Obama holds historic phone call with Rouhani and hints at end to sanctions
President says discussion with Iranian counterpart showed ‘basis for resolution’ of dispute over Tehran’s nuclear programme
.He’ll give them nukes for a chance to look ‘Presidential” to the Kool-Aid drinkers

GUESS WHAT ROUHANI GOT AS A PARTING GIFT?
Tehran (AFP) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday brought home a 2,700-year-old Persian artifact the US administration gave him as “a special gift” to Iranians, media reports said.
Rouhani was speaking of a 7th century BC silver Persian drinking cup in the shape of a winged Griffin, a legendary creature with the head of an eagle and body of a lion.
It is reported to be worth more than a million dollars

It was not his to give, was it? Oh, it was from his private, personal collection of fine art, right?

Exactly. Meanwhile, western dignitaries get iPods with collections of O-Bozo speeches on them. I think we’re seeing a trend here.

The dollar value means something. Did Congress or whoever is suppose to approve foreign aid, approve this?

I’d like to know where he got it. Since when does a US. President have access to antiquities for gifts? Does he have a Gift Procurement Czar now? Was this a stolen artifact from the Iraqi Museum from the Gulf War timeframe? Because if so, that would be a prize with extra meaning for Iran. Just saying.

Hmmm. You should plaster this last comment all over social media, maybe Chrissy can do a graphic to plaster around. It says so much in so few words………….

Thanks, Hoot. But, seriously, you raise a very good point here. Nobody seems to care that this is almost certainly illegal and outrageous. Like you pondered, since when did we get a king with a private fine art and antiquities collection?

Lindsey Graham called a liar after tweet saying he voted to defund Obamacare
I have some disturbing news for you. This little yellow bastard will,in all likelihood,be re-elected.Here’s why:
1. it’s hard to beat an incumbent, especially one with the backing of the national party and their big-money donors
2.There are several conservative candidates looking to oppose him in next spring’s primaries. They split the vote…he wins in a walk
3. South Carolina is an ‘open primary’ state.Democrats can change party affiliation to vote for the useful idiot, then change back the day after the primary is over.

How to Lose the House Without Really Trying
The latest GOP compromise on defunding Obamacare may well lead to a midterm massacre.
During a crucial battle of the military campaign that ultimately propelled him to supreme power in Rome, Julius Caesar put himself and his outnumbered army in such a vulnerable position that he briefly considered suicide. He and most of his troops survived, however, because the man commanding the opposing force was too timid to take a tactical risk. Afterward, surprised to find himself alive and his army relatively intact, Caesar made an observation that the leadership of the GOP would do well to remember: “Today the enemy would have won, if they had a commander who was a winner.”

Senate Hair Care Services has cost taxpayers about $5.25 million over 15 years. They foot the bill of more than $40,000 for the shoeshine attendant last fiscal year. Six barbers took in more than $40,000 each, including nearly $80,000 for the head barber.
Keep in mind that there are only 100 U.S. Senators, and many of them don’t have much hair left at this point.
