DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, May we not be happy until our hearts rest in You. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
BACK THE BLUE: “I was pulled over Wednesday morning by a TN State Trooper. When he came up to the car he asked ‘Why are the two boys in the back seat not in car seats?’ My answer was the two little boys were my foster sons who I had just got the night before. I showed him paper work and explained to him that when I got them they had the clothes they were wearing and that is about it. No carseat, no toys, no coats, and so on. He was very nice to the kids and to me. He asked me for my phone number. I gave it to him. His wife called me and asked about the boys. This morning Officer Tidwell met me in Waverly, him and his wife had purchased gifts for the boys. Not just the two boys in the back seat but, their older brother too.
“I cannot thank him enough for the kindness he has shown these three boys. I never asked him for anything. He and his wife acted out of the kindness of their hearts. He showed these boys that there are very nice cops out there and I hope he has left a lasting impression on them that cops are good. The boys have been telling everyone that ‘cops are nice.’ He has made their day. You hear way too much negative stuff now days so, here is some good news for you all.”

BORDER: Federal agents found and shut down a nearly 3,000-foot underground passageway that connects Tijuana to San Diego. The tunnel, which was completely outfitted with lighting, electrical wiring, ventilation system, and a track system for transporting large amounts of contraband, was being used by the cartels to move drugs from Mexico into the U.S.
CATHOLIC: On 17 June 2002, Sr. Miriam Michael Stimson (1913 – 2002) died. She was an American Roman Catholic religious sister and a chemist. She was the second woman to lecture at the Sorbonne and taught at Siena Heights University. She is noted for her work on spectroscopy. She played a role in the history of understanding DNA.
CLIMATE: While this caliber of heat is not unprecedented for this time of year, it is something to take seriously. We’re going to stay inside with the a/c.
GAVIN NEWSOM: He occasionally tries to present a moderate version of himself, but his record shows he is “one of America’s most radical, destructive politicians [who] has trampled parental rights, championed the transgender mutilation of children, and taken pro-abortion advocacy to a sickening extreme.”
NATIONAL DEBT: Remember back when Barack Obama criticized George Bush for letting the debt run up to $9 trillion? And remember how the minute he got into office, he and his Democrat cronies added an entire trillionmore to the budget?!
SPOTLESS: At Tennessee’s Brights Zoo, an extraordinary event has caught the world’s attention: the birth of a giraffe with no spots at all, an extremely rare occurrence in nature. This is the first ever to be photographed.

I just want to note that Jesus presented His back to the scourge, not so we could be “f***ing weird”, but so we could repent and be saved.
Yesterday, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the Biden coverup, tore into former President Biden’s presidency. At the very beginning, the ranking Democrat, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), made a speech about what a political clown show the hearing was. Then he and I’m guessing his aide(s) walked out. So far as I can tell, the only other Democrat who participated was Senator Welch, who used his time the same way Durbin did, which was to bitch about the fact that the hearing was even happening. Nothing he said addressed the critical issue of who was actually signing all those executive orders, laws, pardons, etc.
Below is the full hearing; I set it to start at the beginning of the hearing.
Below are some clips for all y’all who don’t want to sit through the whole two hours. I listed them in no particular order.
Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) played a supercuts video of Democrats stating, unequivocally, that then-President Biden was at the top of his game.
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) points out the absence of Democrats at the hearing, then brings more receipts about their coverup. “They lied; that’s why they’re not here.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made an impassioned speech about how important this issue is. “The Biden administration may go down in history as the most brazen constitutional fraud in American history.”
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) questioned witnesses about the 25th Amendment and related issues. Personally, I don’t think Biden has neuro-degenerative disease. From what I’ve read, the drugs used to treat the kind of cancer Biden has is known to cause the physical stumbling and dementia-like behaviors we all saw.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Thank you for the saints who remind us often of Your truths. Help us to embrace this one on a daily basis. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
AGT: He’s making all the sounds! [4:15] – It you want to skip the chit chat, watch from :50 to 2:22.
ANTI-CATHOLIC PROPAGANDA: Shame on the media outlets who published this slanderously inaccurate story THIS WEEK! The New York Post (I expect better of you people!) headlined it “796 dead babies found hidden in septic tank at home run by nuns: ‘Dirty little secrets.‘” AP wrote about “a reckoning in an overwhelmingly Roman Catholic country with a history of abuses in church-run institutions.”
