USIP: Each year, the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) receives $55 Million in congressional (taxpayer) funds. According to DOGE, they would sweep millions of this money into a private endowment over which there was no congressional oversight). Trump vowed to dismantle the agency and sent DOGE in. A private accountant to whom USIP had paid $2,232,500 attempted to delete over 1 Terabyte of accounting data after DOGE entered the building. DOGE has recovered the data which allowed them to learn how much waste and fraud they wanted to hide. Among these was $13 Million spent on private events and travel.
