Dr. Kermit Gosnell made millions illegally killing babies who were past the point of viability. His favorite trick was to jab scissors into their tiny necks and cut their spinal cords. Gosnell reportedly slapped moaning patients to shut them up, allowed an untrained staffer to “snip” some of the babies, and instructed a 15-year old high school student to administer potent drugs.
On February 18, 2010, authorities raided Gosnell’s abortion facility, apparently not because of any concern for the safety of his patients.
The Pennsylvania Health Department routinely left it to abortionists to police their own practices. This clinic had been operating for thirty years. The health department had received numerous complaints, but had NEVER ONCE inspected the premises! If Gosnell had not gotten greedy and begun handing out prescriptions for Oxycontin and the like, he’d still be maiming and killing at his “health” clinic.
Fortunately, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Philadelphia Police Department actually give a crap about enforcing DRUG laws. But when they busted into Gosnell’s “women’s health care” clinic looking for evidence of drug trafficking, they found conditions so appalling as to beggar belief.
“There was blood on the floor. A stench of urine filled the air. A flea-infested cat was wandering through the facility, and there were cat feces on the stairs. Semi-conscious women scheduled for abortions were moaning in the waiting room or the recovery room, where they sat on dirty recliners covered with blood-stained blankets.”
The walls, furniture, chairs and hospital beds throughout the clinic were bloodstained and medical equipment was broken and corroded. Surgical tools were being used without cleaning them between patients and jars of baby body parts were being stored in the freezer and in jars that lined the hallways.
In the basement, investigators found bags of biohazardous waste piled up because Gosnell stopped paying the specialized trash handler licensed to dispose of materials that pose a threat to the health of living organisms. (E.g., Used syringes, gauze etc., anything contaminated by flesh, blood, vomit, urine and feces.)
Outside of LifeNews, local news outlets, and some sympathetic conservative and Christian media, we’re not seeing much about this trial. I can easily imagine the wall-to-wall coverage the MSM would be doing if the man on trial had assaulted Gosnell. It would be all “OMG These Horrible Racist Pro-Life Right Wingnuts!” But the trial of a black man who made millions assaulting mostly minority patients on a daily basis? Crickets.
Gosnell’s lawyer is claiming “prosecutorial lynching” – i.e., the charges are bogus simply because the doctor is black.
So were most of the babies (and women) he killed. So what’s your point?
