Democrats Win!… Sort of

In the most expensive House race in history, the Democrats are claiming victory, even though they only lost the election by 7 points.  This puts them at 0-5 in the 2017 special elections races.

Hollywood Fail: Jon Ossoff Loses Georgia Congressional Election Despite Massive Celebrity Help
Milano previously said she wanted “to puke” after Ossoff’ failure to reach the 50 percent threshold required to avoid Tuesday’s runoff.

On Tuesday, the Who’s the Boss star launched a social media campaign encouraging people to tweet photos of themselves after hitting the polls.

Actresses Sarah Silverman and Debra Messing attacked Ossoff’s opponent, Karen Handel, on social media in the run-up to Tuesday’s election.

Despite the belief of numerous political experts that Ossoff would fall short in the Republican-dominated district that helped send Trump to the White House, the president had earlier declared Tuesday’s election to be a matchup between “Hollywood vs. Georgia.”

The Latest: Republican wins close victory in South Carolina

Republican Ralph Norman has won a victory that was closer than expected in a special election to fill the South Carolina congressional seat vacated by Mick Mulvaney.

The Republican won just more than 51 percent of votes cast Tuesday in the 5th District. That’s compared with about 48 percent for Democrat Archie Parnell.

The Devil Went Down to Georgia – UPDATE: Handel has won!

First I’d like to personally thank the 21 people who voted for us in the PCPs Paul Revere Award nominations that ended Saturday. Unfortunately, it has gained so much attention since its inception that the number of nominees has greatly increased. This year’s top vote getter with more than 1,000 votes was Last Refuge; that’s Sundance’s Conservative Treehouse. There’s no accounting for taste, I guess.

I spent a wonderful morning yesterday fishing a local lake with RJ and my best fishing buddy of more than 20 years. We did well and brought a dozen big bluegills to the dock. My friend has a freezer full of fish, as do I. There was an old man sitting on the bank who only had one, so we gave them to him. Made his day. Spending time on the water with my friend and my grandson made mine.

This is judgement day. The most expensive congressional race, with more than $50 million poured into it, will come to an end. Carpetbagging Jon Ossoff is trying to buy the seat in GA-6 that has been republican for more than 40 years. The democrats are desperately seeking some sort of win since the drubbing they took last year. The polls show the contest being very close. If this is what a House seat costs, they’ll need about 10 trillion to get a majority next year.

Why all eyes are on Georgia’s Special Election

High Stakes Special Election In Georgia House Race Between Jon Osoff And Karen Handel

FROM THE WASHINGTON COMPOST:
Trump’s agenda on the line in a hard-fought Georgia House race
One low point came in the final days of the race, with a super PAC attack ad that showed footage of a bloodied House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) being taken off a baseball field on a stretcher after last Wednesday’s shooting in suburban Washington. As the sound of gunshots echoes, a narrator says: “The unhinged left is endorsing and applauding shooting Republicans. When will it stop? It won’t if Jon Ossoff wins on Tuesday.”
Both candidates have denounced the ad.

Ga. Dem. Has Nine Times More Donations from California than His Home State
The fundraising totals underscore Trump’s “Hollywood vs. Georgia” characterization. In total, Ossoff’s campaign raised $15 million between March 29 and May 31, for a fundraising total of $23 million, making this the most expensive House race in American history.

Ossoff Bans Conservative Media Outlet From Campaign Event

Democrat Jon Ossoff’s campaign banned a conservative media outlet, the Washington Free Beacon, from a campaign event the night before Ossoff is set to face off against Republican Karen Handel in Georgia’s congressional Sixth District special election.
Scher told TheDC that the campaign event was filled with reporters from other news organizations. The Free Beacon, it seems, was singled out for special treatment.
The campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.

