A Deal with the Devil

Elizabeth Warren struck a deal with the devil in claiming Native American ancestry for advancement

The only reason why the battle over the supposed Native American ancestry of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., continues to generate headlines is identity politics.

If we had spent the last 50 years moving toward character instead of skin color as a much more sensible way to define ourselves, would anyone outside of her family and friends care about Warren’s heritage? Why should they?

Tuesday Junk

The daily installment of “who cares?”

Trump’s lawyers reportedly don’t want him talking to Mueller – It’s advice he should take
There is no evidence Robert Mueller needs from Donald Trump – it’s a trap Trump should avoid unless and until the Supreme Court rules otherwise.
Those characteristics, while they proved valuable against the comatose and drab Hillary, could be a disaster in an interview with Mueller. Mueller’s team is very experienced in these perjury and obstruction traps. They will not ask any questions they don’t already know the answer to, and the questions they ask will not be posed to obtain information. They have all the information. They will be probing not for information, but for mistakes.
Don’t do it. I don’t know what power Mueller would have to compel testimony, but nothing should be done voluntarily.

Schumer Delivers Most Unhinged Rant Yet: Trump ‘Most Dangerous and Worst Man’ Ever To Be POTUS
“We are dealing with probably the most dangerous and worst man in the presidency we have ever had in the history of this nation, but we are going to win the fight,” Schumer told the crowd.
“If we can take back the Senate, that means that I will have the sole power to determine what goes on the floor of the Senate,” he added. “It means we’ll be able stop Donald Trump from putting all his junk on the floor and stop the anti-LGBT cascade of things that come into the United States Senate,” the Senate Minority Leader continued.

Baltimore Mayor Debuts Crime Prevention Office to Support Black Males
Mayor Catherine Pugh announced a new office, to be called the Office of African American Male Engagement, which she says will begin operations on February 12. It is modeled after a similar venture in Philadelphia, where it is called the Office of Black Male Engagement.
The mayor also said she has picked former city high school principal and mayoral candidate Andrey Bundley to helm the office.
“The reason the office is important is because too many black men are either the perpetrators of crime or victims of it,” Bundley said, according to the Baltimore Sun. “It is about saving lives.”

Judge criticized by Trump may end up determining fate of border wall, report says
US District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, whom President Trump accused of being biased in handling the Trump University case during the 2016 election, will hear a case on Friday to decide whether the president’s proposed wall along the southern border can get waivers for environmental laws.
If Curiel rules against President Trump, the administration’s effort to secure the border between the US and Mexico could come to a halt.
Curiel, an Indiana native who was nominated to the federal bench by Barack Obama in 2011, was criticized by the president in 2016 for certifying class-action lawsuits that claimed Trump University was fraudulent.

The 2018 Elections Just Got A Bit Easier For Democrats Thanks To The Supreme Court
The Pennsylvania legislature will redraw the state’s congressional district lines in advance of the 2018 midterm elections, after the Supreme Court Monday declined to overturn an order requiring a new map.
The decision is a victory for Pennsylvania Democrats, who convinced the state supreme court in January that the current map is gerrymandered to favor Republicans, in violation of the state constitution. The court ordered the GOP-controlled legislature to produce a new map by Feb. 9.

Homelessness in Los Angeles Has Surged by 75 Percent in Six Years

Three out of four homeless people — 41,000 — live in cars, campers, tents and lean-tos, by far the biggest single group of unsheltered people in any U.S. city. If you took out Los Angeles, national homelessness would have dropped last year for the first time since the recession.
The problem has only gotten worse since Mayor Eric Garcetti took office in 2013 and a liberal Democratic supermajority emerged in 2016 on the county Board of Supervisors.

In Case You’re Not Keeping Up

There’s a battle raging in D.C. that you may not be aware of or even fully understand. Here’s an attempt to simplify things a bit.

Consumer Protection Finance Bureau … that’s the last time I type that because pecking away at this keyboard I’m 8 thumbs and two middles fingers. Henceforth it is now simply CFPB.

This dirty little deed came about during the Dodd-Frank disaster that ruined the economy and led to the ascent of one Barack Obama. Lieawatha Warren was once the head of this thing.

