A distinction without a difference

2013_05 Terrorists are all alike

May 4, 2013: Bill Ayers said people can’t equate the bombings that he and others in the Weather Underground did 40 or so years ago with the Boston Marathon bombings. He said to do so would be like comparing folks enjoying a little target practice at a shooting range with what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. I’m so sure Weather Undergrounders like Bill’s common law wife made it to the FBI’s Top Ten Wanted List because they were so peaceful and law-abiding.

But. But. But.

According to Bill, he and his violent extremist bomber buds never KILLED anyone.

Too bad he’s either lying or all those drugs he’s used have damaged his memory.

In 1969 and 1970, he and his terrorist thugs detonated more than half a dozen bombs in public places. The fact noone outside their own incompetent members was killed is due more to luck than lack of lethal intent.

In March 1970, while preparing a nailbomb the Weather Underground intended to detonate at a dance at a local Army base, three of them blew themselves up.

And while they didn’t take credit for a lethal bombing at a San Franciso Police Department the month before, there is good reason to believe they did it.

Moreover, having probably killed and definitely been killed, they clearly had no intention of stopping.

In April 1970, Chicago police raid and shut down a Weather Underground bomb factory and confiscated 59 sticks of dynamite, ammunition, and nitro glyerine.

In 1971, the FBI located another bomb factory in San Francisco and the group detonated two more bombs.

In 1972, they bombed the Pentagon.

In 1973, they detonated three more bombs.

In 1974, they detonated four bombs.

In 1975, they detonated four bombs.

In October of 1981, a group of Weather Underground and Black Liberation Army members held up a Brinks truck. When authorities stopped them, they opened fire, killing two police officers and one Brinks guard, as well as wounding several others.

Ayers and his common law wife both got off, not because they were not guilty, but because the FBI had messed up on procedures. Ayers was later quoted as crowing they were,

“Guilty as sin, free as a bird. America is a great country.”

In 2001, Ayers appeared in Chicago Magazine, proudly stomping on the American flag and saying he had no regrets about his long association with the violent domestic terrorist organization. He said,

“I acted appropriately in the context of those times.”

Appropriately? This man detonated bombs in public spaces in the name of peace; he claims to hate imperialism, yet has long supported Communism; he also claims to hate globalization, yet has been involved for decades in advancing the career of Barack “It takes a global village” Obama’s career.

Recognizing the two-faced hypocrisy of this arrogant Leftist, tweeters weighed in on ways that Ayers and Tsarnaev are like Totally Different.

  • The Weather Underground didn’t get their own operatives killed. Oh wait. Yes, they did.
  • Both were guilty as sin, but only one went to jail.
  • Ayers didn’t use pressure cookers.
  • Tsarnaev never wore an earring.
  • Ayers stole taxpayers’ money after he bombed U.S. citizens.
  • Tsarnaev stole taxpayers’ money before he bombed U.S. citizens.
  • Ayers is still drawing oxygen.
  • Tsarnaev never threw a party for Obama.
  • Ayers has Obama’s cell phone number.
  • Tsarnaev has an Obama phone.
  • Ayers got tenure and became a liberal media celebrity.
  • Tsarnaev never set off a bomb at the Pentagon to celebrate Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.
  • Ayers’ bombings weren’t Terrorism-Terrorism.
  • We don’t have a picture of Tsarnaev standing on an American Flag.

Summary: They both hate America. The reasons don’t matter.

The FBI’s 31 Most Wanted Terrorists

2013_05 07 FBI's most wanted toon

That’s right, Janet.

ALL 31 of these people are NOT Rightwingnuts.

  • They’re not war veterans.
  • They’re not Christian fundamentalists.
  • They’re not Pro-Lifers or NRA gun nuts.

THIRTY are violent Muslim extremists, all with Muslim names and dark skin.

The lone “whitebread” is a violent Animal-Rights extremist.

He eats vegan, enjoys sailing, and likes to set off bombs laced with nails.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading directly to his arrest and has his poster marked, “SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS.”

Not that a quarter mill is that big a deal on this list. The lone woman is worth a whole entire million.

And that crap about how poverty and a lack of education breed violence? It’s crap. Zulkifli Abdhir is a Malaysian who was educated in engineering in the United States. He speaks Malaysian, English, Tagalog, Arabic and Terrorism. Wadoud Muhammad Hafiz al-Turki is a civil engineer who speaks Arabic, English and Terrorism.