The Bon Secours Sisters who operated the Tuam Mother and Baby Home in County Galway, Ireland, buried many of those who died on their property. The exhumations are the result of a local historian finding death certificates, but no burial records, for 796 infants and young children who had died at the home.
Three things must be noted. One is that the historian’s discovery was initially report in 2014 … eleven years ago … and was declared a hoax by Forbes … also in 2014! Second, the number of deaths is not unusual, given the rigors of the Great Depression, World War II, and the lack of antibiotics. And finally, the little ones were neither dumped nor murdered and hidden in the sewer system. They died of natural causes and were buried; some were interred inside a burial chamber the sisters had built within a decommissioned septic tank.
IOW, the only “scandalous” part is that the graves were not individually marked, which I, personally, do not find all that surprising. Charitable facilities have always operated on thin-to-non-existent budgets; if you had to choose between food and heat for living children or grave markers for dead ones, which would you go with? There is also the possibility that many of the unwed mothers may been unwilling to have their sins displayed on grave markers.

BLUE COLLAR WAGES: Due to falling inflation, tough border enforcement, and Trump’s pro-worker policies, blue collar wages are up nearly 2%, the strongest growth in 60 years.
CHICOMS: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that President Trump has secured a new U.S.-China trade deal to rebalance global manufacturing, slash China’s tariff rate to 10%, and restore American dominance in precision manufacturing.
FBI: Director Patel has given congressional leaders evidence that the Chinese government created fake U.S. driver’s licenses as part of a plot to create voter identities for Chinese residents living in the United States so they could vote for Biden. This would be the same Chinese government that funneled money to the Biden crime family in exchange for political favors at the highest level of our government.

JUSTICE: The Supremes voted 6-3 to uphold Tennessee’s ban on medical interventions for minors who think they’re trans. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion. The usual three – Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson – dissented.
MIKE ROWE’S MOM: [9:04] – So worth your time! ROFL
MOSTLY PEACEFUL: Kevin Krebs attended an anti-Trump “No Kings” rally armed with a fully-loaded Sig Sauer P329 handgun, three loaded Sig Sauer handgun magazines, six loaded Assault Rifle magazines, an M9 bayonet knife, a pocket knife, pepper spray, a ski mask and gloves. His brother Alex said Kevin was at the rally to support its message and, allegedly, he took the armory to “protect himself.” This begs the question … why did police find a pipe bomb at Kevin’s home? And why is he out on bail?!
QUEENS: After some lady fell on the sidewalk at 77th Street and 19th in Queens, she sued the property owner and the city for failing to maintain the surface. The city responded by declaring they did not actually own that sidewalk; the owner of the building did. Therefore, he was solely responsible for maintenance, trash removal, and liability for injuries.
The property owner did some research and discovered the city was right. He does own the land upon which the city built the sidewalk, as well as part of the street, including ten parking spaces, without buying it from him. Since the city held firm on making him financially responsible for the land they stole, he decided to fence it to protect himself from liability.
The city is trying to levy fines for his fence and the neighbors are riled about the loss of those ten free parking spaces. But the property owner is holding firm. I’m on his side. Considering all the whining Democrats do about land that once upon a long time ago “belonged” to Native Americans and all the demanding they do for taxpayers to provide “reparations” to people whose long-dead ancestors were slaves and all the taxpayer moneys they give to illegals … surely, the Democrat-run city ought to be more than happy to reimburse this guy!
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and we praise You for Your Fatherhood and that of all the men who have nurtured us in our lives. Please bless them and, for those in Purgatory, please grant them a Father’s Day vacation from their suffering. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

BUH BYE: On May 30, the Supremes ruled that a Biden administration-era parole program could be ended under the Trump administration. CALIFORNICATION: CLICK https://x.com/WallStreetApes/status/1933243738933113049 [:54] to see how committed liberal Democrats are to saving the planet. – I may live in one of the few places where the local Democrats walk the walk on this issue. We have to pay for trash pick up, but recycle pick up is free. They come on different days with different trucks and deliver to different locations. The recycle people swore to me that they really do sell everything they can.
DUMB-O-CRATS: “It’s soooo stupid.” [8:05 ] – This was actually the least distressing of all the terrible news this week. Keep praying, my garden buddies. It’s not only good for you, it’s powerful. And, for most of us, it is the best we can offer.
