You may be exempt from the ZeroCare Fine-Penalty-Tax

Last week, the Administration quietly excused millions of people from the requirement to purchase health insurance or else pay a tax penalty, WITHOUT bothering to TELL us.

  • This latest political reconstruction of “settled law” received zero media notice, and the Health and Human Services Department didn’t think the details were worth discussing in a conference call, press materials or fact sheet.
  • Instead, the mandate suspension was buried in an unrelated rule inside a seven-page technical bulletin. And it doesn’t even say what it means. It just refers you to some OTHER rule in some OTHER technical bulletin that was issued last December.

When HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testified yesterday in front of the House Ways and Means Committee, she was asked about the Wall Street Journal editorial “ObamaCare’s Secret Mandate Exemption” (March 12) that exposed the above. (Links below.)

  • Ms. Sebelius said she hadn’t read the editorial, but it was “not accurate”, except then she went on to explain that it was, in fact, accurate.
  • This is the number one person making all the rules and regulations about who can get what health care and how much it will cost.

Latest enrollment figures for ObamaDoesn’tCare

Obamacare exchange

February 2014: 943,000 new people enrolled in Obamacare.

  • 17.7% less than 1.146 million who enrolled in January.
  • 34.6% less than the 1.27 million HHS had predicted would enroll in February.

On March 11, 2014, HHS spokesperson told reporters, “We don’t think we had a decline.”

  • Why not?
  • “February’s obviously a short month.”
  • Which you … what? … did NOT know when you projected 1.27 million?

Total target is 6 million enrollments by March 31, 2014.

  • The official declined to give total enrollments to date.
  • Goldman Sachs thinks maybe 4 million.

The official also told reporters, “We think we’re in good shape.”

Hard to figure how they figure that, seeing as they’ve been running MAYBE a million a month, need probably 2 million more, and the deadline is at the end of this month.

But hey … these are the SAME PEOPLE who are using “enrollments” to try and convince us Zerocare is too working.

“Enrollments” counts every person who signed up, not which of these persons has had their applications accepted and/or paid even a single premium.

But yeah. Sure. You’re in “good shape.”

And there are people in Kenya who think Barack Obama is a great guy.

Shutdown Reality Check

Last October, Republicans wanted a continuing resolution that would fund everything but Obamacare and Democrats said, “Hell no! NOTHING is going to stop us from imposing Obamacare on the country. NOTHING.”

Rather than separating Obamacare out of the budget so we could have renewed debate, Obamacrats forced a government shutdown. Then they and their lapdog media blamed it on the stubborn, narrow-minded Republicans who wanted to fund everything right now, if we could just take a breath and TALK ABOUT Obamacare.

And then … just to make sure that the shutdown was as conspicuous and onerous as possible … Obama ordered the park service to shut everything … even scenic overlooks and open-air war memorials that are normally wide open 24-7.

Remember all that? Yeah, me too. Wanna take a stab at how much moolah the government saved by closing the parks? The answer is worse than nothing. The Interior Department just issued a report saying those 16 days of politically motivated b.s. COST taxpayers $414 million in lost revenue.

And for what? So Democrats wouldn’t have to TALK ABOUT Obamacare? Hmmm … let me think what’s happened on THAT front since October.

2014_02 28 Healthcare cancellations

On Sunday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) was guest host on ABC’s This Week. When asked whether she and the other Democrat leaders had been misled by Obama’s oft-repeated statement that Americans would be able to keep their plans in the individual insurance market, Gillibrand answered, “No, we all knew.” Then, she added that the point of Obamacare was “covering things people need, like preventive care, birth control, pregnancy.”

In other words, Democrats always intended Obamacare to be a tool for engineering society and redistributing wealth. And they consider those goals so important that they were fine with whatever they had to do to make it happen, including lying, lying, and … oh yeah … lying.

Obama illegally canceled a law and this guy is suing him for it

2014_02 27 Kawa suing Obama

Dr. Larry Kawa, an orthodontist from Boca Raton, Florida, spent $5,000 in legal fees last year to ensure that his business was in compliance with the law’s requirement that employers with 50 or more employees provide insurance to those employees after December 31, 2013.

Obama then pushed the deadline back by two years, a move which Kawa claims was politically motivated and, more importantly, illegal. However, Kawa says he doesn’t want the government to reimburse him. Instead, he wants the court to nullify Obama’s “government of one” executive orders.

Senator Reid is a big fat liar

Check out what the DEMOCRAT Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said from the floor of the United States Senate.

