Gen. Patrick Brady explains why president abandoned Americans in Benghazi

Now I understand! For years, many veterans and active military have been alarmed about the idiocy of the changes in battlefield aeromedical evacuation known as Dust Off. For reasons having nothing to do with patient care, Dust Off has been removed from the control of the professionals, the medics, and put under the control of amateurs, aviation staff officers, or ASOs. This is the first such change since the Civil War.

I document the unparalleled excellence of Dust Off, and the effects of the changes, in my book, “Dead Men Flying.” Needless to say, it was the most outstanding battlefield operating system of that war – some one million souls saved and unprecedented survival rates. No warrior of Vietnam is more revered than the Dust Off crews.

In the words of Gen. Creighton Abrams, former U.S. Army chief of staff and former supreme commander in Vietnam: “A special word about the Dust Offs … Courage above and beyond the call of duty was sort of routine to them. It was a daily thing, part of the way they lived. That’s the great part, and it meant so much to every last man who served there. Whether he ever got hurt or not, he knew Dust Off was there. It was a great thing for our people.”

Fast forward to current battlefields. We hear horror stories about patients waiting and dying because Dust Off didn’t launch or came too late. The launch standard in my unit in Vietnam was two minutes; today it is 15 minutes! Can anyone imagine a fire truck taking 15 minutes to get under way? I could go on and on, but one has to ask, why? Why the changes to an excellent, proven system?

The answer is the Obama-Panetta Doctrine. In response to the horrible abandonment of dying Americans in Benghazi, Defense Secretary Panetta said: “(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place.”

On its face, that is a remarkable, indeed incomprehensible, change from America’s doctrine in past wars. By that standard, there would have been no Normandy or Inchon. In fact, I can’t think of a war we fought in which we didn’t go into harm’s way without real-time information or to save lives – something the president refused to do in Benghazi. Dust Off would never launch in Vietnam under that doctrine.

To fully understand the doctrinal change, one has to understand President Obama. He has a dearth of understanding of our military and military matters. We hear he is uncomfortable in the presence of ranking military and seldom meets with them. He is not a person who can make decisions, and he takes an extraordinary amount of time to do so, leading to such unseemly labels for a commander in chief as “ditherer in chief.”

President Obama may have set records for voting “present” on important issues. He cowers from crisis decisions. He is a politician who thinks only in terms of votes and his image. Although I was a psychology major back in the day (I’d love to hear a professional analyze risk and Obama), I won’t try to define his insides, but I believe he is risk-averse – fearful of risk – and that is the basis of the Obama-Panetta doctrine.

This aversion for risk dominates Dust Off rescue operations where, in addition to an unconscionable reaction time, risk assessment is the primary consideration for mission launch – not patient care. In two years flying Dust Off in Vietnam, I never heard that term, nor did any Dust pilot I know. The ASOs, remote from the battle, have developed time-consuming algorithms to analyze risk while the patient bleeds, something that’s impossible to do by anyone other than the pilot and the ground forces at the scene.

And Obama’s terror of risk contributed to the massacre of Americans by terrorists in Benghazi. We hear that the president did not even convene the Counterterrorism Security Group while the Benghazi terrorist massacre was visually and verbally available in real time. That is like ignoring FEMA during Hurricane Sandy. But once you bring in a group labeled anti-terrorist, you have to acknowledge terror exists, something the president is loath to do.

My veteran friends are horrified by the Obama-Panetta doctrine. At least 359 retired flag officers support Mitt Romney – only five that I know of support Obama. Some 150 former prisoners of war also support Romney; I know of none who support Obama.

America needs to listen to these veterans. They understand leadership. They know how to deal with risk in war. They would not want this man with them in combat or crisis. They never left a needy comrade behind. Obama did.

In the video clip above, The Donald rightly claims that he is responsible for getting Obama to finally release his long-form birth certificate (or some faked up facsimile thereof).

Obama did this only under POLITICAL pressure that was damaging him personally.

But when Lt. Col. Terry Lakin asked to see proof that Obama had the Constitutional right to order him into harm’s way, Obama didn’t lift a finger, not even to keep the man out of prison.

