Meet Wendy Davis,Victim
Dear Friend,
As our campaign has gained momentum, our opponents have gotten more and more desperate. But now they’ve stooped to a new low by attacking my family, my education, and my personal story – playing politics with the journey that has been my life. Mine is a story about a teenage single mother who struggled to keep her young family afloat. It’s a story about a young woman who was given a precious opportunity to work her way up in the world. It’s a story about resiliency, and sacrifice, and perseverance.And you’re damn right it’s a true story.
Throughout this campaign, I’ve shared that story – not because it’s unique, but because it isn’t.
The story of my life is also the story of millions of single mothers who feel alone in the world, millions of young dreamers searching for their chance to become something more than what they were born into, millions of families all across Texas who would sacrifice everything to give their children a better future.
It’s those stories – your stories – that drive my campaign. But Greg Abbott and his allies don’t want to hear them. They don’t have anything to offer Texans who find themselves in the same difficult situation I was in when I was young. They would slam the doors I walked through and pull up the ladders I was lucky to be able to climb.
And now, instead of offering real ideas to improve your life, they’re attacking mine.
It won’t work. The only thing Greg Abbott and his allies have proved with these desperate attacks is that they don’t understand what it means to live a life like mine – a life like that of so many people all across our state.
They don’t know me – and, what’s more important, they don’t know you.
I’m not surprised that the Abbott campaign would resort to attacking the story of a single mother who worked hard to get ahead.
And I’m not afraid of their false attacks – I developed thick skin long before anyone knew my name.
What I am is deeply proud of the life I’ve built and the daughters I’ve raised – and deeply grateful to the many, many people who have shared their stories and offered their support as I’ve traveled our state.
No false attack can take away my story. And no sleazy political trick will stop me from giving voice to yours.
Your stories are why I’m running for Governor. And together, I know we’ll make sure that the Texas we leave to our children is a place where every young mother can build a better life for her child. . . where every family can work their way up the economic ladder. . . where every Texan can achieve their dreams and live out their own success story.

Wendy Davis: Feminist Liar … but I repeat myself
A liberal reporter published a story critical of Pro-Abortion Wendy Davis’ personal narrative in a liberal Texas newspaper saying Davis had “blurred” some of the finer details of the personal narrative she and her staff have used to attract voters and boost fundraising.
Wendy Davis has made a big deal about her alleged “struggles” as a “divorced teenage mother living in a trailer who earned her own way through college and law school.” It conjures up images of a 16-year-old washing out dirty diapers in the teensy little toilet of some run-down rented trailer in some dusty trailer park while studying for her GED, doesn’t it? Are you touched and inspired yet? Don’t be. It turns out her “I built that” story is full of holes.
It turns out Davis (born 1963) was 18 when she got married the first time and 19 when their daughter, Amber (born 1982), was born. So, yeah, she was a teen-aged mom … barely.
“Barely” also applies to her “teen-aged single mom” tale. Wendy claims she was 19 when she got divorced, but court records show she was actually 21 when her divorce went through. Maybe she was still 19 when the marriage broke up. But the “single mom living in a trailer” thing is hugely exaggerated. She and her baby moved into her family’s mobile home for a few months before getting their own apartment.
So, yeah, okay. For a time, she was the single mother of a toddler, working two jobs and attending a two-year, para-legal program at a community college (1984 to 1986). One of the jobs was waiting tables four nights a week at her father’s restaurant. The other was working as a receptionist in a pediatrician’s office in the mornings. I’ll grant you, that’s a full schedule. But it’s not crushing and she obviously had family support.
She also clearly had free time and spare energy, because she was only 20 when she started dating second husband-to-be, Jeff Davis. She was still legally married; he was a lawyer, 13 years her senior, and financially well-established. Betcha Grandma was the one watching Amber when Wendy was busy receptioning, waiting tables, going to classes, studying or out on dates with Jeff the Lawyer. I need a tissue!
Wendy and Jeff married in 1987 and “settled in the historic Mistletoe Heights neighborhood, which sits on the bluffs above the Trinity River.” (More tissues, quick!) Their daughter, Dru, was born in September 1988 while Wendy was working on her Bachelor of Arts in English (1988-1990), which Jeff paid for.
Then she decided to NOT attend a law school in or near Fort Worth, where she could maybe live at home or, at worst, commute home on week-ends. No. She decided she should hike off to Harvard Law School, 1800 miles. Amber was maybe 8 years old and Dru was 2 or 3 when she made this choice. You don’t come home to Texas for week-ends with hubby and the kids when you’re living in BOSTON.
Call me crazy, but damn. There is no freaking way I would’ve left home when my kids were that young! I had to be hospitalized in a too-distant-to-visit city for 3 weeks when they were little. It killed me that I only got to see them once half-way through. I don’t get this woman. I really don’t.
Jeff Davis, who is obviously way too good for her, cashed in his 401(k) and took out a loan to pay for Harvard. He also kept the girls with him in Texas. She was graduated and passed the bar in 1993. The day after Jeff had made the final payment on the loan, she walked out on him. Literally.
The day after. Criminetly, she’s not even subtle about what a self-serving narcissist she is. In the divorce, he got custody of both girls (thank God) and Wendy was ordered to pay child support. So much for that “I know what it’s like to be a single mom” and “I paid my own way through college” crap.
Wendy’s excuse for her political pile of bio bullshit? “My language should be tighter,” she said. “I’m learning about using broader, looser language. I need to be more focused on the detail.”
She’s a LAWYER, for crying out loud. If there’s one thing lawyers learn, it’s how to be PRECISE in their language … especially when they’re under oath. Davis recently testified in a federal lawsuit, “I got divorced by the time I was 19 years old.” But her divorce wasn’t final until she was 21, which means she lied in her testimony.
If Wendy Davis were a Pro-Life Republican, they’d be screaming about perjury. Kinda reminds one of Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren, doesn’t it?

