Update on IRS targeting scandal

A year after the FBI supposedly launched a “vigorous” investigation of IRS targeting of conservative groups and individuals, the FBI has not indicted A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL. Not one. And victims have told Cruz they have NOT BEEN INTERVIEWED by the FBI. That’s “vigorous”? VIGOROUSLY COVERING DEMOCRAT ASSES?

When did this all start?

  • March 31, 2010: At 12:30 pm, National Treasury Employees Union President Colleen Kelly logged into the White House for a personal appointment with President Obama. The NTEU is the 150,000 union that Obama gave enormous discretion over the activities of the IRS, right down to deciding who is allowed a Blackberry. The union’s PAC endorsed President Obama in both 2008 and 2012, and gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles to anti-Tea Party candidates.
  • April 1, 2010: EOT manager, Steve Grodnitzky, initiated Sensitive Case Reports (SCR) for Tea Party cases. The EOT manager answered directly to the EO division’s director … Lois Lerner.

Who is Lois Lerner?

  • Described as “apolitical” in mainstream press coverage of the IRS scandal, Lois’ husband’s law firm hosted a voter registration organizing event for the Obama presidential campaign, praised President Obama’s policy work, and had one of its partners appointed by Obama to a key ambassadorship.
  • Last month, Judicial Watch obtained documents that proved Lerner and officials at DOJ had discussed how they could arrange to have conservative political activists thrown in jail.
  • On June 26, 2011, Lerner personally approved Malik Obama’s tax-exempt request, just one month after he applied on behalf of his shady charity. Lerner simultaneously approved Obama’s half-brother for retroactive tax exempt status to cover the 27 months prior during which he had been soliciting donations illegally.

You need to watch this.

Feb 6, 2014: Tax lawyer Cleta Mitchell told Congress today the IRS is still targeting conservative groups. Mitchell also said the “ongoing” DOJ investigation is a complete sham.

In ObamaWorld, “100%” equals “Not A Smidgen”

The Chairman of the House Ways and Means Chairman says the IRS absolutely singled out conservative tax-exempt groups.

At Washington, DC’s direction, dozens of groups operating as 501(c)(4)s were flagged for surveillance and audits.  Of these, 83% chosen for surveillance were right-leaning while fully 100% of the groups selected for audits were right-leaning.

But President Obama said there is not ‘even a smidgen of corruption’ in IRS.

Wave buh-bye to the nice Constitution, kids.

Charles Krauthammer

“Essentially, [President Obama] passed a law by executive order that the Congress had rejected – wouldn’t pass. That is unbelievably unconstitutional. It’s as if a Republican ran and said ‘I don’t like the capital gains tax.’ Congress rejects an abolition of that tax, and then he orders the IRS not to collect it. People would be up in arms and would be impeaching.”

“These things have the effect of breaking bonds of trust between government and the people. They make citizens see Washington as an alien and hostile power. Washington sees the disaffection. They read the polls, they know. They call it rage. But it feels more like grief. Like the loss of something you never thought you’d lose, your sense of your country and your place in it, your rights in it.”

Dinesh D’Souza – The latest victim of the Obamatocracy

Remember what we learned in school about how no one cared what the Nazis were doing in Germany, because it was “just the Jews”?  America is on the brink.

Media Bias and the New Nixon

The IRS has apologized for targeting conservative political groups during the 2012 election in order to hinder their ability to raise campaign money and support challengers to Democrat candidates.

Now it’s coming out that IRS agents were targeting Tea Party groups in 2011 as well. Color me shocked. Okay. Not so much. Certainly the Palins aren’t surprised.

You know what OTHER administration misused the power of the IRS to target political enemies?

Watergate IRS

What’s the difference? The media. Nixon was a Republican. Obama is a Democrat.

Media Bias and Political Scandals

The MSM is on a feeding frenzy over Republican Chris Christie’s Bridgegate scandal.

2014_01 Bridgegate media frenzy

Now … think back and ask yourself how much “frenzy” there was in their reporting of these Democrat political scandals

Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS targeting Tea Party and Conservative groups, DOJ eavesdropping illegally on Fox and AP reporters, Healthcare dot gov’s epic and on-going failure, NSA eavesdropping on pretty much everybody, Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal, Eliot Spitzer “Client 9” hooker scandal, John Edwards’ infidelity while running for VP scandal, Former Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee Chris Dodd’s sweetheart loan deals, GSA’s Party-gate, IRS waste and bonus scandal, Solyndra etc. “green” government grants followed by “golden parachute for Dem donors” bankruptcy scandals, Charlie Rangel financial disclosure scandal, Maxine Waters banking ethics scandal, convicted criminal and Obama bundler Tony Rezko’s sweetheart real estate deal with Barack Obama, Fannie Mae Democrat CEO bonuses and campaign constributions scandals, billionaire Democrat bundler for Obama Jon Corzine’s perjury and financial hijinks scandal, Obama’s Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner tax evasion scandal, Jesse Jackson Jr.’s attempt to buy Obama’s vacated Senate seat, Oregon Congressman David Wu’s sexual assault of a teenager, David Paterson’s bullying of a domestic violence victim, Eric sexual harassment of a staffer, Obama’s National Security Advisor Tom Donilon leaking national security secrets.

Keep in mind this list could be a lot longer.

So, why is it that Chris Christie is responsible for everything his staffers do, while Democrats are hardly held accountable for their own bad behaviors?

2011 - 1994 Media bias - Sex scandals

This is nothing new either. Remember how Robert Byrd was once a poobah in the KKK? Remember how Ted Kennedy abandoned a woman to die at Chappaquiddick?  You don’t?  Hmmm … ask yourself why that is and how the MSM would’ve harped on these two stories endlessly if Kennedy or Byrd had been Republicans.

President Petty-Pants Strikes Again

  • Bill Elliott complained on FOX News about losing his health insurance thanks to Obamacare.
  • A health insurance broker named C. Steven Tucker helped Elliot figure out how to keep his insurance.
  • Elliot and Tucker are now BOTH facing IRS audits.
  1. The IRS is a part of the United State Department of the Treasury.
  2. Treasury is part of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government.
  3. The IRS is run by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue who reports to the Secretary of the Treasury.
  4. The Secretary of the Treasury reports to the President of the United States.

Would the IRS actually go after people just for criticizing Obama?

You betcha!

The ACA tax and the Origination Clause

Remember when SCOTUS ruled 5-4 that the IRS fine in ObamaCare was a tax, so therefore, it was constitutional? Roberts may not have been selling out, but instead going for a longer, surer end to the monstrous law.

As I understand it, the fine/tax challenge SCOTUS ruled on was somewhat limited; ruling against it wouldn’t have killed the whole law. But ruling it a tax could potentially kill the whole thing dead, Dead, DEAD … because the Constitution says revenue-raising bills (i.e., tax laws) must originate in the House of Representatives and the ACA “Obamacare” bill originated in the Senate.

Sissel v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services challenges ObamaCare on this basis. The lowest court found for Obama and it’s now before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

HR 3590 amendation was a sham

More than 40 members of the House have signed onto the lawsuit saying, “Given that an Origination Clause challenge against a taxing bill of this magnitude has never before been mounted, it is imperative that this Court not sanction the lower court’s superficial analysis of the Origination Clause.”

“Since the 2010 elections, the people’s immediate representatives have voted some 40 times to repeal or defund the ACA, but the senators, who sit for six years unchallenged, have never agreed. The Framers’ exact fear of taxation without adequate representation has materialized due to the complete disregard of the mandates of the Origination Clause by the U.S. Senate.”