Jon Ossoff: Voters Don’t Care That I Don’t Live In The District

Jon Ossoff, the Democratic candidate in the GA-06 special congressional election, is still struggling to properly explain why he doesn’t currently live in the district.
MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle asked Ossoff why he doesn’t just move to the district if it could potentially help him win.
“It’s very easy to solve where you live,” Ruhle said. “While people respect you across the board, your desire to support your fiancee…with every point counting, why not just move?”
“Well, Steph, voters just aren’t asking me this question,” Ossoff replied. “Voters are asking me what I’m going to do to improve our local economy.”

The Left’s Blame Game

When Democrat Gabby Gifford got shot, the Left blamed it on Republicans. Now that Republican Steve Scalise has been shot, the Left is blaming it on … Republicans.

DEMOCRATS It's always someone else's fault

From Newsbusters:

Thursday evening, CBS’s Scott Pelley, who officially ended his tenure as the network’s Evening News anchor the following evening, told viewers that “It’s time to ask whether the attack on the United States Congress Wednesday was foreseeable, predictable and, to some degree, self-inflicted.”

It’s clear from Pelley’s subsequent commentary that his answers to all three elements are “Yes.” It’s equally clear from the examples he supplied as support that he sees (or wants viewers to see) the problem as predominantly about the conduct of those on the right.

Premeditated

In 2008, Candidate Obama told his supporters, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” It looks like James T. Hodgkinson took him seriously.

Names on the list included members of the House Freedom Caucus, which contains the lower chamber’s most conservative members.

The Path We’re On

The difference between humans and wild animals is the capacity for reasoned thought. Apparently the left has largely lost that ability. The dichotomy between political parties today could not be more stark. I work with a piece of human sludge, a high school dropout. He’s rude, loud, pushy, and cannot finish a sentence without dropping the “F” bomb at least once. He makes sure everyone knows what he’s thinking and doesn’t want to hear what anyone else thinks. Fittingly he came in today and was not unhappy with yesterday’s attempted assassination. “F*** the republicans!”

This is the enemy we face. It is no longer possible to have a differing opinion from these domestic terrorists without personal risk. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that those of us who are the constant victims of the socialist assaults from all quarters will one day rise up and say “enough is enough.” There are 66 million people who voted for Trump who watch what transpires every day and are willing to fight back. Until then the wild animals will seek out the weak to prey on, egged on by a complicit media who profit from the Soros-funded chaos.

Wash Times: First Shots Of Second American Civil War Have Been Fired

Since the election of 2016, the left has gone crazy. Their version of the Tea Party is called “Resistance” and the spearhead of that is a loosely formed terrorist group called “Antifa.” Antifa is short for Anti-Fascist. The irony of their name is not lost on those who actually know history, as their tactics are straight from the fascist playbook.

In the last few months, these groups have repeatedly disrupted peaceful pro-Trump rallies. They have called for and used violence against people who support the president, disagree with them and even against members of the media who will report things Antifa doesn’t want reported.

BERNIE SANDERS CONDEMNED YESTERDAYS SHOOTING BY ONE OF HIS ACOLYTES. HE THINKS WE HAVE FORGOTTEN THIS.

Sanders Fundraised in 2011 by Falsely Blaming Sarah Palin for Tucson Shooting

“Congresswoman Giffords publicly expressed concerns when Sarah Palin, on her website, placed her district in the cross-hairs of a rifle—and identified her by name below the image—as an encouragement to Palin supporters to eliminate her from Congress,” the Vermont senator wrote.

Sanders was hardly alone in blaming Palin at the time; the New York Times, the Atlantic, the New York Daily News, and Gawker all pointed to the map with the crosshairs.

Unhinged Rhetoric About ‘Nazis’ and Trump Derangement Syndrome Lead to Bloodshed

Well, it finally happened. We’ve been saying for months now that the breathless false narrative created by the media about Trump supporters was going to lead unstable people to do bad things. We’ve seen it in Berkeley, where masked Antifa thugs attacked “Nazis” (or anyone in a Trump hat). Then there was Kathy Griffin’s disgusting mock beheading of President Trump, where she put the Left’s violent fantasies on display, followed up very shortly with Shakespeare in the Park featuring the stabbing assassination of Donald Trump to wild applause and standing ovations. These people are sick in the head.