The Terry Lakin case ranks at the top of scurvy, slimey, makes-my-hair-smolder-with-anger things Barack Obama has ever done.

Former Lt. Col. Terry Lakin knows what despair feels like. He felt it full-bore on a late December day in 2010. Having been stripped of his rank, income, benefits, pension, and authority at court martial, this much-honored 17-year U.S. Army veteran was about to lose his freedom.

The good doctor had refused deployment to Afghanistan. He had been there before in his role as flight surgeon and would have been happy to go again. He had his bags packed and was ready to leave. All he asked from his commander-in-chief before boarding the plane was a sign, a nod to the constitutional niceties, a show of his birth certificate. It was not forthcoming.

Now, Lakin was on his way to Fort Leavenworth’s Joint Regional Correctional Facility. Of all his hardship deployments, Bosnia included, this would be the hardest. After he bid a tearful farewell to his wife and three young children, his military minders chained his hands together and attached those chains to a band around his waist. They chained his legs and attached those, too. They then loaded him into a van and drove him to Reagan National.

There, Lakin endured his ultimate humiliation: a seemingly endless perp walk — a shuffle really — through a concourse filled with flags and patriotic bunting and the happy sight of returning soldiers. None of the display had lost its appeal, but Lakin could not overlook the irony of his being chained and bound amidst it all.

The civilian psychologist who did intake assessments at Fort Leavenworth claimed to know why the soft-spoken doctor refused deployment, or at least he thought he did. As he put it, Lakin did not believe Obama to have been born in the United States or to be constitutionally eligible to be president.

Lakin corrected him. As he explained, he did not know where the president was born or whether the president was eligible. The problem was that no one did. As Lakin saw it, the oath that he took as an officer in the U.S. Army — “I, Terrence Lee Lakin, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” — all but dictated that he seek the truth.

After exhausting all military channels, Lakin took the one honorable step that he thought would force the president to respond, even if it meant a court martial. The psychologist didn’t get it. He could not quite factor “honor” into a mental illness evaluation.

The White House, which was aware of Lakin’s ordeal, could have spared him imprisonment had the president done in April 2010 what he did in April 2011. Under pressure from Donald Trump, President Obama presented at least a facsimile of a birth certificate. At the churlish little press conference surrounding the event, Obama mocked those who had questioned him.

“We’re not going to be able to [address our problems] if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts,” said the president. “We’re not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers.”

Lakin watched this presentation on his cell block’s communal TV with dismay. After all he had sacrificed, the president considered him, if he considered him at all, as nothing more than a sideshow freak. That burned.

What burned even more was his later realization that Obama himself had been feeding the story that he was foreign-born. In May of this year, Lakin, like the rest of us, learned that Obama claimed a Kenyan birth in the bio distributed by his literary agent, Jane Dystel, in 1991.

From early on, no doubt, Barack Obama saw that it paid to be exotic. Foreign birth gave him a romantic allure and allowed him to distance himself from the bitter clingers of the country he barely deigned to inhabit.

“I chose my friends carefully,” Obama wrote in his memoir, Dreams from My Father: “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.” These were the people with whom he felt comfortable.

Of course, a Kenyan birth would preclude his becoming president, but in 1991, Obama was not thinking that far ahead. He was likely thinking marketability. In the years that followed, various news services would repeat the Kenyan birth claim, and Obama’s stubborn refusal to show a birth certificate fed the Kenyan birth narrative that he himself had created.

At his April 2011 press conference, Obama chided those who “just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts,” but Lakin sensed even then there was no greater pretender than the president himself. Long before his court-martial, he knew that Obama’s origin’s story, the one on which he built his 2008 candidacy, was a fiction. There was no “improbable love,” no idyllic multicultural family. His parents never lived together. They did not even live in the same state.

It was not until the release of David Maraniss’ book, Barack Obama: The Story, in June 2012 that the media began to concede that the story Obama had been spinning all along was fabricated. Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith, an Obama supporter like Maraniss, “counted 38 instances in which the biographer convincingly disputes significant elements of Obama’s own story of his life and his family history.” By then, of course, it was too late for Terry Lakin. The media had paid little attention to his ordeal, and then only to belittle him.

