In fill disclosure, we do not watch too much network television in the bunkhouse, so we haven’t seen any previews. However, with dogged determination I slogged through a number of them on youtube and picked just a few.
In 1971, a 30-second spot cost $42,000….. this year it’s about 5 million.
The first one is actually three 30-second spots. The first one is really cute.

I used to adore Helen Mirren, but I’m afraid she’s just another actor who, upon finally getting the confidence to express her opinions, only makes it clear that she is someone you would not voluntarily choose to be seated next to at a wedding for more than a minute or two.
Her feminist ideas, alone, are enough to make me want to choke her, and I don’t even know her. This ad makes me want to drink. And drive. A lot.

I like the Doritos ones the best, I think. Thanks, Pete. I never watch the Super Bowl so now I will know when people start talking about the ads. I won’t have to feel so ignorant! 🙂
