AIR: Yesterday, The New York Times reported that the air control tower at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport was grossly understaffed at the time of the deadly helicopter-airplane crash. The FAA and the controllers’ union call for 30 staff in that tower; there were 19.

A lawsuit filed by nearly 1,000 individuals who went to school to become air traffic controllers says they met the requirements for become air traffic controllers, but that they were bounced from the program for being too white.

Way back on June 3, 2015, The Wall Street Journal published an article entitled “The Obama administration forces the Federal Aviation Administration to move away from merit-based hiring criteria.”

Twenty-freaking-FIFTEEN! It’s a wonder more people have not died!

BOOTYJUDGE: Under Mayor Pete, the Department of Transportation extended its DEI/Affirmative Action push skin color and sexual perversions to include actively recruiting and hiring disabled people with hearing and/or vision impairment, missing extremities, partial to complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism. According to Pete et al., “diversity is integral to achieving FAA’s mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel across our nation and beyond.”

CONFIRMATION HEARINGS: It astonishes me the stupid things Democrat senators have used their precious minutes for during these hearings. I suspect they engage in bugged-eyed yelling to hide from their low-IQ voters that their questions actually have little to no substance.

EDUCATION: There are many kinds of intelligence. I was born across the street from an Ivy League university and have lived my entire 70 years within spitting distance of it and multiple other colleges. The main shortcoming I have noticed in the highly educated is a lack of common sense.

S&G: Trump has signed an executive order promising to prosecute teachers and schools that facilitate, affirm, and/or reinforce gender confusion in minors.

SAY NO TO PRIDE MONTH: Pride is not merely one of the seven. It is the queen. St. Gregory the Great warns us: “For when pride, the queen of sins, has fully possessed a conquered heart, she surrenders it immediately to seven principal sins, as if to some of her generals, to lay it waste” (Moralia 87). The other six deadly sins – greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth – are all offshoots of pride’s “poisonous root.”

TARIFFS: Yesterday, Trump imposed tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China that begin today. China manufactures fentanyl and Mexico and Canada are doing nothing to stop it from flowing across our mutual borders where it kills Americans every year. Trump said, “We’re not looking for a concession. We’ll just see what happens.”

ZUCK: He caved to pressure from the Biden White House and now he’s paying the price. Meta has agreed to settle Trump’s lawsuit over suspending his social media accounts following the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot. Meta, which owns Instagram and Facebook, will pay $22 million to a fund for Trump’s presidential library and an addition $3 million toward covering legal expenses and compensating additional plaintiffs involved with the case.

EDUCATION: Comparing the 2024 NAEP Reading and Mathematics Assessments at Grades 4 and 8 with those from the latest pre-pandemic test results showed average scores in fourth grade reading were five points lower, while those for eighth grade reading were five points lower. Similarly, average scores in fourth grade math were three points lower, while for eighth grade, they were eight points lower.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that mandated the defunding of any K-12 school that teaches radical, anti-American ideologies while deliberately blocking parental oversight. Maybe, if CRT and DEI and LGBTQ are removed from the school day, teachers will have time to focus on reading and math again.

  1. The civil authority’s primary duty is to the common good of its own people, who form the “household of the nation.” 
  2. Hospitality towards migrants must be guided by prudence and ordered to justice, not by abstract ideals divorced from reality. 
  3. Unchecked immigration can undermine civil society, exploit both native workers and migrants, and serve the interests of global capitalism at the expense of the common good.

Kennedy will appear at another hearing before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions today, but only Finance gets to vote on whether to advance him to a full Senate floor vote.

LEAVE PLEASE: In his effort to reduce our bloated federal government, Trump is offering resignation incentives to nearly all federal employees. If they resign before Feb. 6, they can continue to get a paycheck until September.

PROTECTING CHILDREN: Trump has signed an executive order ending Biden-era funding for so-called ‘gender-affirming care’ for individuals under 19 years old. We will no longer “fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ’transition’ of a child from one sex to another, and it will rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”

STATE DEPT: On Sunday, SecState Rubio paused all U.S. foreign assistance funded by or through the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for review. On Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavit announced two programs to cut immediately. One is the $37 million we were about to be sent to the WHO; it’s not needed since Trump’s executive order broke ties with them. The other is the $50 million taxpayer dollars we’ve spent on condoms for Gaza via Planned Parenthood, scores of which were used to create IED-carrying balloons that winds carried into southern Israel.

WHITE HOUSE PRESS ROOM: In light of the public’s vastly decreased trust in and use of legacy media, the Trump administration will be allowing independent journalists and content creators to apply for press passes to media events. More recently, he’s hosted the network’s 10 am slot. Despite getting good viewer numbers, which doesn’t mean that much at CNN these days, the failing network has offered the jerknalist hack the midnight to 2 am slot or the door. CONFIRMED: Yesterday, the Senate confirmed Scott Bessent’s nomination for Treasury secretary in a 68–29 vote. The billionaire investor will be spearheading Trump’s plan of cutting taxes and curbing deficits, while putting forward a tariff plan that also facilitates growth.

