First, a note…there will be no post tomorrow. I finally talked my BFF and fishing partner into taking tomorrow off. We haven’t been out more than a few times the past few years because of his work schedule and his wife and grown son like to go out in the boat as well. My beloved child bride and my family threw me a surprise birthday party (haven’t had one since I was twelve) and I promised RJ I’d get him out before school started. He said he’s never caught a catfish before, so we’re taking him on the river, where we know some good spots. Hopefully,we’ll have some luck. The reason I’m excited is I’ve never had an opportunity to do anything with just him. It’s always at a football or baseball game or a family function with a lot of people around.
My dad died when I was three and my granddad didn’t fish. I would sometimes wait all summer for one of mom’s boyfriends to take me carp fishing once. I never had a son and there are only so many opportunities to make memories while children are still young. Hopefully it will be a day he’ll remember as going fishing with grandpa. There is no price for that I would not pay.
OK… on with the dose.
There’s a lot of speculation about the Butcher’s e-mail servers containing top secret information and how she could wind up in jail. I have not taken a drink in more than 20 years, but I vow if it did happen, I’d get a bottle of Bacardi rum and proceed to get properly shitfaced. She’s the democrat nominee, so nothing will happen. It never does to the Clintons. An ordinary person (or a republican) would already be wearing an orange jumpsuit.

This is by far the most entertaining political interview I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen more than a few. Trump is so high-energy, so confident, no cue cards, no talking points, no teleprompter. I think back to Barack’s interview with O’Reilly during the Super Bowl, and Barack comes off as measured, tentative, with long pauses and no enthusiasm … a real snooze-fest compared to this.
I think Trump put a lot of meat on his policy bones here while maintaining an endearing passion.
I only saw Celebrity Apprentice for a single season, the one with Joan Rivers. The final episode came down to three deciding factors, and the poker chick had bested Joan in all three … so Trump declared (loser) Joan the winner. At that moment I decided I was done with Dishonest Trump for good.
This interview made me rethink that position.

Recipients of significant donations included the Obama Victory Fund and the Democratic National Committee. Additionally, Solazyme donated between $100,000 and $250,000 to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation.
A Congressional Research Service (CRS) report found that the Department of Defense (DOD) paid Solazyme $149 per gallon for fuel made of algal oil, costing taxpayers a total of $223,500 in 2009. The group also received a $21 million stimulus grant from Department of Energy in 2009.

The woman is actually 18.
On Tuesday morning, a self-described youth advocate and citizen journalist named Chuck Modi began tweeting pictures of those arrested as they were released from police custody.
One of Modi’s tweets is a picture of a person who appears to be the “child” that was arrested.
It seems the young lady lied about her age out of fear of being manhandled by police upon her arrest.
The woman was not identified.

Carp have large,pronounced scales and lips shaped like a bugle mouthpiece.
This is a carp.They’re bony,taste like crap(unless they’re smoked) and dark folk are fond of them.

I was feeding the ducks at Stewart Park one time when this shape slowly loomed up from the depths to snatch some bread. It was the biggest dang carp I’ve ever seen in my life. Maybe 30% bigger than the one in the photo. Scared the bejeebers out of me.
Stewart Park is in Ithaca NY at the south end of Cayuga Lake. From 1914 to 1919, Wharton Studio produced silent films from a building that I believe still stands in Stewart Park.

You know those big,fancy Japanese goldfish?They’re called Koi.They are a member of the carp family.On an issue of Tanked on the Animal Planet the client they were building an aquarium for wanted Koi.There is only one breeder in the states who raises them,and they range in price from around $300 to more than a thousand dollars….each.Carp will grow as long as they live and have enough food.They sometimes grow to be huge.

Lol Good on you, Pete. Goldfish are carp also and, yes, they will grow and grow and live 30 years … if you don’t keep them in a too small, unfiltered bowl. I raised some beauties in a 50 gallon tank, then took them to the pet store to sell to pond people. They never got out of the bag. Someone saw me come in with them and said, “I’ll take those.” :O)