So tell me, Secretary Left-Wing Obama Democrat Napolitano. Who is guilty of profiling? Me for reporting the facts or you for sending reports out to every law enforcement agency in the country pointing your “OMG! Potential Terrorists” finger at your POLITICAL enemies?

And while you’re answering questions (or shouting, “Look, a squirrel!” which is more likely), I’d really like to know why Anas Al-Liby has been granted political asylum in the UNITED KINGDOM!

Has _Resident Øbama’s foreign policy managed to not only embolden our enemies but embitter our allies to this degree?

Or was it the iPod he gave the Queen?

Lone gunman halts terrorists intent on mass murder

July 25, 1993 – Charl Van Wyk, who carried a gun to a service at St. James Church, Cape Town, South Africa, stopped terrorists armed with semi-automatic weapons and bent on mass slaughter. He saved hundreds of lives.

Were people at the service put off by his action? On the contrary, some of the undecided came to Christ as a result of these events. Van Wyk notes that self-defense is biblical.

“The Bible clearly teaches, ‘A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well’ (Proverbs 25:26). Surely we would be ‘faltering before the wicked’ if we cannot protect worshipers in a church!”

Guns - Dial 911 and die

He also says gun control progressives live in a “sheer utopian fantasy” to expect “homicidal maniacs” follow gun laws. He believes politicians should do what’s right to save the lives of children and teachers.

“In Israel teachers and parents, serving as school aides, are armed at all times on school grounds, with semi-automatic weapons. Since this policy was adopted in the 1970s, attacks by gunmen at schools in Israel have ceased,” he said.

“In 2004 Thailand adopted a similar approach for safety of children. It may be politically incorrect, but it does have the advantage of saving the lives of innocent children and teachers. The policy? Encouraging teachers to carry firearms.” he continued. “Though Thailand’s government is extremely hostile to gun ownership in general, it has recognized that teachers ought to be able to safeguard their students and themselves,” he said. “Maybe we can learn something from these countries.”

Guns - Chicago proves gun control fails to control gun crime

He argues strict gun control actually leads to more crime.

“Besides the mother’s womb, gun-free zones are the most dangerous places on earth. At the end of the day, we need to be prepared to defend ourselves. The only person who can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun; nobody else will be of much help.”

Gen. Patrick Brady explains why president abandoned Americans in Benghazi

A Dust Off chopper saved my brother’s life in Vietnam. His son and daughter and their sons and daughters would not exist if the Obama-Panetta doctrine had been the order of the day back then. CtH

Medal of Honor recipient Major General Patrick Brady, U.S. Army (Ret.) says,

“My veteran friends are horrified by the Obama-Panetta doctrine. At least 359 retired flag officers support Mitt Romney – only five that I know of support Obama. Some 150 former prisoners of war also support Romney; I know of none who support Obama. America needs to listen to these veterans. They understand leadership. They know how to deal with risk in war. They would not want this man with them in combat or crisis. They never left a needy comrade behind. Obama did.”

Disarmed Forces By Maj. Gen. Patrick Brady, U.S. Army (ret.) – Nov 4, 2012

http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/u-s-general-obama-paralyzed-by-fear/

Now I understand! For years, many veterans and active military have been alarmed about the idiocy of the changes in battlefield aeromedical evacuation known as Dust Off. For reasons having nothing to do with patient care, Dust Off has been removed from the control of the professionals, the medics, and put under the control of amateurs, aviation staff officers, or ASOs. This is the first such change since the Civil War.

I document the unparalleled excellence of Dust Off, and the effects of the changes, in my book, “Dead Men Flying.” Needless to say, it was the most outstanding battlefield operating system of that war – some one million souls saved and unprecedented survival rates. No warrior of Vietnam is more revered than the Dust Off crews.

In the words of Gen. Creighton Abrams, former U.S. Army chief of staff and former supreme commander in Vietnam: “A special word about the Dust Offs … Courage above and beyond the call of duty was sort of routine to them. It was a daily thing, part of the way they lived. That’s the great part, and it meant so much to every last man who served there. Whether he ever got hurt or not, he knew Dust Off was there. It was a great thing for our people.”

Fast forward to current battlefields. We hear horror stories about patients waiting and dying because Dust Off didn’t launch or came too late. The launch standard in my unit in Vietnam was two minutes; today it is 15 minutes! Can anyone imagine a fire truck taking 15 minutes to get under way? I could go on and on, but one has to ask, why? Why the changes to an excellent, proven system?

The answer is the Obama-Panetta Doctrine. In response to the horrible abandonment of dying Americans in Benghazi, Defense Secretary Panetta said: “(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place.”

