Well, I think this is just pathetic. This is not a mere slip of the tongue, but just an indifference and an off the cuff attempt to pander. I don’t expect him to remember everything, but I do expect him to keep his mouth shut about something so sacred if he can’t remember properly.

OMG, what a clown… how disgusting that he could make a mistake like that!!
I am serious, I am not being sarcastic here. If he presented the medal to grieving parents, then how dare he claim that the person came back alive!!
That man is just so incompetent and stupid, that it is breath-taking.

ITA. This one really hit me where I live. We could be those grieving parents some day. Trust me … if the worst happens and we get invited to THIS White House, we’ll ask them to put the medal in the mail.
