Democrats make themselves look ridiculous AGAIN

The RNC’s Christmas greeting included this passage:

“Merry Christmas to all! Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King.”

Biblically illiterate secular humanists immediately concluded:

“The Republicans actually think that ‘this Christmas’ they have a ‘new King’ named . . . Donald Trump!”

This is what you get when you ban schools from studying the Bible.  I.e., people who do not know that “Gospel” literally means “good news” and that “the King” with a capital K is Jesus Christ.

Trump’s pick for Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, says Christianity should have a bigger part in U.S. schooling.

ITA.  You simply cannot understand western civilization in general or our nation’s history in particular without a firm grounding in Christian beliefs.

Something awful is going to happen

Major metropolitan newspapers are running columns excusing the murder of the Russian ambassador to Turkey because Vladimir Putin is so awful.

It’s not a long drive from there to all the stories claiming Putin hacked the election for Donald Trump to some unhinged person trying to kill Donald Trump.

The media hasn’t missed an opportunity to condemn Republicans as “dangerous.” If Obama or Clinton or someone in the MSM who is influential with Democrats doesn’t condemn this rhetoric strongly and soon, then something awful is going to happen.

Maybe that’s what they want.

One thing we can be sure of … millions of McCain and Romney supporters were deeply disappointed that Obama won, but we didn’t try and trash Obama’s inaugurations.  Trump won’t be so lucky.

Hillary and the Bitter Clingers

There’s an old saying that goes, “If you want to know what Democrats are up to, just take a look at what they’re accusing Republicans of doing.” That’s exactly the case when it comes to those hardcore Clinton supporters who simply refuse to accept they lost; that people who have different opinions to theirs exist.

2016_12-21-bitter-clingers

Yes, Clinton won the popular vote. Who cares? That was never, nor should it ever be, the measure that determines who is elected president. She knew it. Her supporters knew it. Her campaign knew it. They just chose not to campaign that way.

Call it arrogance or ignorance, but Hillary spent more time in California, a state she’d have won comfortably no matter what, than Wisconsin and Michigan in the final days of the election. She and her team made that choice, consciously. Just like she chose to call half of Trump’s supporters “a basket of deplorables” who, even worse, were “irredeemable.”

No one made her do that.

Letter from a Liberal Defector

This is too good not to share in full.  The URL is at the bottom.

I want to share with you, from the liberal bastion of Northern California, that I am officially tired of the type of people who have surrounded me my entire life. In the wake of Trump’s election, I am experiencing “tribe fatigue.” I’m not tired of The Other, Detestable Tribe. I’m tired of my own.

A bit about me: I am a [deleted] with two young children. My parents were non-religious Democrats, and my ex-Catholic mom loathes organized religion to this day.

So I was raised a secular liberal. My college professors were secular liberals. During my journalism phase, my newspaper colleagues were secular liberals. My law school professors and peers were – in the vast majority – secular liberals. Almost everyone at my corporate law firm was a secular liberal. My California neighbors and friends are secular liberals, as are my colleagues. My mother, siblings, and their spouses are all secular liberals.

By all rights, I should be a member in good standing of their tribe, “liking” their Facebook posts and joining their candlelight vigils against the evil Trump Administration. But November 8 and its aftermath revealed to me that I am just so tired of these people. I can’t be like them, and I don’t want my kids turning into them.

I am tired of their undisguised contempt for tens of millions of Americans, with no effort to temper their response to the election with humility or empathy.

I am tired of their unexamined snobbery and condescension.

I am tired of their name-calling and virtue-signaling as signs of supposedly high intelligence.

I am tired of their trendiness, jumping on every left-liberal bandwagon that comes along (transgender activism, anyone?) and then acting like anyone not on board is an idiot/hater.

I am tired of their shallowness. It’s hard to have a deep conversation with people who are obsessed with moving their kids’ pawns across the board (grades, sports, college, grad school, career) and, in their spare time, entertaining themselves and taking great vacations.

I am tired of their acceptance of vulgarity and sarcastic irreverence as the cultural ocean in which their kids swim. I like pop culture as much as the next person, but people who would never raise their kids on junk food seem to think nothing of letting them wallow in cultural junk, exposed to nothing ennobling, aspirational, or even earnest.

I am tired of watching them raise clueless kids (see above) who go off to college and within months are convinced they live in a rapey, racist patriarchy; “Make America Great Again” is hate speech; and Black Lives Matter agitators are their brothers-in-arms against White Privilege. If my kids are like that at nineteen, I’ll feel I’ve seriously failed them as a parent. Yet the general sentiment seems to be these are good, liberal kids who may have gotten a bit carried away.

