Before I was hospitalized,I delivered both the Chicago Tribune and the Sun Times.I haven’t bought a paper in many years.I read them online occasionally,mostly for sports scores.I had to finally register to both websites and now they make you pay for membership to read the content.Even my own crummy hometown paper has turned their site to a for-profit website.The last throes of a dying monolith.The Koch Brothers are trying to buy some major news outlets,including the LA Times.The lefties are trying furiously to stop them.Can’t have unbiased reporting,now can we?The staff at the Times announced half of them would quit if the Kochs bought the company.Rush says they should get that in writing.

Enjoy the weekend PP. Tune into Dr. K at AM560 at 11 on Saturday morning. I had this doc over for dinner this week. He is a great guy and very inspirational.
Also, head over to the YMCA at Rockford College 9:30 Sat. morning to hear a cardiologist talk about wellness. He is a wonderful Christian man, and the seminar is free.

I would enjoy weekend editions, but I think I’m being selfish about that. Traffic is so low on Sat and Sun, I think it’s only people with no life who come here! If you get bored, now that you’re housebound too, I’ll be here. 🙂

I am trying to start getting away on the weekends to a little boat we have. It has electricity and a bed, but no internet. I think that may a good thing for me these days. I would try to catch up when I get back, but I am most always late reading here anyway.

Rough week; rough day; so I had to peek in at PoliNation to revive my spirits. Hi. Glad to visit y’all in the garden. Thanks for the Friday posts, Pete. Hadn’t seen the blind vet story from our state capital. I just love the casual way he handled it. The “candid camera” bit was amusing, and certainly elaborate, but it made me realize, somehow, I’m not as amused as I used to was by Alan Funtery. Even as a kid I thought traumatizing folks for a chuckle seemed a little weird, but maybe I had my older brothers pull too many creepy pranks and “practical jokes” on me.
And, apropos of nothing in particular but the sentiment of the times, if you’ll permit, I’d like to share with you a special half-minute with Barry.(Also on my site via http://bit.ly/ogohome – cute short link name, eh?)