Rush can summarize it far better than I can:

Democrats Set Up Unconstitutional CFPB to Launder Money for Liberal Causes

Rush:  The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This is another little liberal enclave that was established by liberal Democrats, including Elizabeth Warren, that was set up as an agency that was unaccountable to anyone. It even had a budget that was unaccountable to the U.S. budget. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd set this thing up and Elizabeth Warren was the real driver of this particular organization, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

This was an independent agency set up to be able to legally get money from the financial industry and then turn around and give it to left-wing activist groups. And that’s what they were doing with it. And that’s why they are so desperate to hold on to it. The point is, it’s unconstitutional, and that’s the only thing that matters.

Rush:  There’s something called the Federal Vacancies Reform Act which allows the president, who runs the executive branch, to appoint successors to people in federal agencies under the executive branch umbrella leaving. This thing was set up to be an independent agency accountable to no one. Its very existence is unconstitutional. The left knows it. That’s why they’re hell-bent, Cordray named this Leandra English to succeed him.

The money went to unions. The money went to states and teachers and union members to keep them employed during the Great Recession. The reason for that is, those people need to be employed in order to pay union dues. Union dues are collected from what they make and are sent in a circuitous route back to the Democrat Party in the form of campaign donations. So the stimulus was a substitute for Obama walking over to the Treasury and writing a check for $800 billion to the Democrat National Committee.

Consumer Bureau execs, workers gave 593 donations to Democrats, 1 to GOP

A quick count of donations found:

•$46,611 to Hillary Rodham Clinton.
•$13,190 to Sen Elizabeth Warren.
•$19,988 to President Obama.
•$10,075 to Democratic campaign committees.
•$1,129 to Sen. Bernie Sanders.

CFPB Joins Justice In Shaking Down Banks For Democrat Activist Groups
The CFPB plans to create a so-called Civil Penalty Fund from its own shakedown operations targeting financial institutions. Through ramped-up (and trumped-up) anti-discrimination lawsuits and investigations, the agency will bankroll some 60 liberal nonprofits, many of whom are radical Acorn-style pressure groups. It says these organizations will provide “financial coaching” for low-income homebuyers, as well as “housing and social services.”

Obama’s Department of Housing and Urban Development is also getting in on the act.

In a $200 million settlement with Associated Bank, which the agency accused of lending discrimination, HUD is forcing the Wisconsin bank to funnel tens of millions in “donations” to “community groups.”

This is extortion of private business by government. Congress’ new leadership must call on the agency’s inspector general and the Government Accountability Office to audit these pernicious payola schemes.

It turns out that Cordray, quite illegally, on his way out named his deputy, Leandra English, as the temporary director. When Mulvaney arrived at work Monday morning, he was forced to issue a memo saying “Please disregard any instructions you receive from Ms. English in her presumed capacity as acting director.”

Who is Deepak Gupta? Ex-CFPB employee emerges as leading anti-Trump litigator

This week, Gupta was in court representing Leandra English, who claims she is acting director Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. When Trump picked Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney to fill the position, English sued, arguing that as deputy director the law puts her in charge.

Secret Donors Are Financing Leandra English Lawsuit Against Trump

The D.C. lawyer appeared caught off guard when CNBC hosts asked who was financing his effort. He stumbled over his words in his first answer and said some form of unidentified “structure” was being put in place to accept funds from anonymous donors.

“Well, uh, it’s, it’s not, um, Miss, um English, um, ah. There are ethics lawyers that we’ve consulted, and we have a structure set up that is with ethics rules and, um, we’ll and we’ll be talking about that once we have that,” he told CNBC.

Elizabeth Warren leads protest to block Trump’s CFPB appointment

The CFPB, an agency created by the Dodd-Frank banking law that passed during former President Barack Obama’s first term, has become the focal point of a new fight over presidential authority in recent days

Maria Langholz of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, which helped organize the Tuesday protest, added in a statement that “Trump is trying to undermine the CFPB by breaking the rules to install a guy who is wholly unfit for the office and has numerous conflicts of interest.”

