May 17, 2016: The Portland Public Schools board unanimously approved a resolution ordering every school in Portland to “abandon the use of any adopted text material that is found to express doubt about the severity of the climate crisis or its root in human activities.”

The resolution also directs the superintendent and staff to develop an implementation plan for “curriculum and educational opportunities that address climate change and climate justice in all Portland Public Schools.”

One commenter to the Portland Tribune story said, “I have never seen a case for homeschooling more clearly put forward. This is further proof that public schools are not interested in education, only political indoctrination.”

Shameless Progressive AGs Abuse the System – UPDATE

Dem stifle speech

In the past two days, I’ve seen two stories about state’s Attorney Generals flagrantly abusing the power of their offices to punish Conservatives.  In more cheerful news, both of these stories has come under fire from those on both sides of the aisle who actually give a crap about the law and preserving our freedoms.

In California, AG Kamala Harris (who wants to run for a Senate seat) decided to totally ignore the abundant and blatant video evidence showing that Planned Parenthood violates the law with regard to the sale of aborted baby parts while she persecutes the video makers, David Daleiden and other members of his Center for Medical Progress.

Besides haggling for the highest prices, high level Planned Parenthood executives talk openly on the videos about altering abortion procedures and lie to patients in order to profit from the sale of dead babies.  All of this is illegal.

Does AG Harris care?  No.  She’s such a staunch supporter of Planned Parenthood, she even has a petition on her campaign website to collect signatures to defend the abortion giant and she sponsored a law to force pro-life crisis pregnancy centers to tell their patients where to go to get abortions.

This week, on Harris’ order, Daleiden’s home was raided for evidence of his “crime” which was that, as part of the video sting operation, he and his peeps created a company called Center for Medical Progress and approached Planned Parenthood execs about buying baby parts when they ::gasp:: had no intention of actually buying any.

In other appalling news …

More than a dozen states AGs stood on a stage with Al Gore and swore publicly to persecute so-called “climate deniers.”  Cuz, you know, the First Amendment only applies to people the Progs LIKE.

Mar 29, 2016: Joined by democrat Attorneys General from six states, former Vice President Al Gore announces the formation of an ‘historic coalition’ to investigate “commercial interests that have been… deceiving the American people” about the reality of the “climate crisis and the dangers it poses to all of us”.

Why I Prefer Old Westerns

The republican primary looks more like a schoolyard game of ‘king of the hill,’ where everybody is trying to knock off the kid at the top of the hill. Cruz and Rubio are both taking shots at Trump who, in actuality, has shot himself in the proverbial foot time and again by addressing David Duke’s endorsement, the Trump University fraud, and blaming the judge in that lawsuit of being biased because he’s Hispanic. Nothing seems to make the Trumpkins waver, as he still draws thousands to hear him hurl threats and insults at everybody.

The Oscars were last night. The annual orgy of self-congratulation by stilted, jaded millionaires whining about climate change, gay rights and diversity, just not in their lily-white world. I read a lot of articles about the gala and decided not to pollute this site with all the meaningless pap.

Multi-multi millionaire finally got his award and used the occasion to whine about climate change:

But the most dramatic moment came towards the end of his speech, when he spoke forcefully about a cause that’s long been near and dear to his heart: climate change. “The Revenant was about a man’s relationship to the natural world, a world that we collectively felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history. Here’s why I prefer westerns:
The bad guy always gets caught/killed in the end
The cowboys never peed or pooped…no toilets in the west
Dance hall girls never took cowboys upstairs for a bucking bronco ride
The six-guns held 37 shots without reloading
When people got shot,there was no recoil backwards and no blood around the wound
The Indians were all white guys wearing shirts so only their faces needed makeup
They all had headbands to hold om their cheap wigs
The good guys could shoot two redskins off galloping horses with one shot
The Indians spoke in deliciously racist terms like:
‘white man speak with forked tongue’
‘me sendum to happy hunting ground’
‘you needum much wampum for Injun maid’
The walk-on actors never had guns… only the main characters went strapped
It was all in good, clean fun. Something political correctness precludes today.
Keep your modern progress…I like it where I am.

Climate alarmists are …

  • tooting the NOAA’s claim that 2015 was the second hottest year in temperature recorded history.

Climate skeptics note …

  • NASA’s satellite temperature records do not support the NOAA’s findings.
  • NOAA’s data is full of warm-biased holes. E.g., weather stations that used to be in fields are now surrounded by buildings with heat-producing HVAC systems and parking lots that retain heat.