Terry Lakin, now freed from prison and military obligations, has finally gotten his chance to set the record straight. His memoir, Officer’s Oath, on which I collaborated, is available for purchase.

In this memoir, unlike Dreams, there are no composite characters, no fabrications, no deceptions. I am hoping that the psychologist who assessed Terry will read it. If he does, he will no longer ask why Lt. Col. Lakin did what he did, but rather why others who had sworn to defend the Constitution — Congress included — did not do the same.

The original plan was to go on hiatus indefinitely,since I could not accurately convey the breadth and depth of revulsion I’m feeling for this open,weeping sore on the genitals of humanity who has the unmitigated gall to consider himself the leader of the free world.But then I figured my inaction would put me in the same light as this cravenly yellow rat bastard.If you’ve been suffering from a snark deficiency,come forth and ye shall be filled for my cup runneth over….way over.

I watched Sens. Udall and Warner on FNS yesterday and when Wallace asked them directly if the drones over the Benghazi embassy were armed,they did a dance that would give Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers pause to duplicate. Politicians in general and libs in particular are loathe to say anything definite they cannot wiggle out of.That may be a large part of the contempt the public in general holds this gaggle of thieves in.

I do not watch the other Sunday talking head shows because my auto-immune system cannot process the bile spewn by these heaps of rancid animal entrails who laughingly call themselves ‘journalists.’ From what I’ve read,not one ever mentioned Benghazi.Protective to the end of the grinning purple lips with nothing but an empty soul behind them.They will successfully keep the embassy murders from becoming general knowledge until after the election,as their emperor has commanded them.How I pray the entire pack of them be laid low in 8 days time.

Doherty and Woods ignored the standdown order and rushed to the sound of the guns because they were Marines;they live by the motto: Never leave a fallen comrade behind–ever.On the best day of his miserable,meaningless street-corner hustling life the Kenyan half-breed couldn’t hack two days of Marine training.I wonder at what point the fallen warriors realized their Commander-In-Chief had sold them out to get reelected.

The damnable part is that there will be no price paid for this betrayal.Not Obama,not Cankles,not Leon Panheada.An admiral or general may take the fall,the truly guilty will walk away as they nearly always do.

During the 2008 primary when Hillary! asked about who would answer the phone at 3AM,now we know.Obama would answer the phone,watch Americans die then go back to bed so he could hop a flight to Vegas the next day to gather in more money.

I would be remiss if I did not offer prayers up for the safety of Chrissy,Ting and any other of our friends living in Sandy’s path.Be safe and well.

The stink from Benghazi gets worse every day

June 6, 2012: Terrorists blew a big hole in the gate of our consulate in Benghazi.

October 10, 2012:  Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said,

“Under cover of darkness, assailants placed an IED on the north gate of Consulate Benghazi, blowing a hole in the security perimeter that was described by one individual as ‘big enough for forty men to go through.’”

“These pictures are of an attack that happened in Benghazi. The first was a so-called fish bomb. This is the compound in Benghazi before the attack. … The second bombing was an improvised explosive device [IED] that was placed on the north gate, breaching the wall [on June 6]. It was a test by terrorists and it was successful, and we didn’t respond fully and adequately.”

“We didn’t acknowledge it. We didn’t talk about it. We pretended it didn’t happen. It was a terrorist attack on a U.S. asset in Libya and it was never exposed. We pretended it didn’t happen.”

In piecing together the details of the Benghazi attack up the U.S. consulate, it is becoming clear that there were U.S. Special Operations forces on the ground, at least two drones overhead and lasers being used to paint at least one target. The question then becomes, if these things were in place for a strike against attackers, who called it off? There can only be one answer, the commander-in-chief Barack Obama.

Fox News reports on the laser being used to paint the target:

At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.

This went on for four hours and the White House was able to watch this all take place live. Two drones were above recording what was taking place and it seems one was called in to relieve the other, presumably because of fuel issues. A former Delta operator over at BlackFive writes:

Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.

One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not “paint” a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.

If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Panetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.

If that SEAL was actively “painting” a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

There is also the issue of the former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods and a small team that ignored orders to stand down after they requested permission to go and help.

Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to “stand down,” according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to “stand down.”

Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.

