Tenth Day of Christmas

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Grant us the graces we need to be obedient to Your holy law. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

AMERICAN HISTORY: To celebrate the Sesquicentennial, I am going to bring little bits of our amazing history into the Polination garden, beginning with the tax stamps that started the American Revolution. CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Vvhfw9emhk4 to see them.

EVERYDAY HEROES: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/w2mWrc2LG-A [1:08] to learn what Chicagoans do each year to raise money for the Paralympics.

MINNESOTA: [7:20] – Nick Shirley, the YouTuber and independent journalist who visited empty Somali daycare centers, says he and his family are receiving death threats both in-person and online. Some threaten to “Kirk” him.

At 10 am on January 7, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform will hold a hearing entitled, “Oversight of Fraud and Misuse of Federal Funds in Minnesota: Part I.”

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, Raise up righteous leaders who fear You and love us; guide them for the welfare of our land. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

TRUMP: [6:54] – The Trafalgar poll he cites was conducted 12/26/25 – 12/27/25 with 1098 “Likely General Election Voters” and a Margin of Error of 2.9%.

Strongly Approve: 46.7% + Approve: 3.5% = 50.2% Total Approval

Strongly Disapprove 37.5% + Disapprove: 7.1% = 44.6% Total Disapproval

Rasmussen’s numbers on January 2 were significantly different. They come from a 5 day rolling average covering 1,500 “Likely Voters” (300 per day) and have a Margin of Error of 2.5%. IOW, a slightly larger sample with a slightly better MOE.

Strongly Approve 29% + Approve 15% = 44% Total Approval

Strongly Disapprove 44% + Disapprove 10% = 54% Total Disapproval

The sizable gaposis in these results leaves me boggled. So far as I am aware, when one looks at how well pre-election polls have matched actual election outcomes, Trafalgar and Rasmussen have been among the most accurate of all political pollsters. So what’s going on?!

GRAMMY NOTES: When Mama Buzz was 4 yo, we were shopping and she demanded I buy her something or other. I told her I didn’t have money for that. She put her hands on her hips and snarled, “Well, go to the machine and GET SOME!”

One response to “Tenth Day of Christmas

  1. Before ATMs, if Mom said she didn’t have money for something the kid was demanding she buy, the kid would say “The write a check!” How times have changed…