NYT Uses GOP Shooting To Falsely Attack Sarah Palin With Debunked Conspiracy Theory

“In 2011, when Jared Lee Loughner opened fire in a supermarket parking lot, grievously wounding Representative Gabby Giffords and killing six people, including a 9-year-old girl, the link to political incitement was clear.”

They added later: “Though there’s no sign of incitement as direct as in the Giffords attack, liberals should of course hold themselves to the same standard of decency that they ask of the right.”

Republican receives threat after shooting, warning “one down, 216 to go…”

The lawmaker, Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-New York, received an email with the subject line: “One down, 216 to go…,” according to a screenshot of the email provided by Tenney’s office.

The body of the email read: “Do you NOT expect this? When you take away ordinary peoples very lives in order to pay off the wealthiest among us, your own lives are forfeit. Certainly, your souls and morality were lost long before. Good riddance.” A threat was sent to Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-New York on June 14, 2017 after the shooting in Alexandria.

On Tenney’s official Facebook page, someone recently also posted a threatening comment aimed at her son, an active duty U.S. Marine currently deployed to the Middle East. The Memorial Day post said, “Waiting on your son to come back bagged,” according to a screenshot provided by Tenney’s office.

So Much for Civility: Matthews Smears Trump and ‘Weaselly’ Cabinet After Shooting

“Good evening. I’m Chris Matthews in Washington. Donald Trump and his ties with Moscow remain the big story here even on a day struck by violence,” he announced as he started his show.

Matthews was quite giddy as he read from a Washington Post article that claimed an anonymous source told them that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was now investigating Trump for obstruction of Justice. He then demonstrated how amazingly tone deaf he was by callously declaring that Mueller had Trump “in the crosshairs.”

A few minutes later, Mathews went on a diatribe about how much the President was used to controlling everything in his life, including poking at Trump’s marriage:

MATTHEWS: And they’re not weasels, these guys. These are men—particularly they are men in this case who have proud careers behind them, and they’d like to have proud legacies. They’re not like the weaselly people running around that table with him in that cabinet room the other day.

HuffPo Pulls Article Calling For ‘Ultimate Punishment’ Of Trump

Fuller’s piece contained rhetoric and imagery that seems tasteless, particularly after Wednesday’s events. Fuller boldly declares in the title that “Trump must be prosecuted — if convicted in a court of law — executed.” Fuller doesn’t stop there, however, as he insists that “impeachment isn’t enough” to “drain the swamp,” and to do so means doling out the “ultimate punishment [execution]” in order to fully restore the moral compass of the U.S.

Another Left-Winger Commits Politically Motivated Shooting

Early this morning, James T. Hodgkinson asked Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., if the guys practicing for the annual Congressional Baseball Game were Republicans or Democrats. DeSantis said they were Republicans.

About 3 minutes later, at around 7:15 a.m., Hodgkinson opened fire on the ball players, injuring five before House Majority Whip Steve Scalise’s security detail took him out.

Scalise is reported to be out of surgery and in stable condition. I haven’t heard about the others. But Hodgkinson, 66, has died from the ventilating the armed guards gave him.

Hodgkinson’s social media accounts show him to have been an enthusiastic fan of Bernie Sanders’ campaign and a vitriolic hater of Donald Trump.

2016_04 17 Hodgkinson pro-Sanders tweet

2017_06 12 Hodgkinson anti-Trump tweet

I’m not going to hold my breath waiting on any Democrats or their Left Stream Media apologists to ponder how much their non-stop hatred of Republicans in general and Donald Trump in particular contributed to this man’s decision to fire on unarmed ball players.

I do, however, want to point out that just this past week-end, a theater group in NYC put on a production of Julius Caesar in which Caesar, who is assassinated, is depicted as being President Trump. And some years ago, some Leftist jerks made a movie in which George W. Bush was assassinated.

They call that crap “art.”  But back when Barack Obama was in office, a rodeo clown was berated nationally and lost his job for making FUN of the thin-skinned Democratic president.