EUTHANASIA: My mother once told me that if we ever legalized abortion, euthanasia would be next. In “compassionate” Canada, where it’s cheaper for the government-run health care system to kill than to heal, a disabled Canadian woman with PTSD from childhood abuse called a mental health and suicide crisis support hotline for help fighting her suicidal thoughts. The operator said, “Well, MAiD [Medical Assistance in Dying] is a legit and legal option. Maybe it’s something you should consider. The medical system seems to be failing you. And you are never going to get the opiate pain medication that you think you need.”
GOVERNOR HAIR GEL: Last Thursday, Gavin excitedly announced a federal judge had ordered control of the National Guard in California to be taken away from Trump and given to him on Friday. Later the same day, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals granted Trump’s motion to stay. Trump 1, Gavin 0.
Also on Thursday, Trump signed a trio of congressional resolutions ending California’s restrictive rules for diesel engines and mandates on vehicle sales. “Under the previous administration, the federal government gave left-wing radicals in California dictatorial powers to control the future of the entire car industry all over the country, all over the world, actually. They approved Governor Gavin ‘Newscum’s’ ridiculous plan to impose a 100% ban on all new gas-powered cars within a very short period of time. Think of this, you can’t buy any other car except an electric powered car, and in California they have blackouts and brownouts. They don’t have enough electricity right now.” Trump 2, Gavin 0.
IMMIGRATION: Rich wannabe immigrants can now pay $5 million to register for the fast track to citizenship. At least 15,000 people have already signed up. Commerce Secretary Lutnick says the $5 million ‘Trump Card’ could potentially generate $1 trillion for the nation.
INTIMIDATION: Leftie SF Gate described it as “two senators in quiet conversation.” Yeah, no. Feinstein’s body language is right out of the Democrats’ historical playbook. It was Democrats who forced Native Americans to march the Trail of Tears. It was Democrats who went to war rather than free their slaves. It was Democrats who, having lost the war, instituted segregation and Jim Crow laws to keep them uppity n*****s under their thumbs. It was Democrats who wore white hoods to lynchings and it is Democrats today wearing black bloc to “mostly peaceful protests.”
MILITARY: On Saturday, thousands of soldiers and dozens of military vehicles paraded through the streets of Washington to celebrate the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army.
NO KINGS MARCHES: [5:39] – Reportedly, the vast majority of the people who attended these marches were retired middle class white people. IOW, the same sheeple who were conned by anti-American psyops to protest Vietnam and climate change. This particular issue is especially stupid. Trump is far more law abiding than Obama or Biden were.
TARGET: Remember the 2011 Tucson shooting and how the Left blamed Sarah Palin’s “targeting” of Gabrielle Gifford’s congressional seat on a campaign map for “inciting” the violence?
So this happened in Montana. I’m on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled over by a police officer.
I am native American and my friend that was with me is black. Just saying.
Both brake lights decided to go out this time.
As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said, “Don’t worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out.”
So I’m immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month.
So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.
He looked at me like and told me to pop the trunk.
He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn’t come on.
So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.
Then worked on the wiring under the dash.
He could’ve easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role, and into mechanic role, and human role to make sure I was straight.
DAILY PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we ask for You to be at the center of all our families. Help us to pray for Your help in working through our challenges and to remember that love is patient and kind. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
DOGE: Over the last 3 days, agencies have terminated 90 wasteful contracts saving We the Taxpayers $200 Million. These included two DEI contracts, one at NASA for “integrating earth observations toward advancing equitable resilience to geo-hazards in a changing climate” ($911,000) and the other at HHS for “essentials in equity” via “innovative modeling and policy analysis interactive tools” ($4.6 Million).
FAITH: Best comment – “Want to know what makes the enemy mad? Praising God in the midst of turmoil.” [4:31] – Israel and Iran are trading bombs. Trump told CNN’s Dana Bash Iran’s hardline negotiators are now dead. Bash asked, “Does that mean Israel got them?” Trump replied, “Well, they didn’t die of COVID.”
LIFE: [6:58] – In 2009, Cardinal Francis George spoke about abortion at a Parish Leadership conference. (Reminder: I mentioned Cardinal George in yesterday’s post.)