The CFPB Coup Attempt Is Over, Court Rules In Favor Of Trump Administration

A U.S. District Court judge in Washington handed a big victory to President Donald Trump, ruling in favor of the administration in its bid to install White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney as acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Judge Timothy Kelly denied a request by Leandra English, who was named last week as acting director by outgoing CFPB chief Richard Cordray, for a temporary restraining order to block Mulvaney from taking the post.

Kelly said there was not a substantial likelihood that the case would succeed on its merits.

Court Rules with POTUS TRUMP – Tells Far Left Hack to Clear Contents of Her Office into Box and Evacuate the Premises

Recent Trump appointee ruled today in favor of President Trump and rejected a lawsuit from an official who claims that she, and not President Trump appointee Mick Mulvaney, is the rightful director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

CFPB Acting Director Mick Mulvaney Orders 30-Day Hiring, Regulatory Freeze

Mulvaney declared that President Trump “wants me to get it [the agency] back to the point where it can protect people without trampling on capitalism.”

The hiring freeze came amidst a feud between current director Mulvaney and deputy director Leandra English, an Obama-era appointee to the CFPB, who argued that she remains the rightful director of the financial regulatory agency.

Just Havin’ Fun

The president gets a perverse joy out of tweaking the democrats and the enslaved press. He plays them like a virtuoso.

It was on display again yesterday at a ceremony to honor the Navajo Code Talkers who played a huge part in winning the war in the Pacific. The code spoken in their native tongue is the only one the Japanese never cracked.

President Trump just couldn’t resist poking fun at Dizzy Lizzy Warren. Talk about a target rich environment.

Trump Knocks ‘Pocahontas’ at Event Honoring Native American Veterans

“You were here long before any of us were here,” Trump said to the three Navajo veterans who helped the U.S. Marine Corps develop a secret code during World War II. “Although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas.”

Warren slammed the president over the “racial slur” moments after he made it.

“It is deeply unfortunate that the president of the United States can’t even make it through a ceremony honoring these heroes without throwing out a racial slur,” the Massachusetts senator said during an appearance on MSNBC shortly afterward.

[CtH: Bless your heart, honey, but that wasn’t a racial slur.  It was a well deserved kick in the butt to FAKES like you who try to steal honor.  My guess is that actual Native Americans find you and others like you truly offensive and laughed at Trump’s joke.]

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended Trump’s remark, saying it was not a racial slur.

“I think what most people find offensive is Sen. Warren lying about her heritage to advance her career,” she told reporters.

Keith Olbermann: ‘I am retiring from political commentary’

GQ special correspondent Keith Olbermann announced Monday that he is “retiring from political commentary in all media venues” during his online program “The Resistance.”

The former ESPN, MSNBC, Current TV and Fox Sports host said he was “confident” President Trump’s presidency would end soon, thereby making it the “correct moment” to exit from making further political commentary.

[CtH: Oh dang!  I thought he meant he was going to actually GO AWAY, not just focus on his own show.  Pblt.]

Gutierrez to Announce He Won’t Seek Re-Election

NBC 5 has learned Congressman Luis Gutierrez will announce Tuesday he is not running for re-election after 24 years on Capitol Hill, sources say. Gutierrez telephoned key Democratic leaders late this afternoon to let them know of his plans. Calls to Gutierrez Monday evening have not been returned.

Already printing petitions Monday night– to begin the process of getting signatures before next Monday’s deadline — is Cook County Commissioner Jesus Chuy Garcia. Ald. Carlos Ramirez Rosa is considering a congressional race. This will also leave an opening on the county board should Garcia opt for Gutierrez’s seat.

Those interested in running for Gutierrez’s seat besides Garcia and Ramirez Rosa include Ald. Joe Moreno and Ald. George Cardenas.

[CtH: Can someone explain to me why the news has to do a story about how he’s going to do this, then another one when he actually does it?]

Congressman Slept With And Then Sued Allegedly Drug-Addicted Staffer

Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green had sex with a staffer who he said was a drug addict and then sued her when she threatened to go public with claims she suffered a hostile work environment, saying he “will not be extorted or blackmailed.”