All y’all probably remember after the Gifford shooting when the Left was all over Sarah Palin for “inciting violence” because she had opposed Gifford’s re-election.

THAT got a lot of media coverage, as did the usual, endless stream of demands for more gun control laws.

What you may not remember from all the media outcry is that Gabby Gifford was an enthusiastic gun owner whose shooter turned out to have been a Left-winger who had volunteered on her campaign.

Another thing you probably never heard about is that, a few months ago in my home town, a Leftist shot and killed a UPS driver who he said he thought was Donald Trump. Can you imagine the national coverage if he had shot a woman and said it was because he thought she was Hillary Clinton.

But Trump? Meh. ::mediacrickets::

I think there are two not-very-original lessons we can take away from this:

  • One, the Left never learns anything from their numerous failed attempts to blame Right-wingers for political violence.
  • Two, the Left never EVER takes responsibility for the injuries and death that result from their own hate-filled calls to violence.

Obamacare Why force Catholics

President Trump plans a road trip to battleground states to sell his plans to replace Obamacare and promote infrastructure.

Trump OK with DOJ releasing Mueller report without White House seeing it, Lindsey Graham says

To pass Obamacare repeal, the bill needs support from 50 of the 52 Republicans in the Senate. Two pro-abortion Republicans — Murkowski and Collins — are pushing to keep taxpayer funding of abortion giant Planned Parenthood. But Senate Republican Whip John Cornyn said: “We have a strong pro-life majority in the Senate, and so it’s going to be in there.”

These Pro-Abortion Republicans May Prevent Defunding Planned Parenthood

Republican Senators are planning on keeping the details of their Obamacare replacement bill secret until they get 50 votes needed for passage. Two senate aides told reporters that the bill’s text was nearly complete. The Senate GOP wants to advance a bill before the Fourth of July recess.

You Ain’t in New York Anymore

The day before Montana’s runoff election to replace Ryan Zinke in the House, a lowlife Obama operative got into a scuffle with Greg Gianforte after he barged into the Republican’s office during a private interview, shoved a microphone in his face and started shouting questions at him. Gianforte then allegedly body slammed the creep.

The media whores rushed to Bozeman, expecting the populace to be shocked and appalled at such barbaric behavior, even though they’d watched far worse happen to anyone who showed up at a rally to support candidate Trump. Lo and behold, the prevailing opinion was one of approval of his actions, with most saying they’d do the same thing.

Seventy percent of the electorate had already voted early in the election Gianforte won, so whether the incident could have have been a game changer is a matter of conjecture. Montana is a massive state with more cattle than people and there are no large urban toilets infested with welfare leeches and violent crime.

One of our dear friends here, Auntie Lib lives in Montana and if her views are indicative of the general mood, social justice warriors would end up shoveling manure on a big ranch. Still, the Democrats never pass up a chance to make asses of themselves. It’s a pattern.

Montana: Rock’em Sock’em Republican KO’s Nudist Resort Singing Cowboy Democrat (#MTAT)

Rock’em Sock’em Republican candidate Greg Gianforte, best known for “body-slamming” and ego-shaming a reporter for The Guardian, defeated Democratic Candidate Rob Quist, best known as a nudist resort socialist Cowboy poet and singer.

This is another *win* for Democrats because they showed up and did better than they expected, even though they lost. Losing by less than you thought you’d lose is the new Democrat definition of #winning.

There are many lessons here. The biggest one is that the mainstream media remains disconnected from most of the country.

Montana: Even With the Game Rigged, the Left Can’t Win

The Obama DNC threw a ton of money into winning special elections. Special elections tend to have low turnout. And throwing a ton of money into low turnout elections backed by highly motivated leftists seemed like a good plan.

Except it has yet to work. It’s rattled Republicans. And Dems have patted themselves on the back for making Congressional races closer than they should have been. But it’s not enough. So far all they have to show for it are wins in some some local races.

http://www.frontpagemag.com/point/266818/montana-even-game-rigged-left-cant-win-daniel-greenfield

ON THE NEWS REPORTS THIS MORNING, THE DEMS BROKE OUT A NEW SET OF TALKING POINTS:

  • The Republicans could refuse to seat Gianforte and force him to resign.
    • Ryan says it won’t happen.
  • Gianforte may spend 30 days in jail on a misdemeanor assault charge.
  • Gianforte won the all-state district by less than Trump won the state, so liberals are making progress competing in red states once again.

