Well, as I told Chrissy, I could not have done it without her. She made TROIKA, and I just happened to have PERS on my rack… and I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be funny if I drew another E, and then I could turn her TROIKA into PERESTROIKA… and danged if that isn’t exactly what happened. What are the odds?

Oh. Troika. Back when I played, we could only use English. Youse guyses apparently use just any old thing that sounds like a word. (ha ha) Ooo. Dowel would be a good Jotto word.

We play on Facebook SCRABBLE using the Tournament Word List. There’s no negotiating with the computer. A word is either accepted or rejected. We whine about rejects in the comments section and have a deal to play sometime IRL where the rule will be, “If I can come up with a funny enough definition for a fake word, then you will let me play it.” We practice for this future game by making up funny definitions for “words” we find on our racks. It’s a fun side game. 🙂
