Well,I made the sacrifice of staying up for all the speeches last week.In the end it was pleasurable and uplifting.Now its the dems’ turn to take center stage and bloviate about nothing truly relevant to anyone.Thanks to the miracle of instant communication I can wait until the next morning to glean anything of interest without the pain of having to sit through it.You look here to keep abreast of things and I do my best not to disappoint.

I do NOT understand the general assumption here that women are pro-abortion! The highest polling Pro-Abortion demo is young, single men. Big duh. They want sex without consequences.
The latest Gallup poll has 50% of Americans self-identifying as Pro-Life and only 41% as Pro-Choice. Only one in four says abortion should be legal in any and all circumstances. One in five says it should be illegal in all circumstances.
The middle ground, 52%, wants varying degrees of restriction. In other polls, the huge majority go with “only in rape, incest or life of the mother.” A bunch more would allow first trimester only. A handful would allow up to viability.
These numbers do NOT in any way, shape or form reflect the abortion extremists in charge of the DNC, the Obama “dump live born mistakes in a bucket to die” Democrats.

The left has been pushing this idea (that all women are pro-abortion) since, oh, approximately forever. It has never been true, and it’s not true now.
And how many Americans agree with Obama that babies born alive after failed abortions should be killed? How come pollsters never ask that question when they’re trying to figure out what Americans think about life issues?

You’re right. I can’t find any poll that asked this question. http://www.gallup.com/poll/1576/abortion.aspx has been asking a lot of specific abortion questions for a long time, but not that one.
The most gruesome they get is partial birth abortion.

It’s a little hard to imagine the numbers for Live Born Protection would be anything but higher than the PBA numbers. Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and Barbara Boxer voted for the Born Alive Infant Protection Act – even as Obama was voting down an identical bill in the Illinois State Senate.
Obama has attempted since 2004 to explain away these votes. If the media were anything like balanced, this would be brought up every time abortion is mentioned.

This country is swinging to Pro-Life in a big way. The largest Pro-Abortion age demographic is retirees! The graying hippie generation. They’re also the DYING hippie generation. The teachers union is having it out with Rhambo next week and threatening to strike. Even my die hard dem relatives are having a fit that their kids will not be in school again.