GRAMMY NOTES: Feeling a little weepy-joy over this e-note from my daughter – “I am in awe at how wonderful your art class for the kids was. Every time we go somewhere, I learn another lesson from Grammy’s art class. They remember so much of what you taught them and can relay the history so well! It’s quite amazing – I think that is more than any other class they’ve ever taken.” (Graphic from my “Early Middle Ages” art history lesson.)
I was very moved by what Christine Niles said in the video I posted previously and below, so I copied the pertinent part of the transcript and cleaned it up so I could re-read and share it.
The following from Christine Niles begins at the 24:00 mark. I am adding graphics to break up the text, because I believe it makes multiple paragraphs of text easier to visually scan and mentally process on a digital screen.
“I know people say … Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo, … is a product of the Chicago machine. Very, very huge differences here. First of all, Prevost was closer to Cardinal Francis George, who was known to be a very holy Orthodox defender of the faith in Chicago. He was closer to Cardinal Francis George also as a priest.
“[Prevost] was formed under Father Dudley Day, who had close associations with a traditionalist parish, Saint John Cantius, and Father Day, according to multiple people who knew him, said that he was probably one of the holiest, most devout, orthodox priests that they had ever met. He was an Augustinian. He had his own confessional at Saint John Cantius. So this was the man who helped form Prevost and actually helped to enroll him in the Augustinians.
“And then during Cardinal Bernardin’s reign in Chicago, Prevost was actually in Peru. You know, he spent 20 years in Peru. So he just wasn’t really around during Bernardin’s time in Chicago. So I don’t think it’s fair to say that Prevost is a product of the Chicago machine, the way that Archbishop Casey is now.
“Casey was ordained by Cardinal Joseph Bernardin. Anybody who knows about Bernardin’s reign. I’m not going into all the details here, but it’s just scandalous. Utterly scandalous. Accused by numerous men, including seminarians, of sexual assault. Just a scandalous. You know, when he died, they actually had the Windy City Gay Chorus sing at his funeral. Okay, just anyway, this was the man who ordained him.
“And not just that, Casey was appointed to head Chicago’s Casa Jesus. From 1998 to 2003, he served as associate director and then as rector, so he was there for a total five years leading and forming these men. And during that time there were homosexual scandals, cancer. Casa Jesus was a house of formation founded in 1987 by Cardinal Bernadin for Latin American seminarians.
“They would go down to Latin America, various Latin American countries, and they would recruit seminarians there for Chicago. But during the entire time of his existence, there were so many homosexual scandals to it. And these were not just vague rumors, allegations, these were actually reported publicly in the Secular News. And there’s so many, so many details. I mean, so many stories. I’m not going to go into all the details here.
If you want to learn more, just go to my website @ https://stellamaris.media/. I published an article titled Priest Porn Scandal in Cincinnati marred by Bishop’s Falsehoods @https://stellamaris.media/f/priest-porn-scandal-in-cincinnati-marred-by-bishops-falsehoods. I go into the history of Casa Jesus. Some of the major homosexual scandals there, but especially the one that took place in 2015, 2016, which led to his use finally being shut down. It was quietly shut down in 2016 by Cardinal Cupich because the rector there, Octavio Munoz, he was busted for homosexual child porn found on his laptop. He was charged and he was convicted.
“Please keep in mind, he was rector for seven years of Casa Jesus. He would regularly go down to Latin America and recruit seminarians. This was the man who helped form these souls for seven years. Busted for child porn. Now serving his time. So 2016, it gets shut down after nearly 30 years in operation. But the point is that Father Robert, Father Robert Casey, now Archbishop Robert Casey, was rector of Casa Jesus for years, and during that time there was a gay subculture there, and he refuses to discuss his time there. … And now he’s in charge of the souls in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. And as I have already pointed out, his tenure has started out in a disastrous way. …
“When a bishop uses his sacred office, his spiritual authority to shame Catholics into silence, Catholics were scandalized and expressing sincere concerns over the behavior of a priest. When a bishop does that, that’s textbook spiritual abuse. I’ve seen it again and again and again, especially as an investigative journalist who’s reported on clergy sex abuse cover up. I’ve seen it again and again, and it’s disgusting and it’s sick and it’s abuse of the bishops office. Priests do it too. Many times. I’ve heard from whistleblowers or from victims who want to go report something. ‘Oh, you can’t do that. That’s a sin of detraction. That’s a sin of detraction. You’re sinning. You shouldn’t be revealing these things. It’s a sin.’ Spiritual abuse.
