I’ve been keeping up with the latest atrocities being perpetrated by skimming the news and mainly reading everything Chrissy’s been posting. IMHO,she certainly goes above and beyond. Just thought since it’s Friday I’d post some things to maybe lift your spirits a little. I’ll start posting the Grudge again in the near future. Meanwhile,take a break,have some fun.

Sorry if some are offended by this, but looking at the picture of these young women really saddens me. They are all clinically obese (one possibly prego), and that is the number one risk for breast cancer. The mother was also severely overweight.
The story says that at first chemo worked but then came back is totally bogus.
Yeah,chemo might shrink a tumor. But it leaves a body so devoid of nutrients, and the digestive tract so destroyed that cancer will come back with a vengeance if one does nothing to change the body chemistry. Standard of Cancer Care seldom involves much guidance to patients on what they need to do after chemo to get well. Those who I know who survive it, make a concerted effort to get healthy through nutrition, wt. loss and exercise.
Too bad these stories never go deeper. They always report the down side, but never talk about what others can do to stop this disease.

Text mistakenly sent to cop leads to arrest in NJ
SPARTA, N.J. — Authorities say a New Jersey man mistakenly sent a text message to a police detective to set up a drug sale and now faces charges.Authorities say a detective received the text message on his new cellphone Friday night. The sender had said he had a quarter pound of marijuana for sale and wanted to meet at a pizza parlor.Nicholas Delear Jr., of Sussex, met later that night with an undercover police officer but fled when he became suspicious. Police soon stopped his vehicle, but the 33-year-old Delear refused to consent to his vehicle being searched.Authorities obtained a warrant after a police dog detected drugs in the vehicle. They found four plastic bags containing marijuana and other paraphernalia.

The orange and black-wrapped peanut buter candy was my favorite Halloween candy.I scooted by a display of them at Wally World and it was really difficult not to grab a few bags.But I’d rather live.

Peanut butter and chocolate is a match made in HEAVEN. 🙂 Just my opinion of course LOL. But Reese’s pb cups are special to me and dh. We bought a big pack on our honeymoon, then forgot them in the car when we went to Nantucket with our bikes. We had so much fun there, we stayed til the last possible ferry to get us on the road in time to return for a friend’s wedding … if we drove all night. We barely made it into the church before the bride. LOL But, we also spent every dime we had .. literally .. so driving home we wrote a check at the toll (they took it!) and were so grateful for that giant pack of pb cups. We needed to sugar to stay awake for the drive. Dang … our anniversary is Sunday. I shoulda got some. 34 years. 🙂

I remember having a deep convo with a gf once about how important it was that a man smell right. It was on my Life Mate Check List. When I met dh, I checked off every single thing within a couple weeks. I told my gf I was kind of panicky about this and had made the list longer! LOL He was also the first guy I’d ever NOT been able to play Fantasy Wedding with. She just nodded and said, “That’s cuz it’s too close to real.” We were engaged before the month was out.

Man blames bathroom emergency for high-speed chase

LOGAN, Utah — A Utah man has been sentenced to seven days in jail after a high-speed chase that he blamed on a bathroom emergency.
Thirty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Laub told a judge Monday that he ate something that upset his stomach and was racing to get to a rest area in Logan Canyon.
The Herald Journal reports 1st District Judge Thomas Willmore called the explanation “one of the worst stories” he ever heard.
The judge pointed out that Laub passed several outhouses while he led a Utah Highway Patrol trooper on a chase last spring that reached 111 mph.
Laub, who’s from Garden City, pleaded guilty in August to failure to stop and impaired driving.

We know Obama did not win because people liked him. No one took him seriously and most Illinoisans stayed home to show the IL GOP a lesson for picking a flawed candidate and then putting Alan Keyes on the ballot. The IL GOP was a joke.

Well, I betcha didn’t name your cats after the Norse God of Mischief either! LOL … Interspecies contact can be tricky. We once had the “bright” idea (not) that the hamster and the guinea pig could be buds. Apparently, they are natural moral enemies. They almost killed each other. I was lucky to get the hamster out without getting my arm taken off in the melee.

Oh dear, that sounds awful! How odd that two such similar rodents would try to kill each other — especially when neither species is noted for being particularly belligerent. And then you see/read/hear stories about animals of very different species who become the most devoted and loving of friends — like the dog and elephant who became best buds, and the cat and owl, and other equally unlikely pairings. I always find interspecies animal friendships fascinating, for some reason.