On its face, that is a remarkable, indeed incomprehensible, change from America’s doctrine in past wars. By that standard, there would have been no Normandy or Inchon. In fact, I can’t think of a war we fought in which we didn’t go into harm’s way without real-time information or to save lives – something the president refused to do in Benghazi. Dust Off would never launch in Vietnam under that doctrine.

To fully understand the doctrinal change, one has to understand President Obama. He has a dearth of understanding of our military and military matters. We hear he is uncomfortable in the presence of ranking military and seldom meets with them. He is not a person who can make decisions, and he takes an extraordinary amount of time to do so, leading to such unseemly labels for a commander in chief as “ditherer in chief.”

President Obama may have set records for voting “present” on important issues. He cowers from crisis decisions. He is a politician who thinks only in terms of votes and his image. Although I was a psychology major back in the day (I’d love to hear a professional analyze risk and Obama), I won’t try to define his insides, but I believe he is risk-averse – fearful of risk – and that is the basis of the Obama-Panetta doctrine.

This aversion for risk dominates Dust Off rescue operations where, in addition to an unconscionable reaction time, risk assessment is the primary consideration for mission launch – not patient care. In two years flying Dust Off in Vietnam, I never heard that term, nor did any Dust pilot I know. The ASOs, remote from the battle, have developed time-consuming algorithms to analyze risk while the patient bleeds, something that’s impossible to do by anyone other than the pilot and the ground forces at the scene.

And Obama’s terror of risk contributed to the massacre of Americans by terrorists in Benghazi. We hear that the president did not even convene the Counterterrorism Security Group while the Benghazi terrorist massacre was visually and verbally available in real time. That is like ignoring FEMA during Hurricane Sandy. But once you bring in a group labeled anti-terrorist, you have to acknowledge terror exists, something the president is loath to do.

My veteran friends are horrified by the Obama-Panetta doctrine.

Obama did.

White House source says Benghazi attack was botched kidnapping [1:39]

White House Source states Benghazi Attack was attempted kidnapping of Ambassador Stevens.Arranged with Muslim Brotherhood as ‘October Surprise’ by Obama, who wanted to make release of Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman more palatable to American people and to boost sagging approval ratings.

Libyan witnesses recount organized Benghazi attack

Oct 27, 2012: Associated Press reporters filed a report from Libya that completely smashes the White House’s lame excuses about a protest gone bad.

The AP reporters say they interviewed five witnesses: one of the embassy guards, several people living next door to the consulate compound who were present when the militants first moved in and a lawyer who passed by the scene as he was headed to his nearby home.

According to these witnesses:

  • The attack on our Benghazi consulate began around nightfall with around 150 bearded gunmen sealing off the streets leading to the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
  • There was no sign of a spontaneous protest against an American-made movie denigrating Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, but the militants did gather around 20 youths in the area to chant against the film.
  • An hour or so later, the heavily armed militants blasted their way into the compound.
  • The trucks the attackers used to block off streets were marked with the logo of Ansar al-Shariah.

Ansar al-Sharia is one of the many powerful, heavily armed militias that operate freely in Libya. The group has an ideology similar to that of al-Qaeda, but it is not clear whether al-Qaeda’s branch in North Africa (AQIM) was involved in the assault.

Reporting international news is AP’s bailiwick.

  • On September 11, an American consulate in a red-hot Muslim region of the world is invaded by heavily armed men.
  • For the first time in 30 years, an American ambassador is murdered.
  • Our diplomatic compounds are U.S. soil, which makes this a direct, murderous assault on the United States of America.
  • The attack occurs on the anniversary of 9/11, the biggest attack on America by Muslim extremists.

AP filed this eyes-on-the-ground report October 27, forty-six days after the event. It says,

“The past week, the AP has gathered accounts from five witnesses.”

In other words, the Associated Press did NOT get around to interviewing eye witnesses of this world-class news event for SIX FULL WEEKS after it happened.

SIX weeks?

Six WEEKS!!

If you go and read the article itself (URL below), you’ll also see a lot of whining about how confusing it all was and where AP reports got some of it right and blahdiblah about those terrible Republicans who politicize stuff during an election year.

Whine. Whine. Cripes, they sound like Democrats. Oh wait. They are Democrats … Democrats who have seen not Chris Stevens’ blood on the wall, but their own.

Don’t expect to see me weeping big ol’ crocodile tears about these undeclared Obama PACs going DOWN. They so deserve it, the scumbags.

