But left-wing activists decided this was an assault on their right to cheat in a swing state, so the county’s Dem district attorney started an official investigation. Multiple agents have since raided his home and his office. The warrants list of items to be seized: “All personal computers. Mobile communication devices, or digital devices owned, utilized and/or possessed” by the mayor, plus conduct personal searches of the mayor and his wife. They also searched the couple’s vehicles and took the wife’s phone. Even more outrageous, the warrants authorized seizure of all of Diny’s communications going back to April 1 — before he was even elected.

CHICOMS: When my brother lived in Beijing in 1985-1986, he said the government had menstrual monitors who kept track of every women’s cycle. If a woman who had no permit to conceive was late to menstruate, she got sent off for a suction abortion.

INDULGENCES: [9:49] – I just downloaded an English translation of Martin Luther’s “95 Theses.” At the time he did this, he was a faithful Catholic priest who was merely looking to get certain individuals to stop the sinful practice of selling indulgences.
Caveat: The Catholic Church does not now nor has it ever approved the sale of indulgences. This is to be distinguished from the undeniable fact that individual Catholics (perhaps the best known of them being the German Dominican Johann Tetzel [1465-1519]) did sell indulgences – but in doing so they acted contrary to explicit Church regulations. This practice is utterly opposed to the Catholic Church’s teaching on indulgences, and it cannot be regarded as a teaching or practice of the Church.
All of Luther’s 95 Theses deal with this one issue. A number of them also show great respect for the papacy, making it clear that Luther was not – at that time – splitting from or spitting on the Catholic Church. That only came later, after certain German princes decided he was a useful idiot (sorry, my words) that they could exploit for political gain.
I want to recommend reading them to you. Some of them sound exactly like the Christians who nowadays rightly condemn so-called Christians who “do not distribute them* freely but only gather them.” [Thesis #57]
*Them: Luther was referring to those who sold indulgences. I think we can easily see in that “them” the type of glitzy televangelists and mega church pastors who regularly call out to Christians to “give to Jesus and you will be blessed” … then spend the money on mansions and private jets, etc.

The latest is a 30-second ad entitled “Republicans Rubbing You the Wrong Way.” It allegedly shows (I refuse to watch it) a man who is happily masturbating to an X-rated clip on his phone being interrupted by a stern-faced Republican who snatches his phone.

The Political Action Fund plans to air this trash online and on television in seven swing states. FYI: Pornography is regulated at the state level. To date, the only legislation to restrict it has been directed at porn sites that refuse to ask if the viewer is over 18.

ABORTION: Harris supports passing federal legislation mandating abortion on demand for all states. She also opposes allowing religious exemptions. She says these positions are “non-negotiable.”
Trump supports keeping the right to abortion legislation at the state level where voters have more control over what happens in their communities.

ECONOMY: Harris says she intends to bring down the price of groceries by “dealing with price gouging.” N.b., there is no evidence that anyone in the food chain is price gouging; the issue certainly has nothing to do with the cost of food skyrocketing across the board.
On housing, she says she plans to create incentives for construction companies to build millions of new homes and housing units and to provide first-time homeowners a down payment of $25,000. She does not explain what those incentives would be or how she would pay for even more government giveaways. She also ignores the true drivers of our housing shortage, which are inflation, too many government regulations, and millions of new and illegal residents competing for existing housing.
On wages not keeping up with the cost of living, Harris says she favors a national minimum wage of at least $15 per hour. She does not address the historical fact that increases in minimum wage have always increased the cost of living for all, which severely harms the poorest and the disabled and elderly who live on fixed incomes. She also ignores the fact that where higher minimum wages have been installed, massive numbers of starter jobs have disappeared as businesses with slim profit margins were forced to close. She also does not seem to care that many of the people who need starter jobs are unable to find them because illegals are willing (or forced) to work for less under the table.

WHO IS WITH GOD: Last week, at a rally at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where Kamala Harris was pronouncing her 100% for abortion on demand, two Christian students shouted “Christ is King!” As they were escorted out of the rally, they were heckled, cursed at, and pushed by other attendees. When Harris she added her own mocking, “You’re at the wrong rally!”, her pro-abortion fans laughed and clapped.
On Sunday, at a rally in Wisconsin, an attendee shouted “Christ is King!” J.D. Vance responded, “That’s right. Jesus is King!”
Harris claims she will be a “unifying” president, a president for all Americans. That’s hard to figure, seeing as 70.6% of Americans identify as Christian and 35% believe abortion should be illegal in all or most cases.

WOKE: My art brain can’t stop overthinking this meme! The words appear to have been added by someone other than the artist who did the painting. I can’t help wondering what the artist was actually thinking about. The sun is shining in the bowl; the shadow it casts suggests the water in the bowl is nice and warm, while the water outside is cold and darker. Also, the fish in the bowl is well fed, while the one in the shadow is thin and has stripes; stripes on fish can be a sign of stress. Minus the text, I see a Christian metaphor where the fish who chose Christ is in the bowl and is trying to tell the outside fish that the glass bowl (i.e., God’s law) only appears to be a cage to outsiders. Once you’re on the inside, you learn that, like the stable where Jesus was born, the inside is bigger than the outside.