CIA spokeswoman Jennifer Youngblood denied claims that requests for support were turned down.

“We can say with confidence that the Agency reacted quickly to aid our colleagues during that terrible evening in Benghazi,” she said. “Moreover, no one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. In fact, it is important to remember how many lives were saved by courageous Americans who put their own safety at risk that night-and that some of those selfless Americans gave their lives in the effort to rescue their comrades.

I can’t help but think that this sounds, at least with the information that we are getting, like much of the response to the attacks of September 11, which was no response. Even more disturbing is what BlackFive writes,

“This is bigger than Watergate!… The worst has to be the team on the ground knowing that the President just left you to die.“

All of this was responded to by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on Thursday. He said,

The U.S. military did not get involved during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, last month because officials did not have enough information about what was going on before the attack was over.

Just how much information did you need? The White House had emails. They had forces on the ground, drones overhead, a live feed, painted targets. For four hours nothing was done while the consulate was attacked. There was a Special Operations team operating in Central Europe that could have been called upon, but weren’t, and could have flown there in less than two hours. But none of this was done.

It is looking more and more as though this was not only a planned attack, but also that either the White House was either negligent and irresponsible in their “non-response” or complicit.

Did 4 Americans die because Obama wants a second term?

LONG STORY SHORT – The Obama State Department:

  • REMOVED U.S. Special Forces from a red-hot danger zone;
  • INSTALLED local militia with ties to Muslim extremists to “guard” the embassy;
  • IGNORED multiple signs that attack(s) were being planned for the anniversary of 9/11;
  • DENIED multiple requests for additional security;
  • LIED for weeks after the attack about what they knew and when they knew it.

SHORT STORY LONG – Here’s the timeline I’ve pieced together, with URLs at the end:

  • 2011 March: Obama authorizes a military assault on Libya’s Gaddafi government, without obtaining the approval of Congress that is required by law.  Only 47% of Americans approve of Obama’s action.
  • 2011 October: The leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi, dies. While Gaddafi was admittedly a seriously major creep, he had at least been keeping Al-Qaeda out of Libya. Extremists move into the leadership vacuum left by his death.
  • 2012 February:  The U.S. embassy in Libya requests — and is granted — an extension on their Site Security Team (SST) composed of 16 Special Forces soldiers who provided security, medical and communications support to the embassy. The State Department says the SST can stay four more months. That sets them up to leave Libya in August, shortly before the anniversary of 9/11.
  • 2012 March: Eric Nordstrom, the State Department’s Regional Security Officer, sends a cable to Washington asking for additional diplomatic security agents for Benghazi. He gets no response.
  • 2012 April: Two men throw an IED over the consulate fence.
  • 2012 May: Militant Muslims attack the Red Cross office in Benghazi, then post on Facebook that they’re planning something for the Americans.
  • 2012 June: Unknown assailants blow a ginormous hole in the consulate gate. Four days later, the British ambassador’s car is ambushed by militants with a rocket-propelled grenade.  Another threat appears on Facebook.
  • 2012 July: Nordstrom again asks Washington for additional security for the diplomats in Libya. Again, he gets no response.
  • 2012 August:  Family members of the Libyan militia protecting the consulate receive warnings about an impending attack. Ambassador Stevens wants the 16-special forces SST to stay longer; Washington orders them to leave.
  • 2012 September 8: Members of the Libyan militia protecting the consulate warn U.S. diplomats that the security situation is “frightening.”
  • 2012 September 10:  The day before the anniversary of 9/11, Ayman al Zawahiri, the man who took over as head of Al Qaeda after Osama bin Laden was killed, issues a public call for Libyans to avenge the death of his Libyan deputy, Abu Yahya al Libi, who was killed in June by a U.S. drone.
  • 2012 September 11: American embassies are assaulted in 20 different countries. In Cairo, attackers scale the U.S. embassy walls and replace the U.S. flag with the Islamist banner. The consulate in Benghazi is attacked by about 20 heavily armed men. Our people in the White House, State Department, military, FBI and CIA watch the attack going down in real time.

February 17 Brigade is a militia with links to the Muslim Brotherhood, the largest and most influential Islamic movement in the world. It’s credo is, “Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.” Its most famous slogan, which is used worldwide, is “Islam is the solution.”

