The more time I spend away from the toxic waste dump the more difficult it is to wade back into it.

My trip with RJ last Friday went really well. We caught a variety of fish, including largemouth and smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and he caught is first walleye. He wanted to keep it, but it was about 3″ too short to be legal.

On Saturday, I watched RJs baseball game and yesterday was Big Sis’ first game of her summer volleyball league.

I enjoy my beautiful grandchildren so much, it’s difficult to consider the violence, the anger, the lies and the blatant hypocrisy that is American politics today.

The one takeaway from the Comey hearings last week was that he was perfectly willing to lie for Loretta Lynch and Hillary Clinton, but NOT tell the truth for Donald Trump. There were a lot of people, including yours truly, that felt Trump should have canned him, along with every other influential member of Obama’s regime.

The president got some bad advice from Priebus, among others, and he has suffered for it as the leaks and the sabotage of his agenda has gone on from day one. The latest is that he is considering firing special counsel Robert Mueller. He never should have given in to the Democrats and appointed anybody. Mueller is a close friend of Comey and his investigative team is stacked with former Obama operatives.

According to Michael Isikoff, writing in 2006, the FBI (then headed by Mueller) and an unnamed “senior Department of Justice official” were advised in October 2003 that Armitage was the man who leaked Plame’s identity – and yet two months later, upon his appointment to be deputy attorney general, James Comey appointed his friend Patrick Fitzgerald to investigate the leak. It’s hard to believe he didn’t at the time know full well who the leaker was.

Professor Jacobson at Legal Insurrection indicates that Comey’s testimony suggests that Mueller is already going beyond the narrow mandate of Acting Attorney General Rosenstein and considering whether the president’s discussion with him about General Flynn constitutes “obstruction.”

Robert Mueller, if he is going to consider the alleged obstruction of justice asserted by James Comey,  should not be the prosecutor or investigator in this because he is friendly with a key witness, James Comey.  So that’s what I meant when I said ‘friends should not be investigating friends.’  And Robert Mueller, if he is considering Trump’s asserted obstruction of justice, cannot and should not be the investigator on this case.”

Three of the five lawyers have donations in FEC records. They gave overwhelmingly to Democrats, totaling more than $53,000 since 1988.

James Quarles, whom Mueller brought over from his old firm, WilmerHale, has given nearly $33,000 to political campaigns over the years. He gave money to Democratic presidential candidates Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, John Kerry, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

So, now the special counsel is a close friend (mentor/mentee relationship) with the star witness, who by his own admission leaked the memos at least in part to engineer the appointment of a special counsel. Only in Washington. You can’t make this stuff up.”

This Stinks

Rush is fond of saying ‘If it’s good for democrats, it’s bad for America.’ Such was the case yesterday when Puerto Rico voted to become the 51st state. It has to be ratified by congress, but I have faith that backstabbing scum like Ryan, Kinzinger, McCain, Collins, and Graham will join the democrats in a spirit of “bipartisanship.” Only 23% of the population voted and it was 97% in favor of statehood. Hugo Chavez never got 97%. The unemployment rate is 45% and the residents live off taxpayer dollars. They just defaulted on the federal loans they got and declared bankruptcy.

WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IS THIS: WITH A POPULATION OF 3.5 MILLION, PUERTO RICO WOULD LIKELY HAVE 5 CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICTS AND TWO SENATORS. EVERY LAST ONE WOULD BE A WELFARE-SUCKING, BRIBE-TAKING DEMOCRAT. THAT’S WHAT THE DEMS ARE HOPING FOR.

Puerto Rico will now put its “Tennessee plan” into action, meaning its governor will choose two senators and five representatives to go to Washington, D.C., to request statehood.

President Trump signaled during his presidential campaign that he is open to Puerto Rico officially becoming a state.

Puerto Rico previously voted in favor of becoming a state in 2012, but statehood opponents said the voter turnout was not high enough to accurately reflect will of the Puerto Rican people. Some fear that they will make the same case this time around.

At the time of reporting, over 97% of voters chose statehood. The referendum is “non-binding” and would only move forward if Congress approved of it, which most likely will not happen considering the island’s debt of over $70 billion and its 45% poverty rate.

If granted statehood, Puerto Rico would be granted access to federal funds and in that same breath would be the same as any other U.S. State.

Obama cut 20 years off of this scumbag’s prison sentence and set him free 3 days before Donald Trump was inaugurated.
Parade organizers initially tried to honor Lopez Rivera with an official award, but a mass pull out by corporate sponsors and key regular attendees over that move caused Lopez Rivera to decline the honor. However, Lopez Rivera was highlighted just by riding on the front display that moved down 5th Avenue.
“I feel good about being here,” Lopez Rivera said to reporters as he exited a van to enter the parade. He pounded his chest yelling, “Que viva Puerto Rico!”
“This parade is for the Puerto Rican public,” he added.
Bottom line is that these politicians marched with and honored a sworn terrorist whose faln attacked and murdered in our city. That is unforgivable. These politicians must politically pay for their betrayals.”
Puerto Rico has a poverty rate of 45 percent, 12.4 percent unemployment, and 86 percent of residents do not speak English in the home, but the island receives $22 billion in federal subsidies. The top income tax rate is 4 percent and residents are exempt from paying $2 billion in federal income taxes. That explains why 61 percent of residents voted for statehood in 2012, but nothing happened.

