I used to put this under my pillow and try to listen to WLS’s top ten most requested songs quietly enough not to make granny tell me to turn it off.

I learned to drive in a 1953 Chevy like this with a three on the tree.

I had a discussion with GP on Facebook this week about 7th and 8th grade dances we had in the school gym. We called them sock hops. She said hers were just called dances. Remember ‘At The Hop’ by Danny and the Juniors?

Granny used this stuff liberally. I could never remember which one stung when you put it on… this stuff or iodine.

Theses are the first three Barbie dolls made. The one on top is a #1,made in 1959. The one on the left is a #2 made in 1960. The ones on the right are #3’s made in 1961. The way you see them,if in excellent condition they’re worth $600-about $900. In the box they are currentlybringing $3000-$6000. Ten years ago they sold for twice that.

I watched my great Uncle Homer use this many times.

The semi bringing the papers from Chicago was more than an hour late because of a wreck on the interstate. It rained all morning. Every time I rolled down the window to deliver a paper I got soaked. There was a time that would bother me.

I woke up this morning. I had the strength to get up and go earn a little money. DW fixed a nice lunch and I can still do this. It’s all good.

I started working at a McDonalds clone in 1966. The hamburgers were $.12 and the cheeseburgers were $.15. I made the princely sum of $.90/hr. And worked damn hard to get it. But I never complained.

Time marches inexorably on. Panic begins to set in and the smell of desperation rises from the democrat camp like the acrid stench of rotting flesh from a decaying jackass.
The preceding is an unpaid political statement from a frustrated novelist.

In keeping with my self-imposed standards I will not report on the following:

Springfield, MO… white couple leaving a bar assaulted and beaten by six knee-grows obviously still upset over St. Mikey getting offed by a racist white cop.

Memphis, TN… a mob of about 100 Obama voters brutally beat a white student working at a Kroger store while two trashy future baby-mamas laughed and filmed it.

Philadelphia… a 13 and 14 year old assault a mentally-challenged man. Apparentlt they didn’t get enough exercise at recess.

The point is,the attacks are getting more frequent and more vicious since the animals sense they’ll never pay a price for their crime. The key is,beat white people,but don’t quite kill them. You can plea down to simple assault and be out before the cracka’s out of the hospital. It seems the only time the media is interested is when the victims fight back.

Oops. Guess I just reported it.

Being friday makes a difference if you still have……a job.
Being retired means I have nothing to do and all day to tell you about it.

A few McDonald’s employees and a whole lot of union thugs staged protests yesterday in 150 cities including ours.
This intersection is at North Central and Auburn St. I went to high school at auburn High,just down the street and the BP gas station in the background has been closed three times for drug activity.The restaurant is one block from a county housing complex.It was a really nice neighborhood back in the 1960’s,but its decayed completely.

9 fast-food wage protesters arrested in Rockford

Twenty-five people blocked eastbound traffic on Auburn Street for nearly four hours. The nine who were arrested had refused orders from Rockford police officers to get off the road; instead, they sat on the pavement.

No one was injured.

Chief Chet Epperson said police decided to clear the road before 3 p.m. because of rush-hour traffic and school dismissals.

The frenetic prelude to the midterm elections is now upon us.The time when elected officials who live in DC hie back to their areas of representation and pretend like their only concern is the welfare of the folks they’re trying to con money and votes from.Republicans generally appeal to peoples’ sense of intelligence and reason while democrats run strictly on empty rhetoric and emotions,predominately hatred, anger,jealousy and greed.
I will try to keep those who pass by here abreast of races around the country as I can find them.I no longer claim that things can’t get any more stupid or vicious because I have found you underestimate politicians’innate ability to be lying hypocritical scum at your own peril.

Mozilla crashed a couple times today. Don’t remember that happening before. Of course,I don’t remember getting up this morning,so it’s no big deal.

Lunchtime….take a couple burgers you grilled Monday,nuke them for 25 seconds,put on a bun with mustard,tomato and a slice of raw onion. Salad with lettuce,tomato,green pepper and cucumber. Tall glass of iced tea. Mmmmmmmmmm. Being diabetic doesn’t mean you have to go hungry.

Things are starting to get real as we draw onto 9 weeks before election day. Or,as I rather hope,the great Democrat Massacre of 2014. I’ll do a riff on the ‘silly season’ tomorrow. The videos will start coming out on an almost daily basis. Till then there’s more illegals to welcome in and more golf to play.

Couldn’t think of a better title. This is completely off the cuff,but I feel a little guilty leaving Chrissy to carry the burden here,which she has done as only she can. News just seemed like a soap opera where you could check in every couple weeks and not much has changed. Christians are still being slaughtered,Barry still lying in between golf games and race hustlers still trying to keep the masses angry enough to be motivated to get off their backsides and try to save the democrats’ bacon in about 8 weeks. Things will start getting interesting pretty soon.