Category Yellow: Homeland Security uses a five color-coded threat level scale to label the probability of a terrorist attack and its potential gravity. Red is severe risk; Orange is high risk; Yellow is significant risk; Blue is guarded, general risk; Green is low risk.

  • Late on the night of September 11 to 12: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton issues a statement that “some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet.”
  • 2012 September 12: Media outlets report that Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans were killed in an attack by well-armed militants.  Reuters reports that some administration officials believe the assault “bears the hallmarks of an organized attack.” Reuters also reports there are indications that members of both al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and Ansar al-Sharia may have been involved in organizing the attacks.  President Obama says he does not believe the “outrageous and shocking attack” was simply due to a protest that turned violent, but he never mentions either the video or the word terrorism. He just says, “My suspicion is that there are folks involved in this who were looking to target Americans from the start.”
  • 2012 September 13:  White House spokesman Jay Carney says “the protests we’re seeing around the region are in reaction to this movie.”
  • 2012 September 14:  Carney says the administration had “no actionable intelligence” that a 9/11 attack was being planned.
  • 2012 September 15:  A CNN reporter walks through the unsecured crime scene at the Benghazi consulate and makes off with Ambassador Stevens’ personal journal.  CNN reads and uses Stevens’ journal entries in news reports, citing it as an unidentified source “familiar with Stevens’ thinking” and saying the ambassador had been concerned about a “rise in Islamic extremism” that posed security threats to him and his staff.
  • 2012 September 16:  Susan Rice, Obama’s Ambassador to the United Nations, appears on multiple Sunday talk shows, saying again and again that a protest over the video was the “proximate cause” of the four American deaths. Libya’s interim president Mohamed Magarief says the assault in Benghazi was not a spontaneous protest, but “was planned, definitely.”
  • 2012 September 19:  National Counterterrorism Center Director Matthew Olsen testifies before the Senate Homeland Security Committee that the assault was an “opportunistic” attack in which armed terrorists took advantage of an on-going protest. (Olsen was appointed to the position in 2011 by President Obama.)
  • 2012 September 20:  President Obama says, “What we do know is that the natural protests that arose because of the outrage over the video were used as an excuse by extremists to see if they can also directly harm U.S. interests.” CBS reports that witnesses in Benghazi say there was no protest prior to the armed assault against the consulate.  White House Press Secretary Carney declares it “self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack.”
  • 2012 September 21:  Secretary of State Clinton says “what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack.”
  • 2012 September 25:  In his address to the U.N. General Assembly, Obama makes repeated references to the video, but never mentions terrorism. Then he goes on ABC’s The View and, when asked about Clinton’s statement that “what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack”, Obama blames “extremist militias” and says “we’re still doing an investigation.”
  • 2012 September 26: Libyan president Magarief tells NBC there was no protest prior to the armed assault against the consulate.
  • 2012 September 27:  Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta says it’s “clear that there were terrorists who planned that attack.”
  • 2012 September 28:  The Director of National Intelligence (DNI), James Clapper, issues a statement kinda sorta taking the blame for maybe saying there had been a protest that got out of control.  (Clapper was appointed by Obama in 2010 and is subject to his authority, direction, and control.)

  • 2012 October 3:  FBI investigators finally arrive at the crime scene in Benghazi, which has been unsecured since September 11.  (One wonders what exactly constituted all the alleged “investigating” Obama et al. had been claiming they were doing. Isn’t securing the crime scene the FIRST thing you’re supposed to do?)
  • 2012 October 6: U.N. Ambassador Rice says when she was yapping on all those t.v. shows about the video, she had “relied solely and squarely on the information the intelligence community provided to me and other senior U.S. officials.”