Gianforte released a statement about the incident, alleging that Jacobs was aggressive. But after he won, he apologized for his actions.

“When you make a mistake, you have to own up to it,” Gianforte said during his victory party. “That’s the Montana way. Last night I made a mistake and I took an action that I can’t take back and I’m not proud of what happened. I should not have responded in the way that I did and for that I am sorry. I should not have treated that reporter that way and for that I am sorry Mr. Ben Jacobs.”

NYT Reporter Caught Passing Off Local Reporter’s Photo As His Scoop

Whitney Bermes with the Bozeman Daily Chronicle in Montana posted a photo of the citation Republican congressional candidate Greg Gianforte received after reportedly throwing a reporter to the ground.

Less than hour after Bermes shared the photo on Twitter, New York Times reporter Jonathan Martin tweeted the exact same picture with a caption claiming, “I’ve obtained a copy of the Gallatin Co summons for Gianforte’s assault charge.”

Yeah, right.  I guess at the New York Slime, copy/pasting another reporter’s work now counts as journalism

DCCC Mobilization Chair Completely Unaware of Montana Special Election

Last week, Congressman Jim Clyburn, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s national mobilization chair in 2016, was asked if the DCCC planned to get more involved in the upcoming Montana special congressional election to replace new Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.

Clyburn gave a nine-word response:  “Montana special election? Oh, I didn’t know about that.”

Liberals React to Dem Loss in Montana

Liberals on social media reacted to the news that Gianforte won despite being charged with assault.

  • A man body slams a reporter 4 asking a question. He gets 100k in donations and wins a congressional seat the next day. Have we come 2 this?
  • This pretty much sums up the Greg Gianforte election and the Trump 2016 election. It was never about the economy. It’s about bigotry.

Wrestlemania MMXVII

Last night provided once again, if needed, that there is no depth the left will not stoop to in their effort to steal elections. Trump supporters still face the risk of assault from paid thugs for no apparent reason. These are no cause for concern as far as the media whores care. This case, however, will be shouted from the rooftops:

REPUBLICANS ENDORSE VIOLENCE! THUGGISH BEHAVIOR A SYMPTOM OF THE ALT-RIGHT!!

FROM POWERLINE:
GOP Montana congressional candidate accused of body-slamming reporter

Greg Gianforte is the Republican candidate in the Montana congressional district (an at-large one) formerly represented by Ryan Zinke, now the Secretary of Interior. The Democrats are running country music singer Rob Quist.

The Democrats have been cautiously optimistic about winning this race, though they face an uphill battle in a district (coextensive with a state) Donald Trump carried by about 20 percentage points. For their part, Republicans have viewed the race as closer than it should be.

The Dems are probably more optimistic now that Gianforte has been accused of body-slamming a reporter. The reporter is Ben Jacobs of the Guardian, a left-leaning paper. This evening, he tweeted: “Greg Gianforte just body slammed me and broke my glasses.”

NOTE: BEN JACOBS IS A FORMER OBAMA OPERATIVE AND DIRTY TRICKS SPECIALIST.

I imagine that many Montanans will have little sympathy for Jacobs, who comes across as an overly aggressive twit who may have wanted to goad the GOP candidate and become part of the story for the benefit of the Democrats (presumably in less dramatic fashion, though). Whether they will find Gianforte’s response to Jacobs appropriate behavior for a congressman is another matter.

Montanans will have to sort it out quickly. The election is tomorrow.