“But all of this is why we need to pray for Pope Leo. We need to pray for him. He’s got heavy burdens. He’s got a lot of work cut out for him. Pray that he has the wisdom, courage, and strength to clean house. Remember, Pope Benedict asked us to pray for him at the beginning of his pontificate. ‘Pray that I do not flee for fear of the wolves.’ How many of us actually prayed for him? He resigned.
“Pray for Pope Leo that he has the strength to clean house, and do so with fearlessness and courage. You know, you read about stories like this. You hear about stories like this, scandals like this, in which the bishop himself is possibly implicated in covering up for sexual misconduct. And you realize the church has a long way to go in being purged and purified of this filth.
“Now, one question I get asked a lot by people after hearing about these terrible things happening in the church, these scandals is okay, ‘Well, we can pray for the Pope. Obviously, but what can we actually do? What can we, as laity do to help turn this ship around? Well, Pope Leo actually gives us an answer. He said something significant and beautiful in his sermon for the commemoration of Mary, mother of the church, over the weekend. You know how how do you help the church? How do you help the Pope?
This is what he said. ‘The Holy See is holy as the church is holy in her original core. And the very fabric of her being. The Apostolic See thus preserves the holiness of its roots while being preserved by them. But it is no less true that it also lives in the holiness of each of its members. Therefore, the best way to serve the Holy See is to strive for holiness, each according to his particular state of life and the work entrusted to him or her.’
“What does this mean? It means we Christians are all part of the Mystical Body of Christ, and what we do affects others in the body of Christ. There’s no such thing as private sin because your sin affects others, whether you know it or not, whether you see it or not, it has a ripple effect in the body of Christ. It affects others for good or for ill. Just like the good things that you do, the holy things that you do also affect the body of Christ for good. Your sin affects the body of Christ for ill and only those with a spiritual view of things understand this. You don’t see the world in terms of the spiritual if you only see us as autonomous individuals, each doing our own thing, disconnected from everybody else. …
“God actually does want to reunite all of us into a single family unity matters, and it’s the message of Pope Leo. I’ve said this before, he’s the Pope of unity, and he said in numerous homilies and addresses, try not to demonize the other. Try to reach out and try to understand the other. Don’t make it about us versus them. But remember that the person on the other side, the other side of the political spectrum, theological spectrum, whatever that is a human being created the image of God endowed with dignity.
“Now, we don’t always act that way. Obviously, we can act very badly. We don’t act in conformity with our human nature, which is stamped with divinity. But even when we behave badly, even when we give way to evil urges and commit terrible crimes, we should try to resist the temptation to demonize such people. … Yes, of course, … they have to take responsibility. Nobody saying that they shouldn’t. But very often these people are in the grip of the evil one. They’re in the grip of Satan, who exists, who is real, an actual, real spiritual being. Which is why these people need prayers. Prayers to be set free from whatever evil spiritual forces are oppressing them, driving them to behave badly. … Some of them, quite frankly, I think, are partially possessed. They’re enslaved to evil, and God desires that they be freed from the grip of evil.
“It is why, after all, Christ came to earth to become man, to become one of us, to suffer on our behalf, to free us from our slavery to sin, and open the gates of heaven for us. This includes the worst sinners among us. He didn’t come to call the righteous, but the sick, so he came to call the lost the hopeless cases. God is constantly like a good, loving and merciful father, reaching out to the lost, bidding them come back, come back, turn back, repent. Allow Him to heal, heal them, transform them, sanctify them.
“You know, in the history of Christianity, the worst sinners have sometimes become the greatest saints. I did an episode on this. So this is why we should never lose hope for the salvation of others, no matter how wretched their lives may be, but also why we should try to resist the temptation to demonize others, because there are dark forces involved who wish to enslave us to sin, and to keep us there forever. Forever divorced from God, forever separated from God. That is the ultimate victory for Satan over souls.
“But Christ loves us and he wishes to help break free. Help us break free from that so he can heal us and ultimately bring us to be with him in heaven forever. That is the goal. Eternal union with God. It’s what God desires of all of us, without exception. And yes, even for those bishops who lie and cover up and commit spiritual abuse, even them, in fact, they need our prayers most of all, because if they don’t repent, they’re facing the most fearful judgment of all.”