2012 October 7: The White House Disinformation Campaign on Libya Summarized [2:52]

  • 2012 October 9:  Senior State Department officials for the first time acknowledge that there was never any protest in Benghazi. Then they blame the whole “blame the video” thing on the intelligence community.
  • 2012 October 10:  Both Lt. Col. Andy Wood (head of the SST the State Department pulled out of Libya in August) and Eric Nordstrom (the State Department’s Regional Security Officer) testify at a House Oversight Committee hearing about how their repeated requests for more security in Libya were denied by Washington. Their testimony is confirmed by cables made public by Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Darrell Issa (R-Calif.).
  • 2012 October 11: During the vice presidential debate, Biden says, “We weren’t told they wanted more security there.” He also blames the administration’s shifting explanations about the attack on the intelligence community.
  • 2012 October 22:  Members of the February 17 Brigade tasked with guarding the Benghazi consulate say that, on August 28, 2012, they received a tip about a possible attack on the diplomatic compound and that on the morning of 9/11, the consulate asked them to increase security, but later, for some unknown reason, said to never mind.
  • 2012 October 23-24: ABC, CBS and Reuters all release the three emails reproduced above. Reuters notes, “The timing of the emails is consistent with what a senior State Department official told reporters at a briefing on Oct. 9.”
  • 2012 October 24:  When asked about the emails, White House spokesman Jay Carney said the White House knew about those emails as soon as they were received. The word he used was “instantaneously.”
  • 2012 October 26: Fox reported that three urgent requests for military assistance for the Benghazi consulate were sent from the CIA annex. SOMEBODY told the CIA operators they were to stand down. Two former Navy SEALS, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, were at the CIA annex. They wanted to go help defend the consulate. They were ordered to stay put, but DISOBEYED that order. Both died heroically, trying to protect the ambassador and his staff.

I was talking about all this with Dearest and mentioned my blog of Oct 15, 2012 (see URL below) where I showed how President Carter’s approval ratings had gone above 50% for four months after our Tehran embassy personnel had been taken hostage.  And I said, “I bet Obama was pissed they murdered Stevens instead of taking him hostage.”

Dearest said he would not be at all surprised if Obama had actually organized the whole thing.  I was skeptical at first, but when he laid out his reasoning, I had to admit, disgusting as it is, it’s also plausible.

Suppose Obama made a deal with the Muslim Brotherhood, or somebody like them, to swoop into an unprotected compound on 9/11 and take Stevens hostage. And suppose that it was only because Doherty and Woods disobeyed orders to sit on their hands that said attackers found themselves getting shot at by two highly trained Navy SEALS.

Would not the likely outcome be that the attackers would assume they had been taken for suckers and take out their anger at Obama by publicly brutalizing and murdering the guy they were supposed to just kidnap? 

Keep in mind, please, that we have NO EVIDENCE this is what happened. It just seems to make a lot of sense of all of the above, KWIM?

Consider if Stevens had been kidnapped and the American people had acted the way we usually do, rallying around in support of our leader during a time of national crisis. We could easily have been headed toward a sure Obama win on November 6th.

We may owe our national salvation to two heroic Navy SEALS. Had they survived, they would surely have been court-martialed. They knew that and ran into battle anyway, because it was the right thing to do.

It would be poetic to learn this is all true, seeing as it was Navy SEALS who risked their lives to get Osama bin Laden, only to have Obama claim all the credit then blab their identities and operational secrets to our enemies.

I was so struck by this man’s impression of Obama and Clinton. One of my military kids met President Bush on the South Lawn in 2007. She was utterly whelmed by how intense and sincere he was, looking the warriors directly in the eyes “like he was looking down into our souls” and thanking them for their service. These were kids, out of basic, but still training for their MOS. What a contrast to the cold fish treatment this Gold Star Dad got from the frauds in this administration. It sickens me.

Joe Biden is both a LIAR and a FOOL

This is what Biden said in full:

By the way, they talk about this great recession like it fell out of the sky – like, ‘Oh my goodness, where did it come from?’ It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card, at the same time, put a prescription drug plan on the credit card, a trillion dollar tax cut for the very wealthy. I was there, I voted against them. I said, no, we can’t afford that.

Leftists can quibble that he didn’t “lie” exactly, if you apply “I voted against them” ONLY to the last clause about tax cuts.

People with functioning brain cells can tell that’s a bunch of baloney. His statement obviously means:

Ryan voted FOR two wars, a prescription drug plan and a tax cut. I voted AGAINST them all.

But the record shows that he did vote for the two wars and the prescription drug plan.

As for the last one, while it is true he voted against it, the record shows he was foolish to do so.
