CONSERVATIVES AT WAR OVER BOEHNER PLAN
Krauthammer and Hume agree the GOP should take what they can get until they control the Senate and the Presidency.Somehow giving the Usurper $1T now to spend as he pleases in exchange for $1.5T in phantom cuts over the next 10 years looks like a total win for Obama.

  1. Loved the Ricky Bobby prayer πŸ™‚ Funny that a lot of people didn’t get it and the pastor was criticized for being thankful for his “smokin’ wife” . πŸ™‚

A lot of people are terrible listeners. Yesterday, I told Dearest a fabric I liked was down to 15 yds, no reorders coming, so I quick bought enough for a dress.

He had his eyes on his sandwich, which is a dead giveaway with him that he’s not listening. Not the food. The eyes. He can only think about what he’s look at. (Okay, the food too. He’s got a kind of canine relationship with food.)

So I said, “You weren’t listening.”

“Yes, I was!” (Auto default response.)

      “What did I say then.”

“You said,” (frantic search of short term memory) “you bought 15 yards of material!” (Ah ha! I showed you! tone in his voice.)

“Wrong.” (I explain again. He changes the subject. I squelch unattractive desire to shove his sandwich up his nose.)

  2. Seriously? I bet there are a lot of little things like this they could cut, if they’d just take the time to find them. 2 million here and there can really add up to a lot.

  3. It’s so easy to cut the budget, start with the Government.

    Freeze hiring
10-20% cuts across the board without firing current employees.

Imagine how all those superfluous perks will fly out the door immediately. Maybe it will help our gov work smarter not lazier πŸ˜€

Loved the prayer. It made people happy and all giggly.

Now to the serious stuff. Breitbarttv keeps crashing my Firefox browser! I tried every avenue to get on there; each try it crashes the browser. When I restart it asks if I want to resume or start new session and includes all the tabs I had running except breitbarttv. Weird. I don’t like feeling violated in my own home!

Firefox has been crashing a lot for me the last few months, too, but randomly, and not with any particular tabs. Hmmmmmmmmm….

      • Safari crashes on me frequently, but I was assuming it was because my poor computer is so elderly. It’s very weird that Firefox seems to have an antipathy for Breitbart. (Safari is an equal-opportunity crasher, as far as I’ve been able to tell.)

This is weird all around. I use Firefox on an elderly computer with an out of date OS and have had no problems lately. Maybe it’s the out of date OS.

Had a thought for crashees … is your office hot? Puters do not like heat. Try freezing a bottle of water and putting it near your machine. Put it in a bowl or something to safely collect condensation.

Also, leave 1″ or more headroom so the bottle doesn’t split. If you add salt to the water, the ice will freeze at a lower temp and last longer out of the freezer.

I cycle half a dozen big juice bottles through the freezer for people and puter cooling. They work amazingly well. When Baby Buzz was here, his room was stifling. We put a frozen bottle by the fan. It lasted the night and he slept sweat free.

For Mother’s Day, I got a pretty basket of flowers. After they died, it occurred to me the basket had a plastic liner, so would be useful for catching condensation. The juice bottles fit in the basket perfectly and the handle gives me a convenient way to tote the bottles to and from the freezer.

I have an a/c in my office, but I only use it when I leave the room, because the air is too cold and too blasting even on low for when I’m sitting in here. It gives me a headache. When I’m working, I use my ice bottle in a basket.

A few minutes ago, I was feeling like a swamp thing, so went and got my basket out of my bedroom. As I was putting a fresh bottle in, I thought about your crashing puters. Could be at least of all y’all’s problemos.

I’ve got my little ice bottle basket sitting next to me here at my desk with the ceiling fan spinning on low. The air wafting from by is delightful.

I’ve gone from loving Palin, to being kind of ‘meh’ about her, to where I am now: waiting expectantly for her to blow me away. I’d love for her to run and tell everyone ahead of time who her running mate will be. She could pick Perry out of the gate if he’s not running and I think she could get the nomination that way. That would be unconventional, right?

ITA! I’ve been thinking that her lower profile lately is a good thing. It’s still a long way to November 2012. All these GOPers running, getting picked over by the Laughing Stockers. What’s it good for? There aren’t any primaries for … how long?

What is the primary schedule anyway? I think I should do a graphic of it, but I’m busy with data mining Obama’s disapproval ratings today. Could use a hand with the research. Thanks!

      • Perry’s our longest serving governor, I doubt he’d be a SP VP running mate πŸ™‚ I know the two are good friends, so something certainly could be brewing…….

I’m at the point, I’d vote for a potted plant over Obama, it’s still the GOP’s election to use. Perry could be the best hope to beat him just on his big giant Texas cajones alone.