Me and My R.J.

The day is finally here. My little man and I are headed up north this morning. He stayed overnight last night and grandma taught him how to play her favorite game, Yahtzee. I was out on a local lake, an old stone quarry that was converted into a public park with my long-time fishing friend. They only allow kayaks, canoes and boats with electric trolling motors, so we could access areas shore fishermen couldn’t reach. After three hours sleep I’m off to deliver my papers and get ready for my adventure.

Unless you’ve been in Siberia and just got back this morning, you’re aware that the Jim Comey Show is on today. The networks are desperate to get something, anything, on Trump. After 10 months and counting, they refuse to accept there’s no “there” there. One network is pre-empting “All My Children” and the others are doing cut-ins. I remember when there were only 3 stations and Granny would be livid when they interrupted ‘her stories’ because the president was addressing the nation.

There are threads with the latest popping all over, so it makes no sense to post much until after all is said and done.

What’s Really Important

There is a lot going on in the state of world affairs, to be sure. Terrorists in London, the Comey hearings, the GA-6th debate, etc. While these may be important, they pale in comparison to an upcoming event Friday morning. I booked a guided fishing trip months ago with a friend, his son, and my R.J. I had no idea which lake we were going to and he won’t answer his cell phone. The old lady at the bait shop was of little help when I called, she only said: ‘Where do you want to go?’ Walworth County, Wisconsin, has numerous lakes and I assumed he would decide. Apparently not. I chose Lake Delavan and she gave me directions to one of the three boat launches on the lake. I’m getting a little obsessive, but I don’t want anything to go wrong since my grandson has looked forward to this for months. Fishing with him is one of the few real joys in my life anymore.

Now onto the crap.

The Washington establishment and media elite has gone into a full-blown craze over a Senate hearing on Thursday featuring fired FBI Director James Comey.

And while the media continued to hype the hearing, some began expressing worry the hearing would not live up to the hype.

The Senate Intelligence Committee hearing is slated to begin at 10 a.m. eastern and begin with opening statements from the chairman and vice chairman of the committee. Comey will then deliver an opening statement, and senators will have the opportunity to question Comey, with multiple rounds of questions expected. The hearing is expected to last hours. The closed hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. eastern.

The situation between Mr. Sessions and Mr. Trump has grown so tense that the attorney general told Mr. Trump in recent weeks that he needed the freedom to do his job and that he could resign if that was what was wanted, according to the two people who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal White House matters. Mr. Trump did not take him up on the offer.

A spokesman for Mr. Sessions declined to comment. A White House spokeswoman did not respond to an email seeking comment.

They Just Won’t Go Away: Michelle Obama Trashes Trump at Apple Conference

The last time we saw Michelle Obama, she was flaunting her poor fashion sense in Italy.  This week the former First Lady was a surprise guest at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in California.  She delivered a fireside chat where she trashed President Trump over global warming junk science and his temporary travel ban from failed Islamist states.

Michelle Obama: “I think my message earlier was, you know, think about that higher purpose. Because we are at a time in this country when we need problem solvers out there who are committed who believe in this country who believe in the value of diversity and believe in, you know, the value of immigrants, and believe that global warming is real.”

The first arrest of an alleged government leaker was made yesterday. Her name is Reality Winner…. not kidding. And boy, is she a hateful little fart of sunshine.

Federal Contractor ‘Reality L. Winner’ Arrested For Leaking Classified NSA Document to News Outlet
25-year-old Reality Leigh Winner, a federal contractor, was arrested over the weekend and is facing charges that she removed classified material from a government facility and mailed it to a news outlet.

Winner worked for Pluribus International Corporation and was assigned to a government facility in Georgia. She’s held a Top Secret classified security clearance since being hired on Feb. 13.
She is accused of sending the classified document to a news outlet a few days after printing it off.
“Once investigative efforts identified Winner as a suspect, the FBI obtained and executed a search warrant at her residence. According to the complaint, Winner agreed to talk with agents during the execution of the warrant,” the statement read.
“During that conversation, Winner admitted intentionally identifying and printing the classified intelligence reporting at issue despite not having a ‘need to know,’ and with knowledge that the intelligence reporting was classified.”

NSA Leaker Had Issues: Said “Being White Is Terrorism”

The majority of her recent tweets are angrily directed against President Donald Trump, in particular rehashing the liberal trope about “tiny hands.” She has also called the president an “orange fascist,” a “cunt” and bashed his selection of “Confederate General” Jeff Sessions amounts to racism. Sessions is head of the agency currently prosecuting Winner.

