As I have said many times, as a former teacher, I find the whole collective bargaining of teachers demeaning and pathetic. WE are supposed to be professionals, with college degrees and above. WHY do teachers need to pay someone like Karen Lewis a couple of hundred grand to agitate for them? They should be treated like every other profession. If they do a good job, they get a raise, if there is money to do so. If they do a lousy job, they should be canned, no questions asked.
As for all their health benefits. Did you see the front page of Drudge? Since when did obesity become a prerequisite for getting a teacher job? I only taught with ONE obese teacher. Why are there so many of them in CPS? Maybe a little less money and they will not be eating so much fast food. Can you imagine how much tax money we are spending for all the health costs for this crew?

She is a good egg though, uninformed but not a kool-aid drinking whack job. She actually listened to my extended, extensive, vociferous RANT on the subject. When I finally ran out of adrenaline and realized I’d left her kind of gobsmacked, I deftly changed the subject to Dewey Lou Poo’s impending seventh birthday later this month. Sadly, _uckworthless has been capitalizing on her war injuries since day one. She does not talk issues, just goes for the sympathy vote. She is good buddies with barry and will vote any way he asks. But when you hear her speak, she pretends she will be non partisian. What a joke! They tried running her last time against Peter Roskam, tossed her lots of money, but she still lost. She NEVER puts democrat on her campaign ads, so the republicans who are not paying attention might get sucked in. And what’s more, she has not lived in either district they put her up for a candidate.
I sure hope Walsh survives. It is going to be tough because they made sure he is in a heavily dem district now.

I think these numbers are wonderful, Pete. The Dem Convo is the last big national Rah-Rah-Obama stage in this election. From here on out, he has to go up against real men with real brains and real plans. Obama faces 3 debates with ROMNEY and Slow Joe has to go up against RYAN, which will be like shooting fish in a barrel.
In other words, these numbers are as good as Obama-Biden are likely to see.
Gallup shows a 5% shift from disapproval to approval, but my guess is it was disapprovals who went to undecided and undecideds who went to approval. IOW, they were two different groups of people, not disapprovals who were suddenly turned into Obama fans because Bill Clinton patted him on the back.
There are also a few percent that are holding out, probably for the debates. That’s what I did before I got all rah rah political paying attention. I’m fully expecting Obama to lose his temper at the debates. He’s a bumbling Uh, Uh, Uh, slow thinking political prop, not a savvy and successful business man who actually got into and out of Harvard on his own brains and hard work … and with a DOUBLE degree, while married and making babies.
We’re talking T-Ball vs. Major League here. Now add that to the debacle that the Ryan-Biden debate is sure to be … how can I say this politely without references to short busses? Hmm. Nope. I’ve got nothing.
And remember … we saw a short-term pro-Obama slide in Florida right after Ryan was nominated when Obama released a blitz of “OMG they’re going to take your Medicare away” ads. But it was short term. Ryan went to Florida, introduced his mom, explained why those Obama ads were LIES and the slide unslid.
When people find out they’ve been conned, they get angry and embarrassed. I think these folks become hardened and deaf to Obama’s lies.

And remember how McLame handed the debates to Barry on a silver platter. I remember wanting to throw something at him when he let the Liar get away with his statements. I do not think Romney is going to sit there and take it. I think he will do what Ryan did to him in the Healthcare meeting. I think Romney will pick his statements apart with facts. At least, I sure hope so. If not, third party here I come.

Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems

At above, it tells you what the reset will keep and what it will blitz. (It keeps the good stuff, like bookmarks.)
Shortcut to reset firefox.
Close all websites but Mozilla.
In Firefox File pull down menu, choose help\troubleshooting and click.
It should take you to about:support.
Once there, click on Reset Firefox.
Let it do it’s thing.
I did this and Babylon is gone now. Phew.