I just remembered that in the Alaska Senate race of 2010, a supporter of Joe Miller, the Tea Party candidate and Republican nominee, had a reporter handcuffed and detained after he asked Miller an unpleasant question. There were a number of fairly small problems and incidents that, collectively, derailed Miller and enabled Lisa Murkowski, whom he had defeated in the Republican primary, to win the general election as an independent. The “arrest” of the journalist may have been one of them

Clutching at Straws

The democrats and the media (IBID) have been trying to put forth the illusion of a united front despite deep divisions between the DC elite and the outspoken and violent class of ‘progressives’ that follow full-blown socialists like the Berniecrats.

There have been a number of special elections since the coup d’etat administered by one Donald J. Trump.  They poured tens of millions of dollars into trying to show they’re still relevant.  Up until now they’ve come up empty and heartbroken.

They finally managed to flip 2 seats in statewide races and now feel like they’re on a roll. Nothing can stop them now. The future is theirs. The House will be back in their clutches after the midterms. How glorious it will be when San Fran Nan gets that big-ass gavel back so she and her homies can stop Trump’s efforts to strengthen America and put people back to work.

NY Democrat Christine Pellegrino defeated Republican Thomas Gargiulo in a special election in a Long Island, New York, State Assembly district that Trump won by 23 percent.  Pellegrino served as a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention last year.

NH Democrat Edith DesMarais won a special election for a seat in New Hampshire’s GOP-controlled House of Representatives.  Trump won that district by 7 points.

REPUBLICANS GIVE UP THEIR SEATS WHEN THEY MOVE ON TO OTHER POSITIONS. DEMOCRATS GIVE UP THEIR SEATS ONLY AFTER THEY’RE CONVICTED OF FELONIES. THEY’RE SCARCELY QUALIFIED TO DO ANYTHING ELSE.

The Democrats Think They’ll Ride a Wave in 2018

RUSH: Here’s the headline: “Is a Wave Election Forming for Democrats? — Democrats are increasingly bullish about the prospect of a wave election in 2018 amid backlash against the House Republicans for repealing Obamacare.” And, of course, all the mess with Trump. Now, it’s true to say, is it not, that practically every election the Democrats think that they’re gonna win it in a landslide?

The stakes will be even higher in two upcoming special elections for the U.S. House of Representatives. Democrat Rob Quist is hoping for an upset win over Republican Greg Gianforte in a race for Montana’s sole house seat later this week, while in Georgia, Republican Karen Handel aims to keep her district red in a race against Democrat Jon Ossoff next month.

Republicans Becoming More Worried About Montana Congressional Race
THIS CLOWN IS A REAL PIECE OF WORK. PLAYS GUITAR AT A NUDIST CAMP, FALSELY CLAIMS TO BE A VETERAN. SOROS DOUBTLESSLY DUMPING MILLIONS IN HIS COFFERS.

But some are questioning whether Trump’s decreasing popularity amid the ongoing investigation into links between his campaign and Russian officials could affect the election.

In a recent story about Gianforte’s campaign strategy, the New York Times wrote, “And voting day, which is May 25, will be watched nationally for any signs that Mr. Trump, his tactics, or his style of politics are wearing thin with voters who overwhelmingly supported him in November.”

Questions Continue to Swell: No Record That Rob Quist Registered for Selective Service Says National Archives

The Montana Democrat turned 18 during Vietnam War, opposed it as a college student.

It is unlikely that Quist would have been able to acquire a medical deferment as he played basketball at the University of Montana. He would have been eligible for a student deferment as a college student, though he dropped out after starting a band.

Quist’s Republican opponent Greg Gianforte registered with the Selective Service System in 1980, according to records viewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

Dem IT aides suspected of major security breach escape to Pakistan

Democrat IT specialists are accused of stealing equipment from members’ offices without their knowledge and committing serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network.

Many of the Democrats who employed the Awans are members of the House Committee on Homeland Security, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

They had access to members’ emails and confidential files. In addition, one was given the password for an iPad used by then-Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Florida Democrat.

The five came to the U.S. from Pakistan and have fled there to avoid prosecution.

[CtH; I have often wondered that too.  Wikipedia says Steny is a variant of his Danish father’s name, “Steen.”  A baby name site says Steen is a Nordic first name.]