The stink from Benghazi gets worse every day

June 6, 2012: Terrorists blew a big hole in the gate of our consulate in Benghazi.

October 10, 2012:  Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said,

“Under cover of darkness, assailants placed an IED on the north gate of Consulate Benghazi, blowing a hole in the security perimeter that was described by one individual as ‘big enough for forty men to go through.’”

“These pictures are of an attack that happened in Benghazi. The first was a so-called fish bomb. This is the compound in Benghazi before the attack. … The second bombing was an improvised explosive device [IED] that was placed on the north gate, breaching the wall [on June 6]. It was a test by terrorists and it was successful, and we didn’t respond fully and adequately.”

“We didn’t acknowledge it. We didn’t talk about it. We pretended it didn’t happen. It was a terrorist attack on a U.S. asset in Libya and it was never exposed. We pretended it didn’t happen.”

On Oct 19, 2012, Thomas Clough wrote about the September 11, 2012 attack:

“The attackers came equipped with assault rifles, automatic weapons and shoulder-launched rocket-propelled grenades. The attack began with rockets fire aimed at the mission gates. Within 15 minutes the attackers were inside the mission complex. Reports of well-targeted mortar fire was proof that this attack was the work of a trained and coordinated combat team.

[Once upon a time, I was a gunner in a heavy-weapons mortar platoon. We called our specialty “High-Angle Hell.” I speak from experience: precision artillery fire doesn’t “just happen.”]

No. It doesn’t just happen, does it?  They practiced on June 6th.

Negligent or complicit – Take your pick

Bombshell: Benghazi Targets Painted, Air Support Overhead – Obama Calls Off Strike

October 27, 2012 by Tim Brown

http://freedomoutpost.com/2012/10/bombshell-benghazi-targets-painted-air-support-overhead-obama-calls-off-strike/

In piecing together the details of the Benghazi attack up the U.S. consulate, it is becoming clear that there were U.S. Special Operations forces on the ground, at least two drones overhead and lasers being used to paint at least one target. The question then becomes, if these things were in place for a strike against attackers, who called it off? There can only be one answer, the commander-in-chief Barack Obama.

Fox News reports on the laser being used to paint the target:

At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/26/cia-operators-were-denied-request-for-help-during-benghazi-attack-sources-say/

This went on for four hours and the White House was able to watch this all take place live. Two drones were above recording what was taking place and it seems one was called in to relieve the other, presumably because of fuel issues. A former Delta operator over at BlackFive writes:

Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.

One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not “paint” a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.

If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Panetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.

If that SEAL was actively “painting” a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

http://www.blackfive.net/main/2012/10/bigger-than-watergate-proof-that-the-president-is-lying-about-benghazi.html

There is also the issue of the former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods and a small team that ignored orders to stand down after they requested permission to go and help.

Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to “stand down,” according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to “stand down.”

Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/26/cia-operators-were-denied-request-for-help-during-benghazi-attack-sources-say/

CIA spokeswoman Jennifer Youngblood denied claims that requests for support were turned down.

“We can say with confidence that the Agency reacted quickly to aid our colleagues during that terrible evening in Benghazi,” she said. “Moreover, no one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. In fact, it is important to remember how many lives were saved by courageous Americans who put their own safety at risk that night-and that some of those selfless Americans gave their lives in the effort to rescue their comrades.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/26/cia-operators-were-denied-request-for-help-during-benghazi-attack-sources-say/

I can’t help but think that this sounds, at least with the information that we are getting, like much of the response to the attacks of September 11, which was no response. Even more disturbing is what BlackFive writes,

“This is bigger than Watergate!… The worst has to be the team on the ground knowing that the President just left you to die.“

http://www.blackfive.net/main/2012/10/bigger-than-watergate-proof-that-the-president-is-lying-about-benghazi.html

All of this was responded to by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on Thursday. He said,

The U.S. military did not get involved during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, last month because officials did not have enough information about what was going on before the attack was over.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/10/27/U-S-Had-Two-Drones-AC-130-Gunship-and-Targets-Painted-In-Benghazi-But-Obama-Didn-t-Pull-The-Trigger

Just how much information did you need? The White House had emails. They had forces on the ground, drones overhead, a live feed, painted targets. For four hours nothing was done while the consulate was attacked. There was a Special Operations team operating in Central Europe that could have been called upon, but weren’t, and could have flown there in less than two hours. But none of this was done.

It is looking more and more as though this was not only a planned attack, but also that either the White House was either negligent and irresponsible in their “non-response” or complicit.