I am tired of their lack of interest in any form of serious morality or self-betterment. These are decent, responsible people, many compassionate by temperament. Yet they seem two-dimensional, as if they believe that being a nice, well-socialized person who holds the correct political views is all there is, and there is nothing else to talk about. Isn’t there, though?

I am tired of being bored and exasperated by everybody. I feel like I have read this book a thousand times, and there are no surprises in it. Down with Trump! Trans Lives Matter! Climate deniers are destroying the planet! No cake, we’re gluten-free!

These are good people in a lot of ways. But there has got to be a better tribe.

That leads me to . . . drum roll . . . the Christian Right. It is no small feat, switching tribes. It feels stressful and weird to abandon your tribe for the Detested Other Side.

Since November 8, my husband and I have been taking the kids to church. (He is politically conservative with a religious bent, so no argument there.) I have come this close to buying a giant poster of the American flag for the living room. I may do it still.

Right now, I am struggling to accept the basic Christian doctrines (virgin birth, resurrection, second coming) because I feel the Christian tribe may be the right tribe for my family. We just finished watching a BBC miniseries about the birth of Jesus, which was so beautiful and moving compared to secular TV. My nine-year-old really enjoyed it. I want to prepare my kids to live according to some unchanging truth, not subject to every passing trend, and this felt like a start. But I worry that an inability to believe in the supernatural aspects of the faith will limit my ability to be a “real” Christian.

Last Sunday’s sermon mentioned 1 Peter:18-19, “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors.” This may be obvious to you, but secular liberalism does seem empty in some way, despite all the things my educated, middle-class tribe has to be grateful for. If that’s what’s been handed down to me, I want more, especially for my precious kids. I’m trying.

Asses

Progs believe … I mean, really BELIEVE … in evolution.  But evolution produces people who can procreate successfully, which includes not just making babies, but also raising them to procreate successfully themselves.

It makes zero sense, then, that Progs treat abortion like some kind of sacrament, sneer at women who choose to be SAHMs, and elevate trannies and gays to some sort of Special Human status.

In the Top of the News… It’s Winter… It’s Cold

As my dear Honors English teacher, Mrs. Gladys Ford, used to say, “Your powers of observation are exceeded only by your affection for the obvious.” I sure loved that woman. Most kids hated her because she made them think or she flunked them.

D.A. Refusing to Prosecute Planned Parenthood Selling Baby Parts Was Defeated, Replacement Fires Her Staff
You may remember Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson, the faux “pro-life” Republican who refused to prosecute accused neck-twisting Houston abortionist Doug Karpen. She also later flipped a grand jury that was supposed to investigate Planned Parenthood, but instead indicted pro-life journalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt.
Daleiden and Merritt’s charges were later dismissed after it was revealed that Anderson had violated the law to indict them.
Illustrating that old adage — “What goes around comes around” — Anderson was soundly defeated in November.
But it gets better.
Her replacement has notified 40 prosecutors that their services are no longer needed.

MORE BAD NEWS FOR BABY KILLERS
Texas officially kicking Planned Parenthood out of Medicaid
Texas health officials on Tuesday delivered a final legal notice to nix the funding Planned Parenthood receives through the Medicaid program
In a move that could affect thousands of low-income women, state health officials on Tuesday delivered a final legal notice to defund the organization from the Medicaid program through which it provides family planning and women’s health services to the poor. Planned Parenthood had previously received $3.1 million in Medicaid funding, but those dollars will be nixed in 30 days, according to the notice which was obtained by The Texas Tribune.

Walker urges Trump to restore power to the states
MADISON, Wis. – Gov. Scott Walker is offering President-elect Donald Trump some Tenth Amendment advice on governing.
Walker, whose ambition for the White House was run over early by the Trump train, urges the incoming Republican president to restore state control and ease “incessant federal overreach.”

Can Republican senators get to 60 seats in 2018?
Nevertheless, the Senate already bears watching — not to see whether Democrats can retake the body in 2018, which seems unlikely now, but to see whether Republicans can strengthen their hold on the Senate and strengthen the hand of President Trump.