Reid: “It’s just stories! Lies!”

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. And the more than 5 million Americans who have had insurance policies they liked canceled? They’re all lying liars in a giant, right-wing conspiracy? Pull the other one, Harry.

Reid: “Ack! The Koch Brothers are trying to buy America!”

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Time Warner donated MORE TO DEMOCRATS than the KOCH BROTHERS donated to Republicans. And both of their donations were teensy weensy tater tots compared to the HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS that billionaires, big unions and corporations have shoveled into Democrat coffers.

Obamacrats are absolutely shameless. Five years ago, one of them pimped an equally evil lie from the floor of the House of Representatives.

Those of us who are not brain dead Obamacrats know that the Republican plans were about addressing specific problems in the health insurance market that drive costs up. E.g., States (like New York) that forbid residents to buy health insurance anywhere else.

In New York, Blue Cross has a monopoly; you know what happens when one business controls a commodity, right? It should tell you something about how UNaffordable health insurance has been in New York State that we are one of the few places where ObamaCare prices are similar or a little less.

Dearest couldn’t afford health insurance before ObamaCare; we STILL can’t afford it, but now the government is going to FINE us for not having it. Thanks, Democrats. That was a Big Help. NOT.

We’re supposed to believe the KOCH BROTHERS are behind ALL THIS when they can’t even engineer a majority in the Senate?! Bwahahahahahahaha! 

Update: Reid walked back on his statement. And by that I mean he shifted his lying feet about 1 centimeter, from all the horror stories are lies to the vast, vast majority of the ones the Koch Brothers finance are lies.

Puh-leeze. This is the same man who once swore that he had it on good authority that Mitt Romney had not paid his taxes in years. That was a big fat lie as well … not that the Democrat Media Machine cared.

Remember when our national leaders acted like ladies and gentlemen? Good times.

Now we have POTUS yukking it up on late night t.v., FLOTUS doing push-ups with Ellen and the VEEP going on The View to let unemployed women know how LUCKY THEY ARE.

When Walters asked Biden to comment on the CBO’s recent report estimating that Obamacare would result in the loss of at least two MILLION jobs, Slow Joe gushed, “[CBO report] is a great report…..it’s about freedom…”

Biden explains how fab it is to be UNEMPLOYED.

And FYI … the Republican health reform plans also wanted to free people whose employer health plan kept them tied to jobs they hated. But the Republican plans would’ve accomplished this goal without the top-heavy government take-over that is killing the economy.

ObamaCare’s Big Success Stories

I think we need to stop talking about how Obamacare is not working and look at how it is working. Obamacrats pushed it through; Obamcrats keep defending it. Clearly, as far as THEY are concerned, it is doing exactly what it was intended to do.

So what is that exactly?

OBAMACARE Govt power

  • Government money grab.
  • Government power grab.
  • Loss of individual privacy.
  • Loss of religious freedom.

And eugenics.

OBAMACARE Old people waiting to die

  • Obama is planning to stop providing the elderly with antidepressants, antipsychotics and the immunosuppressant drugs required by transplant patients.
  • Obama has already mandated via regulation the end-of-life counseling that was pointedly removed from the ACA law itself.

In other words, “Sorry but no, you can’t have the pills that helped you function any more. But hey, if you’re real depressed about that, here’s a pamphlet about our free euthanasia program.”

Michelle Obama: “Young people are knuckleheads”

“Well, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, young people can stay on their parents’ insurance until they are 26,” said the first lady of the United States. “But once they hit 26 — they’re on their own. And a lot young people think they’re invincible. But the truth is, young people are knuckleheads. They’re the ones who are cooking for the first time and slice their finger open, they’re dancing on the bar stool.”

Thought one: The majority of the knucklehead vote (18-29) went to Barack Obama in both 2008 and 2012.

Thought two: People don’t like being called names. This guy for instance.

Obamacrats don’t CARE what the majority want

2010: The House of Representatives and the Senate had Democrat majorities. Despite 50% of Americans saying, “We do NOT want this Obamacare law”, the Democrat supermajority passed it.

House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi pooh-poohed our objections saying we were too dumb to understand how great it was going to be.

2011 -2013: With the media’s pimping, some folks bought the Obamacrat line. But that didn’t last. As more and more elements of the law went into effect, opposition returned to 2010 levels, then rose higher.

2014: Even with the media still pimping and Obamacrats calling opponents all the usual bad names, the latest poll shows the total number of It’s not so bads is now CLOSE to the number of Really really hate its.