Does it seem to anyone else that the more the dems get,the angrier and greedier they get?
They had it all after the 2008 elections and still behaved like the ill-mannered louts they are.The GOP became the majority in the house in 2010 and instantly became the scapegoat for every government failure.With the shutdown looming tomorrow the libs show no indication of negotiating with republicans whatever.They don’t have to.Just shut things down,trot a few public union ‘victims’ in front of the cameras and let their propaganda machine batter the republicans mercilessly until they submit.I put the over/under on capitulation at 3 1/2 days.
There was so much venom spewed over the weekend,I had to put it in a separate post.Were I as talented as Chrissy,I could just post pictures alongside the bile that they disseminated.I’m not,so I have to C&P links and some youtubes for you to look over.If you don’t want to bother I can’t blame you.I just did it to lower my blood pressure.Anyway,it’s done.

Yet another reason why I never click on HuffPo
And why I stopped using my AOL email account. AOL bought HuffPo in February 2011 and began pushing it as their Go To News site.
Googling “AOL buys HuffPo” got me these two statements:
- AOL said, “AOL is buying Huffington Post, the news and culture website, in a deal that catapults AOL into a new stratosphere of a genuine media company.”
- The Wall Street Journals said, “AOL Buys Huffington Post: Is It Crazy?”
So about that claim that Huffington Post is a “news” website …
June 2013: The Filibuster Heard ‘Round the World
Texas State Senator Wendy Davis became a national darling of the left when she filibustered against a Texas State law that would halt the dismemberment and poisoning of pain-capable fetuses (i.e., post 20 weeks gestation).
HuffPo was among the many “news” media that declared Davis a hero … despite the fact that her filibuster accomplished nothing more than to catapult her and her pink running shoes into the national limelight. After she shut up, the law passed.
Sept 2013: Cruz Hijacks Senate ‘Til I’m Unable to Stand’
Texas Senator Ted Cruz was ridiculed and dismissed by the left when he filibustered in favor of the House bill to fund everything in the federal government, except Obamacare. They sneeringly called it just a “long speech” and a “fauxlibuster” because his time on the floor wouldn’t delay any votes.
They neglected to mention that Democrat Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid was contemptuously refusing to even permit a vote on the House bill. The only vote Reid wants to come to the floor is to vote to fund EVERYTHING or NOTHING.
The House bill approved funding for everything EXCEPT Obamacare.

The studied ignorance of the pro-choice crowd
Texas state senator Wendy Davis became famous for filibustering an abortion bill while wearing pink sneakers, with a good deal of help from an unruly mob. The bill eventually passed anyway, but Davis became a pro-choice icon.
Then she admitted that she knew nothing about the Gosnell case. I guess we can safely assume she doesn’t know about the Planned Parenthood of Delaware nurses and supervisor who have been blowing the whistle about “meat-market-style, assembly-line abortions” at their clinic, either.
That’s typical of the lazy, dictatorial nature of “pro-choice” activists. They don’t think it’s necessary to know what they’re talking about, or consider a single word spoken by the other side of the debate.
The studied ignorance of the pro-choice crowd is a telling contrast with the tendency to accuse everyone else – men and women alike – of having no clue about pregnancy, and therefore no right to discuss abortion.
In related news, the very same people who thought calling Sarah Palin “Caribou Barbie” was hilarious are now working themselves up into a towering frenzy of outrage over Erick Erickson referring to Wendy Davis as “Abortion Barbie.” But that’s par for the course among the totalitarian Left.

Wendy Davis’s one day pro-abortion filibuster in the Texas state senate was given THREE TIMES more big media coverage than the six-weeks-long trial of late term abortionist and serial killer Kermit Gosnell.
Science schmience. MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry says life begins when the parents’ feelings tell them it begins.
It was recently revealed that back in 2007, NBA player J.J. Redick and model Vanessa Lopez negotiated a legal contract in which Redick agreed to continue dating Lopez for another year in exchange for Lopez aborting their baby. And “Redick” (not Reddick) does appear to be the correct spelling of his name. I didn’t make that up for a joke, though really, I could have, all things considered.

Media Bias on Parade
AP’s coverage of the Texas protests ignored the many ugly incidents by Pro-Aborts, as well as President Barack Obama’s tweet in support of the protesters’ grisly cause.
The Texas bill, which the Left decried as all-out war on women, would ban abortions after 20 weeks and require abortion clinics to meet basic health and safety standards.
Oh the horror. And here we thought they wanted abortions to be rare and safe. ::snort::
