Obama’s DoD informed military “no death benefits” by TWITTER

These people really have NO SHAME.

This video should be on your Must View ASAP list. Please set aside 16 minutes to listen. No need to watch. It’s just a talking head. But do listen. And if you can, get your favorite Obama Apologist to listen too.

Majority Leader Harry Reid Objects to Funding the VA. Again. [16:10]

Republican Senator Cruz: Veterans are an American issue, not a partisan issue. Refusing death benefits is an abomination. Eight bills have come from the House to fund parts of the government. The Democrats have not allowed any of them to come to the floor.

Democrat Senator Reid: Blah blah blah

REID SHORT TRANSLATION: No, I will not allow the Senate to vote on funding death benefits.

LONG TRANSLATION: I’m in charge of the Senate and I’m Obama’s lapdog. So no, we are NOT voting on any “piecemeal” funding of anything, because we want everybody to HURT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE so we can get Obamacare funded without any negotiation whatsoever and never mind that half of all Americans hate it and that Obama Democrats are the ONLY people refusing to fund the Veterans Administration or open the parks or allow chaplains to VOLUNTEER their services on military bases because DEMOCRATS CARE. You can be sure of this because we keep telling you. Also, (with respect to my dear friend and colleague Senator Cruz) REPUBLICANS SUCK.

Democrat Lackeys: We don’t need to vote on your stupid Republican piecemeal bills, because we are happy to vote on complete (with Obamacare) funding.

Republican Senator Cruz: Veterans should not be held hostage by partisan political issues like whether or not we fund Obamacare. Democrats are holding veterans hostage by refusing to even vote on veteran funding and demanding all or nothing funding.

Democrats: Stop holding America hostage

2013_10 02 Govt shut down photo

WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) released the following statement on the Senate’s refusal to take up House-passed continuing resolutions:

“This morning, disability payments for wounded veterans would be fully funded if not for Harry Reid.

“This morning, our National Guard and reservists would be fully funded if not for Harry Reid.

“This morning, our national parks and war memorials would be open and fully funded if not for Harry Reid.

“This morning, the National Institutes of Health would be fully funded if not for Harry Reid.

“Harry Reid and President Obama should stop playing partisan games; they believe that the shutdown benefits them politically, and so they are cynically trying to make it as painful as possible for the American people.

“None of these limited CRs implicates or even mentions Obamacare; Harry Reid and President Obama shouldn’t be holding veterans hostage simply to force Obamacare on the American people.

“The House of Representatives has passed bipartisan funding for all these government functions; Senate Republicans are united in support of these vital funding bills. It is only because Harry Reid and Senate Democrats continue to object that these are not today on the President’s desk.”

Right Wing Obamacare Myths DEBUNKED – Satire by The Matt Walsh Blog – September 25, 2013

http://themattwalshblog.com/2013/09/25/right-wing-obamacare-myths-debunked/

Man, I hate these stupid, crazy, tea bagging right wingers. So foolish, so uncivilized. They run around screaming like crazed anarchists about how they want to stop Obamacare. Damned idiots don’t realize that the government needs to be involved in our health care decisions; we’re too helpless and feeble to handle it ourselves — unless we’re making the “medical” choice to get an abortion, in which case, THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, YOU GOVERNMENT PIGS. GET OUT! I mean, leave your wallet on the table, ’cause I’m gonna need you to pay for this, but then GET OUT, JERK.

Foden20130927-Xchangesr20130926020241

There are many scare tactics being used by the tea baggers in an effort to discredit Obamacare. Personally, I hate scare tactics. You should never let anyone scare you away from supporting socialized medicine, mostly because without it every poor person in the country will get sick and die. Anyway, like I said, I disapprove of scare tactics.

They claim that Obamacare will raise taxes, but this has been PROVEN false so many times. You know it’s been proven because I capitalized “proven.” Sure, there might be a few minor billion dollar taxes, like the individual mandate tax and the employer mandate tax, the Excise Tax on Comprehensive Health Insurance Plans, the Tax on Health Insurers, the Tax on Innovator Drug Companies, the High Medical Bills Tax, the Medicine Cabinet Tax, the Tax on Indoor Tanning Services, and the Excise Tax on Charitable Hospitals. And, yeah, there might be a small number of multi-billion dollar tax hikes on things like the Medicare Payroll tax and the “black liquor” tax and the HSA Withdrawal tax. And, OK fine, we’ll even see some tax deduction eliminations, like the deduction for employer-provided retirement prescription drug coverage.

But besides, like, 20 new taxes and tax hikes totaling, like, hundreds of billions of dollars, there aren’t ANY tax increases attached to Obamacare. None. NONE. See? I did the capital letter thing again. Pretty convincing stuff.

