The biggest win was scored by former state senator and swashbuckling conservative Barry Loudermilk in the 11th District in suburban Atlanta that Rep. Phil Gingrey relinquished to run for the Senate. He placed fourth in the initial primary in May.
Loudermilk rolled up a margin of 2-to-1 over former Rep. Bob Barr, known nationally for his role as a Clinton impeachment manager in 1998 and for running as the Libertarian nominee for president in 2008.
Barr supported Eric Heinrich Holder’s nomination.Them Georgia rednecks were not impressed.

One thing that is lost for sure is much of the credibility of agency Commissioner John Koskinen, the man tapped by President Obama to restore confidence in the beleaguered IRS in the wake of the revelation that the tax agency targeted Obama’s political foes. Koskinen, who so haughtily and huffily refused to apologize and lectured lawmakers about his resume and qualifications, is going to get barbequed today. The third or fourth iteration of this email story has badly sapped his credibility as an outside reformer come to right the severely listing IRS.

Report: Thousands of Migrant Children Are No-Shows at Hearings
Thousands of illegal juvenile immigrants from Central America do not show up for their deportation hearings across the country, the Justice Department estimates, the Dallas Morning News reported.
Eighteen out of 20 unaccompanied migrant children from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador failed to turn up for their immigration hearing in Dallas one day this week, the newspaper said.
