Even if this shark doesn’t…

To see Kirstin running away from James O’Keefe and to get the back story, go to Rebel Pundit.

And to see lots more graphics, including one by James, himself, go to iOTWreport. First posted at Blog of MonteCristo. The best one might be this one from BigFurHat depicting Kirstin, the Democrat Party director for Louisiana, and Mary Landrieu driving their car off a cliff as Thelma and Louise. That’s especially appropriate today, since both of them are losing the Louisiana Senate run-off going on now.

In Case You Missed it this Morning: Orion Test Launch was Flawless
This NASA photo shows the view from the Orion vehicle looking back at Earth during its flight toward a peak altitude of 3600 miles away from the planet.

Watch the video of the launch here:
The Daily Caller: NASA’s new Orion spacecraft successfully set out on its first maiden voyage shortly after 7 a.m. Friday, embarking on a test flight higher above the planet than any manned spacecraft has been in more than four decades. Orion did two orbits. The early dawn launch was executed flawlessly, launching NASA into what the agency described as “the beginning of the Mars era.”
Orion has so far performed all of its mission objectives, including jettisoning its emergency-abort system; firing its second rocket stage into an orbit and a peak altitude of 3,604 miles above the Earth (14 times higher than the International Space Station); separating from its crew module and the second stage of its Delta IV Heavy rocket; and passing through the Van Allen radiation belts surrounding Earth, testing the crew module’s resistance to heavy radiation the craft will experience on deep space missions. Inspector General Finds All Remaining Lois Lerner Emails … Right Where They Were Supposed to Be

The emails were located on IRS backup servers, where they were expected to be. Thank goodness for those “expert forensic analysts.” See story at Fox News.

Return of Ten Buck Friday: Because Mary Landrieu Still Needs a Little Pushing out the Door

Ten Buck Friday was a success in seeing a majority of Republicans elected to the Senate and Harry Reid being relegated back to the Recycling Bin of History.
But there is one Senate race still undecided in Louisiana and that’s our man Bill Cassidy against Mary “I live in Washington, D.C. but I list my residence as my parents’ basement in LA so I can vote here” Landrieu.
A runoff means more campaigning, more advertising and more expenses. While it is true that the DSCC has officially withdrawn their ad buys for their dubious candidate, I’m sure there will be a host of surrogates trying to raise money for poor Mary, so she doesn’t have to go out and get a real job. (And maybe really move in with her parents this time!)
So, I’m sure there will be tons of breathless fundraising emails about how Republicans eat babies and that’s why the want to ban all forms of birth control, and, BTW, did you know they want to replace the national anthem with Tony Orlando’s “Knock Three Times”? Crazy!
All of the sudden, after sitting on her hands for six years, Mary Landfill is a crusader for the Keystone XL pipeline. Not for getting it passed necessarily, but for bring it to a vote that she hopes will not sustain her president’s veto.
Let me congratulate all of you for kicking Harry Reid’s keister to the curb. Well done! And, unlike most politicians, I hate to keep coming back to you for money, so I promise, this is the last time!
Think of the nice warm schadenfreude feeling you got when Harry Reid was demoted. Now think of how warm and fuzzy you’ll feel going into the holidays, if we give Mary Landrieu her just deserts as well?
Let’s go the the well one last time before the holidays start taking up our time and energy, before the December runoff, and give an early present to Bill Cassidy (and yourself) of a larger majority in the US Senate.
Think how much happier Barack Obama will be at the prospect of governing in a bi-partisan manner. Actually, think of how much damage from the last six years needs to be undone over Barack Obama’s vetoes and objections.
Just ten more bucks. It’s what we honorary Koch brothers do.
You can contribute to Bill here.

Tree Mugger

I don’t know if this mule deer was still hurting after losing one of his antlers in a fight, but he sure helped himself to the medicine cabinet in our front yard this morning. It is said that the inner bark of the aspen tree has analgesic properties, and may even be the source of the name Aspirin. Whatever the reason, this young buck trashed our aspen tree pretty good while I watched, and he then proceeded to lick the inner bark and eat a few of the shavings. I hope it did him some good. The tree will probably die now, but they never live too long, anyway, so it’s not too big a deal. Meanwhile, my dog slept through the whole thing. Lazy mutt. *sigh*

How are the #ShirtStorm Feminists Doing in their Twitter Crusade?
Um, not well. Near the beginning of the conflict that has played out, about two days ago, one of the principal feminists behind the storm, Dr. Janet Stemwedel, a Philosophy professor in San Francisco, wrote up a brief bit of propaganda on “Storify” for “science guys” to help them understand what was going on and what was at stake. If women like Dr. Stemwedel represent most women, as she claims with some authority, then you would expect her Storify blurb, which has been prominently featured on the very active #shirtstorm and #shirtgate hashtag threads for two days, to have about a 50% favorability rating in terms of “likes” accumulated; perhaps more if men support her thesis, as well. Let’s see how it’s doing.

At the time of this writing, 4 of the over 6000 viewers “liked” her little visual presentation about how academic interpretations of “women’s experiences” should drive policy on just about everything. By my calculation, that’s a percentage of… oh dear… 0.06%. That’s essentially zero. More than the likely number of accidental clicks. In my limited blogging experience, I have never seen a comment or an opinion by any troll who is intentionally trying to upset people and who is viewed by 6000 people get fewer than dozens of “likes.” Nobody knows why, but even the vilest internet trolls get more likes than this. This message is profoundly unpopular. If you want to know why, you can go to her Twitter feed here and see if you can figure out why she is still employed in academia and allowed to claim that she represents women everywhere.