Obamacare - Estimated job loss

The redneck Tea Party crazies have even gone so far as to completely LIE about the impact Obamacare will have on the workforce. They insist that businesses are actually being forced to cut hours and lay off employees just to comply with the “burdensome” Obamacare rules and regulations. Again, this is a fabrication. Businesses aren’t cutting hours. Besides Walmart, Regal Entertainment, Trader Joe’s, Subway, Firehouse Subs, Sea World, Lands End, Dave and Busters, White Castle, Burger King, Taco Bell, and Home Depot, and academic institutions like Philadelphia University, Sam Houston State University, Ball State University, Georgia Military College, Three Rivers College, Hillsborough Community College, and University of North Alabama, and county governments in Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Michigan, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as school districts like Middletown Township Public Schools in New Jersey, Millard School District in Utah, and Shelbyville Central School System in Indiana, along with over 280 other businesses, universities, school systems and town governments, literally NOBODY is losing work because of Obamacare.

The radical, anti-governmentFascistAnarchistNaziBible-thumpingPuritanOtherRandomConflictingDescriptors right wing conservatives like to drone on and on about “small businesses”. Well, news flash: Small businesses CAN’T WAIT for Obamacare to take hold. Half of them aren’t even planning on significantly cutting their workforce to comply with it, while the other half are super excited to cut their employees’ hours, because, like Nancy Pelosi said, it’ll free up time for all of these people to take up new hobbies and “follow their passions.” Sure, because of Obamacare they won’t have enough money to feed their families, but at least they’ll have plenty of time to work on arts and crafts projects.

Obamacare love hate

Obamacare is just so wonderful. It could have only come from the mind of a brilliant man like President Obama. Think about it: We had a problem in this nation because so many people couldn’t afford health insurance. So what’s Obama’s plan? Simply charge those folks money for not having enough money! Brilliant! Oh, but his master strategy doesn’t stop there. It used to be expensive to buy insurance on the individual-market — now it will be TWICE as expensive for men, and only almost twice as expensive for women!

Do you see how this works?

  • Problem: Insurance is expensive.
  • Solution: Make it more expensive, and then tax people for not buying it.

There are a few other objections to Obamacare that I often hear raised by moronic neanderthals, such as the 200 economists who lobbied Congress to repeal the law. Let these so-called “economists” pretend they know something about the economy. I’ll take Harry Reid’s word over theirs any day of the week. Some say that this massive tax and spending program can’t possibly be sustained by a nation that’s already over 16 trillion dollars in debt. That’s where they’re wrong.

Little known fact: The economy works sort of like the card game Hearts. In Hearts, you’re supposed to avoid getting points. But if things go really poorly and you somehow collect ALL 26 points in a hand, you get zero and everyone else gets 26 — it’s called “Shooting the Moon.” It works the same way with the national debt. If a country can rack up 26 trillion dollars in debt, they go back down to zero and everyone else owes THEM 26 trillion. FACT. Look it up. It’s in, like, the UN Handbook or something. The good news is that Obamacare will get us to 26 trillion much quicker than you might think. Thank God!

Finally, you often hear the myth that the US Constitution doesn’t grant the government the authority to force citizens to buy a product. They even say the government doesn’t have the legal power to seize total control of an entire sector of the free market economy. Luckily, I don’t have to engage this argument because the Supreme Court already ruled. If the Supreme Court says it’s in there — it’s in there. Period. If the Supreme Court says dragons exist and Big Foot is real, then dragons exist and Big Foot is real. End of discussion. The Supreme Court is never wrong, just ask Dredd Scott.

Obamacare Exemptions

Despite all of the FACTS I just laid out, these maniacs still find a reason to oppose Obamacare. They’d even risk a short-term, temporary shutdown of government just to make their point. SHUTDOWN THE GOVERNMENT?! BUT HOW WOULD WE EAT OR BREATHE?! This is a warning to Ted Cruz and all his ilk: If the government stops operating for even one day — chaos and cannibalism will reign in the streets. Mark my words. Yeah, a government shutdown would only impact “non-essential” federal government functions. And, yeah, some might even argue that the government should only be doing the essential things in the first place. But that will be of little solace when you’re bleeding on the ground, being eaten alive by the starving masses. I can scarcely imagine the horror. If non-essential government agencies and departments are forced to close for a short period of time, that means we’ll have to find a way to go without the Administration on Aging, and the Japan-United States Friendship Commission, and the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. WHERE WILL I GET MY TRANSPORTATION STATISTICS?! You’re playing with fire, conservatives. Civilization is bound together by the strong, steady hand of bureaucracy. If you loosen its grasp, you risk plunging us all into a dark, perilous land of individual responsibility and liberty. Our Founders fought and died to rescue us from such a fate, and I’ll be damned if I sit here and let you undo their efforts.

