Sis’s Mandingo warrior kicked her to the curb. She was pretty sullen. RJ, however, has a young lady friend. He showed me her picture on his phone. It faded, so I started shaking it like an etch-a-sketch. He was astonished that I didn’t know how to use one of these. His mom and I agreed it will be a whirlwind romance at best, since when the practice starts for track or wrestling she’ll be an afterthought. Ah, young love.

Michelle Rhee — Supporter of ‘Heavily Regulated’ School Choice — as Education Secretary?

THIS SEEMS LIKE A BAD CHOICE. SHE’S A LIFELONG DEMOCRAT, MARRIED TO FORMER NBA STAR KEVIN JOHNSON, AND LOCKED HORNS WITH THE TEACHERS’ UNION AS THE CHANCELLOR OF THE D.C. SCHOOL SYSTEM WITH HER VOUCHER PROGRAM. DISTURBINGLY, SHE’S ALSO A PROPONENT OF COMMON CORE AND FEDERAL CONTROL OF SCHOOL CURRICULA.

In a 2012 interview with Education Week, Rhee, a Democrat who heads political education lobbying group StudentsFirst, said she supports targeted school voucher programs that provide taxpayer funds to low-income students in poor schools. Her view of school choice, however, is one that would bring greater regulation to private and charter schools.
School vouchers – which are a transfer of taxpayer funds to private and charter schools – have been shown to bring about the highest level of regulation in private and charter schools that agree to accept them.
“It has to be a heavily regulated industry,” she said. “I believe in accountability across the board.”

Mom Left Heartbroken After Teacher Snatched Mic From Autistic Son During School Play
The parents of a 6-year-old boy with autism whose microphone was snatched away during a school play remain heartbroken over the incident.

The boy, Caleb, was dressed as a turkey for the Thanksgiving play at his school in West Virginia, but when he went up to the mic, a teacher pulled it away, leaving him in tears.
She said her boy was excited to be on stage at his elementary school but when the mic was taken away, his mom recalled, “he was up there crying, saying ‘oh no!’ and my heart broke to watch that.”
But the school’s superintendent said the play was over and Caleb wasn’t supposed to speak.
“The program was over and the teacher had taken the microphone without malice. If we had to do it again, probably we all agree, we would have done it a little differently,” the superintendent said.

Why We Desperately Need To Bring Back Vocational Training In Schools
BACK IN MY DAY WE HAD SHOP CLASSES… FOR THOSE WHO DIDN’T GO TO COLLEGE.
WE HAD METALS CLASS, DRAFTING, WOOD SHOP, AND WHAT WAS CALLED POWER LAB, WHERE FUTURE GEARHEADS LEARNED TO WORK ON CARS.
WE ALSO HAD DRIVER EDUCATION, WHICH THEY DON’T OFFER ANYMORE.
But in the 1950s, a different philosophy emerged: the theory that students should follow separate educational tracks according to ability. The idea was that the college-bound would take traditional academic courses (Latin, creative writing, science, math) and received no vocational training. Those students not headed for college would take basic academic courses, along with vocational training, or “shop.”

Pro-gun Republican to grace the $20 bill

From Guns.com.

tweet

In a sense of political correctness turned political irony, the abolitionist and underground railroad conductor will replace Democrat President Andrew Jackson.

On Wednesday the U.S. Treasury reported that Tubman, who during the Civil War was active in the Union cause, serving as a nurse, a cook, spy and scout, will replace Jackson on the front of the bill. The seventh President, whose supporters founded what became the Democratic Party, will move to the back of the bill along with an image of the White House.

Jackson, noted as a military man, has in recent years fallen out of favor over his treatment of Native Americans and the fact that he owned slaves. Earlier this year groups railed against the naming of a new warship, the USS Jackson, by Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, despite the fact that the vessel was named in honor of Mississippi’s capital city by the former Governor of the Magnolia State.

Tubman on the other hand was a supporter of the anti-slavery Republican Party, though some argue she may not have been a fan of Mr. Lincoln’s at the time.

Further, to a degree she encouraged insurrection against the Federal government, helping abolitionist leader John Brown recruit volunteers to seize the Federal Arsenal at Harper’s Ferry in 1859. [story continues here]

(bluebird of bitterness adds: This article does not mention the fact, but Harriet Tubman was also a devout Christian… as if being a Republican sympathizer and pro-Second Amendment were not bad enough.)