A Week Of Surfing On A Sea Of Liberal Tears

To argue for the Paris Accords is to argue against democracy – incredibly, they wanted to deny us any say in our electric bills tripling and in hundreds of thousands of our citizens being tossed out of work to please the Chardonnay-swilling swells of San Francisco and Manhattan.
Basically, it was a bogus goal based on a fake crisis designed to justify a massive transfer of wealth and power away from us and to the liberal elite. They call that #science.
And Trump nuked it. Killed it dead. Their screams of pain and wailing about “earth crimes” and “eco treason” are a beautiful symphony, and their response to it all was illustrative:

Will They Be Forgotten?

Will D-Day fade into history when the last World War II veteran is gone?

Today is the 73rd anniversary of that June 6, 1944, invasion of France that saw one of the largest forces ever assembled for battle on land, sea and air.

Some 156,000 American, British and Canadian troops attacked German defenders along a 50-mile stretch of heavily defended Normandy coastline.

An estimated 4,000 Allied troops were killed, but by the end of the day the beachheads had been secured in an invasion that was called the beginning of the end of the war in Europe.

The number of living veterans who served in World War II is dwindling; down from 16 million during the war to about 500,000 today (Ohio has more than 26,000). They’re dying at a rate of 372 a day, with an average age now in the 90s.

Given that our so-called “educators” are largely anti-war, anti-capitalist propagandists revisionist history is a large part of their lesson plan. The removal of most statues of Confederate Civil War figures, which have been labeled as ‘racist’ in the South, is a prime example of destroying our history from the inside out.
The men who stormed the Normandy beaches were mostly 18 and 19 year old men. They faced almost certain death without flinching because their sense of duty demanded it. Fast forward to today, where these pampered snowflakes demand “safe spaces” and whine incessantly about anything that upsets them.
How about the Tommies, who fought alongside the Americans, Canadians, and Australians? The land they sacrificed for has been overrun by terrorists who were welcomed in to live off the government, sequester themselves and foment the savagery and barbarism their religion preaches.
We’ve raised a generation of whiners and people who think they deserve special treatment because they’ve been labeled ‘oppressed minorities’ and given special consideration.
One thing I can be grateful for is that I needn’t be a witness to this insanity much longer.

A Personal Request from Pistol Pete

Yours truly was privileged to be afforded posting authority shortly after PoliNation came online back in February of 2011. My dear friend Ting gave me a heads up when it began. Many of the people involved have been blogging buddies of mine for many years. We don’t have advertising banners and we don’t ask anybody to donate for anything. What we do here daily is exercise our freedom of expression. Chrissy and Bluebird are far more gifted than I am, but we put a considerable amount of effort in order to keep you informed and entertained. There were far more people commenting in the beginning and some of the threads were epic. Nowadays most visitors just lurk for whatever reason. We love what we do and plan to keep doing it as long as the Lord will allow.

Curmudgeon, the owner of Political Clown Parade, hands out awards each year for the top small blogs. We have been honored with an award the last two years. There are 20 medals given out each year and we came in #20. Bluebird also got one for her own page. There are thousands of small sites that toil in anonimity, but it’s nice to get a little recognition. On June 1, we announced the Fifth Annual Paul Revere Award to honor conservative bloggers whose work was filled “with the breathings of their heart.” They are the good people who feed our soul—who make us laugh at ourselves or life—and restore our buoyancy in a troubled world. They champion freedom of expression while holding down jobs, raising their families and/or selflessly providing care for loved ones.
These often overlooked bloggers deserve to be recognized for their work. What greater honor is there than to be recognized by their peers and loyal readers?
We’ve gotten a pretty distinguished list already, but there must be more don’t you think? Nominations will be accepted through midnight, Saturday June 10. Voting will begin on Sunday, June 11 to determine this year’s winners.

London Bridge Has Fallen Down

By now you’ve all heard of the latest terror attack in the Muslim paradise formerly known as London. With blissfully ignorant victims and unarmed police, they’re ridiculously easy pickings for slaughter. A van crashed into a crowd of people on the London Bridge and the spawn from Hell jumped out of the back and began stabbing victims and slashing throats. The terrorists moved on from there to 2 other venues before three of them were shot dead. It is not known how many are still at large.

Police stating obvious now, that it may have been a terror attack.

PRESIDENT TRUMP UNLEASHED A TWEET STORM LAST NIGHT, RENEWING HIS CALL FOR A TRAVEL BAN:

NBC tweeted about it, but refused to retweet it claiming what was said was ‘unconfirmed’. How are ‘fears’ that that’s what was unconfirmed?

President Trump assailed political correctness, gun control supporters and the mayor of London on Sunday, arguing that the world needed to be more serious about fighting terrorism a day after seven people were killed and dozens more wounded in the latest attack in Britain.

“We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people,” he wrote on Twitter. “If we don’t get smart it will only get worse.”

Mr. Trump targeted Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, scorning him for trying to reassure his people. “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is “no reason to be alarmed!” Mr. Trump wrote.

“Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now?” he wrote on Sunday morning. “That’s because they used knives and a truck!”

On Saturday night, he wrote, “We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!”