[CtH: Yeah, that makes total sense.  He had a staffer he believed was a drug addict AND he sexually abused her?  Lemme think about that one for a minute.]

Conyers scandal shows what Dems really think about harassment

There are sexual harassers, and then there is John Conyers, the Democrat from Detroit who made his congressional office an adjunct of his libido.

The evidence suggests Conyers believed that as a 27-term congressman, he was entitled to the Washingon, DC, equivalent of the Ottoman Imperial Harem.

He routinely hit on his female staffers and his office was a den of sexual intrigue — allegedly featuring a jealous wife and a vindictive mistress — that properly belongs in a Bravo reality show if the network ever extends its “Real Housewives” franchise to Capitol Hill.

Dating Tips For Prominent Democrats

[CtH: Or the same jacket in different shades, kinda like the Rhinestone Cowpie’s vast array of gaudy “cowgirl” hats?]

Being a Democrat leader has always been a traditional path to making special new friends for guys who can’t cut it on looks and personality. Face it – no one ever said, “You know who’s hot? Al Franken. I bet he can bench his body weight.”

You have a right to extracurricular activities; why, liberal women will tell you themselves that the mere fact that you are quite willing to kill babies by the millions entitles you to all sorts of fringe benefits!

Now, there may to be some ungrateful ladies who make some allegations about you for whatever reason, most likely their participation in the vast right wing conspiracy. This puts you in a tough place because you have to balance the liberal principle of believing the victim with the liberal principle of liberals not being held accountable for the terrible things they do.

Rats Abandoning H.M.S. Hillary

Donna Brazile, Lizzie Warren, and Donald Trump all agree on something. Never thought you’d see that, did you? They all agree…the fix was in for the democrat primary last year. Everybody knew it, they just didn’t want to say so. Well, now Donna “we’re not going to let the white boys win” Brazile is hawking a book aptly named HACKS.

Explosive Brazile Confession: Trump and Bernie Were Right, DNC Rigged Nomination For Hillary From the Start
In her forthcoming book, former DNC chair Donna Brazile absolutely unloads on her party, blasting Barack Obama for decimating the DNC’s finances, savaging the leadership of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and confirming that yes, Hillary Clinton’s campaign had the party in its pocket long before she was its nominee.

2017_11 03 DNC Corruption

Stilton’s take on Hacks is worth a laugh or three:

Yesterday Marked The First Time Democrats Showed They Weren’t Scared Of The Clintons Anymore
The Ice Cube In Heels would do anything to get elected and felt entitled to the Democratic nomination and the presidency.

Losing the election was not about stolen emails and pilfered messages. The election of Donald Trump was about how the voters, including those forgotten Democratic voters in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were finally fed up with a party gone to seed.

Asked if DNC system was rigged in Clinton’s favor, Warren says ‘yes’

Asked Thursday by CNN’s Jake Tapper whether she believes that the Democratic campaign organization was tipped in favor of Clinton over her primary opponent, independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Warren responded without hesitation: “Yes.”

Wolf Blitzer: ‘Shocking’ Hillary Rigged DNC

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer said Thursday that it’s “shocking” that Hillary Clinton rigged the Democratic National Committee to secure her own presidential nomination.

[CtH: Further evidence of how thoroughly corrupt the Left Stream Media is.  THEY should’ve been screaming about this throughout 2012.]

In an interview with Democratic Indiana Rep. Andre Carson, Blitzer contended that it’s a “shocking revelation” that Clinton essentially bought off the DNC in exchange for control of the party’s finances and strategy.

Rep. Carson seemed unbothered by the story, stating that he thinks Brazile is “brilliant” and looks forward to reading her book.

Nets Refuse to Acknowledge Revelation Dem Primary Was ‘Rigged’ for Clinton
The reason the networks wanted to keep Brazile’s findings secret was simple: They didn’t want to ruin their narrative that Clinton was a pure angel who was a victim of Donald Trump and Russian collusion. But in recent weeks, it had come out that Clinton had the DNC in her pocket and they both were funneling money to Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele so they could work with Russian agents to get dirt on Donald Trump.