Scarborough Warns: Republicans Will Be ‘Wiped Out’ in 2018 if They Go Too Far Right
Scarborough drew the analogy to the 1994, and more specifically to the 2010 midterm elections, when Dems suffered cataclysmic losses after an emboldened Obama admin governed from the left in its first two years.
Scarborough misses an important point, in the view of this Insurrectionist. Dems didn’t get punished in 2010 because of the abstract notion that they governed too far to the left. They lost because their liberal policies failed. The economy remained in the doldrums. And people could see that Obamacare was heading for failure.

[CtH: A poll I saw yesterday supports the author, not Scarborough. NONE of the top issues for voters were social issues, like abortion, climate change, and gay marriage. The top ones were the economy and national security.]

Andrea Bocelli Backs Out of Trump Inauguration Performance After Backlash

The Italian tenor had reportedly been courted by Trump in person last week after a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York, and was said to be pondering the offer.
Trump is known to be a huge fan of the blind singer, and has previously booked Bocelli to perform at a private party at his club in Florida.
However, under pressure from a backlash by his fans on social media, Bocelli has now stepped back from the proposed performance.

[CtH: I’m sorry to hear he’s decided to be a spineless wimp. It only emboldens these leftist bullies to keep on doing this garbage.]

First the good news for all of you NRA members. (I include this because I didn’t even know about it, so perhaps you didn’t either.) Federal Express is offering a shipping discount for all of us! That’s really nice of them. It’s one of only many partnership deals you can receive.

The Art Of Mackin’ — Author FREAKS When Tucker Carlson Reads Passages From His Own Book
Nasheed — who writes on a variety of subjects including picking up chicks and the subversive nature of systemic racism — tweeted that Trump’s nominees include members of “a white supremacists [sic] sect that literally throw up Nazi salutes.”

I SAW THIS LAST NIGHT. CARLSON DESCRIBED HOW THIS RACE-HUSTLING SCUM WROTE ABOUT TELLING WOMEN ANYTHING IN ORDER TO CON THEM INTO LAYING DOWN AND SPREADING THEIR LEGS. HE ALSO USED THE TERM ‘ALT-RIGHT’ AT LEAST 20 TIMES DURING THE INTERVIEW. APPARENTLY HE HAS TO DEPEND ON HIS TALKING POINTS LIKE MOST LEFTARDS DO.  HE ALSO CLAIMED HIS SEDUCTION TIPS WERE “COMEDIC.” HE REITERATED THAT AT LEAST 5 TIMES.

“You say, ‘the number one lame thing men say to get sex? I love you.’ You describe this as the ‘bold lie approach,’” he continued. “And then you say this, ‘if a woman isn’t ready for sex you 1) question her maturity 2) minimize the significance of sex and 3) tell her what you want to hear.”

Pantsuit Nation members revolt after operator cashes in with book deal
IT WOULDN’T SURPRISE ME IF THIS WOMAN PLANNED ALL ALONG TO PLAY THESE IDIOTS FOR THE SHEEPLE THEY ARE.

Members of an underground pro-Hillary Clinton Facebook group are livid after the operator announced she would be cashing in on the page with a book deal.
News that Pantsuit Nation founder Libby Chamberlain would be putting out a tome next May based on comments from the popular page — which has some 4 million members — prompted a flood of angry comments calling the Brooklin, Maine, woman a sellout.

Christians Slam ‘Blasphemous’ Ornament Featuring Two Gay ‘Josephs’

THE DEMOCRATS CAN’T ACCEPT THAT THEY WERE SOUNDLY DEFEATED, IN PART, BECAUSE WHITE CHRISTIANS ARE SICK OF HAVING THIS KIND OF CRAP SHOVED IN OUR FACE AT EVERY TURN.
The ornaments either had two gay Josephs or two lesbian Marys kneeling before baby Jesus.
‘They blasphemously portray the Lord Jesus being parented by a homosexual couple. What depths will the LGBT lobby stoop to in order to try and normalise their behaviour?” Andrea Williams, chief executive of Christian Concern, a group that fights for the return of Christianity to the United Kingdom, said in the statement.

[CtH: So much for all that “tolerance” and “respect for others’ traditions” that they talk about so sanctimoniously.]

This was deleted once for violating Youtube’s policy on bullying. What it is is a spoiled brat badly in need of an ass-whoopin’.

Students of Color Conference turns into ‘oppression Olympics,’ leads to fights, canceled sessions
THIS WAS PREDICTABLE… THERE WERE NO WHITE PEOPLE INVITED TO SCREAM AT, SO THEY TURNED ON EACH OTHER

The crux of the debate centered around the conference theme: “Fighting Anti-Blackness.” Apparently it was not communicated to students that the conference would have a particular theme this year. At the event, held at UC Irvine, students of different minority groups began arguing when it became known that the conference would focus almost exclusively on discrimination against the African American community.