Americans died to free Mosul

Then Obama threw it all away by withdrawing our troops too soon. Now horrors like this are all too common. But don’t hold your breath waiting for liberals to give a crap.  FYI: “temporary marriage” in Islam means a man can bang a woman for as long as he pleases, then pass her on to the next “temporary husband.”  IOW, sex slavery.  But as I said, don’t hold your breath.  Feminists are too busy condemning America’s “rape culture” to bother themselves with any place where there is an actual war on women happening.

The very fabric of our nation?

According to Barack Obama, Muslim Americans have made many contributions “to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy.” That’s only his latest spewing of hot air on the subject. In August of 2010, he said, “American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country.”

2010_08 11 Obama says Muslims have contributed

Islam 101 claims, “Unquestionably, Muslims have made an impact on the evolution of American society.” Then it provides a long list of items. The only notations from the period of our founding include:

  • 1732 Ayyub ibn Sulaiman Jallon, a Muslim slave in Maryland, is set free by James Oglethorpe, founder of Georgia, and provided transportation to England. He arrived home (Boonda, Galumbo) from England in 1735.
  • 1790 Moors from Spain are reported living in South Carolina and Florida.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh … some Muslim guy went home and then some other Muslim guys were maybe living here? Seriously? Those are major contributions to the very fabric of our nation?

The next item is:

  • 1807 United States Congress prohibits the importation of slaves into America after Jan. 1, 1808. Despite suppression of the slave trade during the next 60 years, slavery reached its peak between 1840 and 1860. The last Slave ships to be confiscates by the federal government were Wildfire, Storm King, Williams, Erie, Echo, Cora, and Binita, all of which violated the ban on importing slaves.

It’s almost like they want us to believe that Muslims were the ones stopping those rogue slave ships from arriving, not the ones who were, you know, loading them up with slaves in the first place.

Islam, Blacks and African Slavery: The truth about the American Slave trade [9:19]

More “big Muslim contribution” as per Islam 101:

  • 1856 The United States cavalry hired a Muslim by the name of Hajji Ali to experiment with raising camels in Arizona.
  • 1865 An officer rescues a copy of the Qu’ran from the debris the war had made of the University of Alabama’s libraries.
  • 1870 The Reverend Norman, a Methodist missionary, converts to Islam.
  • 1893 A wave of Muslim immigrants arrives from the Middle East.

I swear … I am not making this up.  The link is down below if you want to check. I googled and found out that the current camel population in the USA is 5,000 imported specimens.  Apparently, Hajji the Camel Raising Muslim did not in fact contribute much of anything to America’s agricultural fabric.

The list shows that, in the 20th century, Muslims started founding Muslim associations. How does Muslims doing stuff with and for other Muslims ever contribute squat to America?

  • 1919 Albanian Muslims establish two of the first associations for Muslims in the United States.
  • 1920 The Red Crescent, a Muslim charity modeled after the International Red Cross, is established in Detroit.
  • 1963 The Muslim Students Association (MSA) is established to aid foreign Muslims students attending schools in the United States.
  • 1971 The Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers is established.
  • 1981 The first American Islamic library is established in Plainfield, Indiana.
  • 1982 The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is established in Plainfield, IN. ISNA is now an umbrella organization for many active Islamic groups seeking to further the cause of Islam in the United States.

The book cited in the video “Islam, Blacks and African Slavery” is “The Legacy of Arab-Islam In Africa: A Quest for Inter-religious Dialogue.”

H8ers Lie a Lot

Coexist to Comply

In his dissent on the SCOTUS gay marriage decision, Justice Clarence Thomas wrote:

Human dignity has long been understood in this country to be innate. When the Framers proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal” and “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,” they referred to a vision of mankind in which all humans are created in the image of God and therefore of inherent worth. That vision is the foundation upon which this Nation was built.

The corollary of that principle is that human dignity cannot be taken away by the government. Slaves did not lose their dignity (any more than they lost their humanity) because the government allowed them to be enslaved. Those held in internment camps did not lose their dignity because the government confined them. And those denied governmental benefits certainly do not lose their dignity because the government denies them those benefits. The government cannot bestow dignity, and it cannot take it away.

George Takei twisted this into an obscenity, then called Justice Thomas a “clown in black-face” for saying what he had not said:

And for him to say, slaves have dignity. I mean, doesn’t he know that slaves were in chains? That they were whipped on the back. If he saw the movie 12 Years a Slave, you know, they were raped. And he says they had dignity as slaves or – My parents lost everything that they worked for, in the middle of their lives, in their 30s. His business, my father’s business, our home, our freedom and we’re supposed to call that dignified? Marched out of our homes at gun point. I mean, this man does not belong on the Supreme Court. He is an embarrassment. He is a disgrace to America.