EL SALVADOR: Trump can alpha male nations like Colombia with tariffs, but that won’t work with a nation like Venezuela. His solution is to broker a “Safe Third Country” agreement with El Salvador’s President Bukele. The agreement would empower U.S. immigration officials to deport non-Salvadoran migrants to El Salvador. If they’re good people, they can settle in the now-peaceful country. FEDS: After the pandemic ended, Biden authorized federal employees to continue working from home. As of last year, only 6% of them were actually coming into their offices and doing their jobs. The rest were drawing their salaries and doing … whatever. Trump has ordered them back to work. The ordered, which he signed on Friday, says, “Heads of all departments and agencies in the executive branch of Government shall, as soon as practicable, take all necessary steps to terminate remote work arrangements and require employees to return to work in person at their respective duty stations on a full-time basis, provided that the department and agency heads shall make exemptions they deem necessary.”

LAB LEAK: The ‘rona opinion that once got you censored or worse is now the official U.S. government opinion. And it’s not because Trump declared it so. The FBI and CIA had both decided a Wuhan lab leak was the most likely source while Biden was still in office. All that has changed is that this fact has now been made public.

LEFTIES LOSING IT: On Saturday, Lenawee County (MI) Democrat Party Chairman Bill Swift posted, “[Trump’s supporters] should be arrested, and they should be facing the death penalty. They should be hanged by the neck until dead. I believe this is one of the few areas of the law where I believe the death penalty should be imposed.”

And speaking of crazy-eyed Dems … Gov. Jackboots Whitmer’s leadership has cost her state another 45,000 jobs. This year’s Simplify LLC report put Michigan at #41 out of 50 in its list of best states for entrepreneurs. Last year, Michigan was #35.

MILITARY: On Monday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for the “immediate” construction of an Iron Dome missile defense system to protect America from hostile outside threats. He also signed E.O.s directing his new Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, to get transgender ideology out of our military, to stop service members from being indoctrinated with CRT, and to offer reinstatement to service members who were booted for refusing the Fauci Ouchie.

POTUS APPROVAL: A new poll shows Trump with a +2 favorable rating in Deep Blue New Jersey. Forty-eight percent of the polls respondents said they had a favorable view of Trump, compared to 46% who did not. A further 6% of voters were neutral. In November, Trump got 46% of the vote compared to Kamala Harris’ 52%, a result that was actually closer than what we saw in the swing state of Arizona.

RFK Jr: A left-wing dark money group called Sixteen Thirty Fund, which is allowed to receive unlimited contributions from anonymous donors, is bankrolling “Stop RFK War Room”, which opposes Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation for Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary. Their ads accuse him of spreading “deadly lies about vaccines.” When RFK Jr was running for president, the Sixteen Thirty Fund supported him via “Retire Career Politicians”, which bought ads saying he “isn’t afraid to tell the truth about vaccines.” One guess who the Sixteen Thirty Fund is really all about.

SANCTUARY CITIES: Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), has called on four mayors – Chicago’s Brandon Johnson, Boston’s Michelle Wu, New York City’s Eric Adams, and Denver’s Mike Johnston – to testify publicly at an oversight hearing on February 11, 2025. 

These sanctuary cities have refused to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement and U.S. immigration laws. Comer said his goal is to determine whether further legislation is necessary to ensure that federal immigration law is enforced and that criminal aliens are swiftly removed from our communities.

STATE DEPARTMENT: Secretary of State Marco Rubio has issued a directive ordering that “sex, and not gender, shall be used” on official documents. This means U.S. passports may no longer have “X” instead of “M” or “F.”

On Saturday, Colombian President Gustavo Petro refused to accept delivery of deportees, tweeting:

President Donald Trump immediately announced retaliatory measures, including (but not limited to) 25% tariffs on all imports from Colombia, increasing to 50% if the nation continues to refuse returns after one week. Petro backed down before the ink on the tariff orders was dry. Trump said he’d hang on to the orders, just in case Colombia doesn’t honor its commitment to accept deportees.

4. The position paper is rejected by the Secretary of State, who is unhappy that insufficient equity considerations are built into the process.

5. The task force reconvenes a week later to redevelop three new, equity-centric courses of action and create a new position paper.

6. The process is delayed a week because Washington DC gets three inches of snow.

7. SecState approves the new position paper for interagency circulation, and considerable input is received from the heads of other departments so the task force must reconvene.

8. The original three proposed responsive courses of action are scrapped in favor of a new, fourth course of action that achieves the worst aspects of the three prior courses of action but satisfies the interagency.

9. Someone in State who disagrees leaks to the Washington Post, who writes a story about how ineffective the Presidential administration is.

10. The White House Chief of Staff sets up a session three days later to brief the President, who approves the new fourth course of action.

11. Over a month after the issue is first raised, the State Department Public Affairs Officer holds a press conference announcing that Colombia has agreed to try to send fewer criminals into the US and everyone declares victory.

Trump Approach:

1. Colombia announces it will not take our repatriation flights.

2. After a par-5 third hole where he goes one under par, Trump uses his iPhone to post on social media as to how the USA will destroy Colombia’s economy if they do not do what the USA demands.

3. By the time Trump gets to the par-4 sixth hole, Colombia’s President has agreed to repatriate all the illegal Colombians in his own plane, which he will pay for.

4. Trump finishes three under par and goes to the clubhouse for a Diet Coke where he posts a gangsta AI image of himself and the new FAFO Doctrine.