Courage

COURAGE

Herman Cain says there are important, concrete reasons why Ted Cruz’s fight matters very much.

1. The people’s voice.

People say the right things in order to get elected, but once they get there, some old Washington hand takes them aside and tells them to listen to the lords of Washington instead of to their constituents. The old guard in Washington has gotten so bad, most of the time We the People feel like we have nobody representing us. Ted Cruz is speaking on behalf of the American people. That matters. A lot.

2. Awareness.

The mainstream media simply ignores the worst aspects of ObamaCare, or makes fun of those who are pointing them out. For example, Obama and members of the House and Senate have exempted themselves and their staffs from Obamacare and voted to have taxpayers pay the lion’s share of the premiums on the gold-plated health plans nobody else can get.

3. Unexpected results.

House Republicans are now considering attaching a one-year delay of the individual mandate to the Senate bill and Sen. David Vitter is proposing an amendment to end the special health plans deal Obama and Congress gave themselves. Without Sen. Cruz fighting as he is, these things would not be happening.

One person standing in the gap can make all the difference.

Yet another reason why I never click on HuffPo

And why I stopped using my AOL email account. AOL bought HuffPo in February 2011 and began pushing it as their Go To News site.

Googling “AOL buys HuffPo” got me these two statements:

  • AOL said, “AOL is buying Huffington Post, the news and culture website, in a deal that catapults AOL into a new stratosphere of a genuine media company.”
  • The Wall Street Journals said, “AOL Buys Huffington Post: Is It Crazy?”

So about that claim that Huffington Post is a “news” website …

HuffPo filibuster coverage

June 2013: The Filibuster Heard ‘Round the World

Texas State Senator Wendy Davis became a national darling of the left when she filibustered against a Texas State law that would halt the dismemberment and poisoning of pain-capable fetuses (i.e., post 20 weeks gestation).

HuffPo was among the many “news” media that declared Davis a hero … despite the fact that her filibuster accomplished nothing more than to catapult her and her pink running shoes into the national limelight. After she shut up, the law passed.

Sept 2013: Cruz Hijacks Senate ‘Til I’m Unable to Stand’

Texas Senator Ted Cruz was ridiculed and dismissed by the left when he filibustered in favor of the House bill to fund everything in the federal government, except Obamacare. They sneeringly called it just a “long speech” and a “fauxlibuster” because his time on the floor wouldn’t delay any votes.

They neglected to mention that Democrat Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid was contemptuously refusing to even permit a vote on the House bill. The only vote Reid wants to come to the floor is to vote to fund EVERYTHING or NOTHING.

The House bill approved funding for everything EXCEPT Obamacare.

Defund Obamacare!

IF the government gets shut down over this, it will be because OBAMA and REID force it. The majority in the House voted to fund all government activities EXCEPT OBAMACARE. The Senate was NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE because DEMOCRAT MAJORITY LEADER SENATOR HARRY REID would not PERMIT IT. When Obama says Republicans want to shut down government, he’s LYING.

Just to get this into perspective

Ted Cruz on Obamacare paperwork burden

Meeting the demands of Obamacare will ADD 190 million man hours worth of PAPERWORK every YEAR.

To get 190 million hours into perspective, consider the following:

  • Total time to build the Empire State Building: 7 million man hours.
  • Average productive time one person can work in a year: 2000 man hours.*
  • Average time to build a small, 1,000 square foot house: 500 man hours.
  • Average time to build a new car: 32 man hours.

*Actual man year hours world-wide range from a low of 1,389 hours (in the Netherlands) to a high of 2,316 hours (in South Korea).

Paperwork is a NON-productive labor cost that must be passed on to consumers or, in the case of Obamacare, passed on to taxpayers.

To understand this, consider a small medical office where, typically, the only income is generated by the doctor seeing patients.

  • This one doctor must earn enough from these visits to pay for his own salary, plus rent, utilities, insurance and a minimum of two extra office staff (a nurse and a secretary) who, themselves, do not generate any income.
  • Obamacare will force this doctor to hire additional staff to do all the extra paperwork.
  • The income for that extra staff will have to be generated by the only productive member of the staff … the doctor.
  • Meanwhile, Obamacare will enforce limits on how much a doctor can earn for each service.
  • Net result: Obamacare will increase a doctor’s office costs while decreasing his earning power.

Is it any wonder so many doctors are saying they will retire if Obamacare goes into full effect?