Trump team asks State Dept. what it spends on international environmental efforts
BILLIONS IN TAXPAYER MONEY HAS ALREADY BEEN THROWN AT THIRD WORLD TINPOTS TO “FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE’ WHEN, IN REALITY, THAT MONEY GOES INTO NUMBERED ACCOUNTS FOR THE DICTATORS. I HOPE TRUMP STOPS FUNDING THE U.N. COMPLETELY.

As part of the Paris climate agreement reached a year ago, the United States pledged to donate $3 billion over four years to the Green Climate Fund, a multinational fund aimed at helping poor nations adapt to the most severe climate impacts and develop renewable sources of energy. So far, the administration has provided $500 million to the fund.

YOU THINK YOU’VE SEEN THIS, BUT YOU HAVEN’T. IT IS AN EDIT OF THE ORIGINAL CELEBRITY WHINE-A-THON INTO A POSITIVE TRUMP MESSAGE.

The Intolerant Left

tolerance

Guy Benson:  Closing oneself off from large groups of people who may see the world differently is not a hallmark of an intellectually-curious or ideologically-confident individual, and it virtually guarantees that the ‘blocker’ will retreat further into an insular echo chamber — which may help explain why so many people seemingly cannot understand or accept that Donald Trump won the election.  The smug, judgmental, ignorant self-righteousness this mentality breeds manifests itself in various unhealthy ways, such as physical violence, system-undermining delusions, and the publication of “think” pieces with titles like, “there’s no such thing as a good Trump voter.”  And they wonder why they’ve lost.

Dumb. Dumber. Dumbest.

Two days ago, this appeared in Salon’s Twitter feed.

2016_12-16-salon

I posted it as part of my Mean. Stupid. Crass. blog yesterday, because it said Trump is president.

When Pistol Pete pointed out that it was an ISIS bomb, not an American bomb, I set out to find the source of the photo, something I only accomplished after I abandoned my initial and faulty assumption (based on the date of Salon’s tweet) that the incident was RECENT.

It’s not.  It’s from last MARCH, seven months before Donald Trump was elected and nine months before he WILL BECOME our new presidentThe headline of the story with the photo reads:

25 March 2016:  Teenage ISIS suicide bomber blows himself up at a football stadium near Baghdad, killing at least 65 people and injuring more than 60.

Please note: Pistol Pete was right. The bomb was not dropped by an American plane, as the Salon tweet suggested. An ISIS fanatic did it.

What Salon says of itself:  “Providing fearless political journalism and cultural analysis since the dawn of the digital era.”

  • What Wikipedia says: “Salon is a progressive/liberal website created by David Talbot in 1995 and part of Salon Media Group (OTCQB: SLNM). It focuses on U.S. politics and current affairs.”
  • What Paul Farhi, senior contributing writer for the American Journalism Review, says:  Salon offers “provocative (if predictably liberal) political commentary and lots of sex.”
  • What ChrissytheHyphenated, contributor at the award-winning PoliNation website, says: “Salon publishes typical progressive/liberal fake news.”

The Disgust Gags On

News:  Ivanka Trump will work out of the White House office that is usually reserved for the First Lady, because Melania plans to stay in New York with son Barron so he can continue at his old school.

Politico website’s Julia Ioffe tweeted:

“Either Trump is f***ing his daughter or he’s shirking nepotism laws. Which is worse?”

In the ensuing uproar, Politico canned Ioffe and sent a righteous memo to their writers to watch what they post on social media, because it reflects on Politico.

Now … before you get too excited about the possibility that the Slime Stream Media is cleaning up their act AT ALL, be aware that Ioffe was leaving Politico anyway to go write for The Atlantic.

Politico Reporter Lands Job at The Atlantic After Accusing Trump of Sex with Daughter [1:48]

After Politico canned her, Ioffe tweeted a faux apology in which she said,

“I do regret my phrasing.”

Conservative blogger Lori Ziganto shot back,

“Oh, really; the phrasing? Should you have used ‘banging’ instead then? Is that it? All you regret is being fired.

“One thing that 2016 has sure taught us: The Left is going above and beyond in exposing just how twisted fringe they are. And when they are bitter, the nasty reaches epic levels.”

MSNBC anchor Christopher Hayes tweeted:

“just now seeing the @juliaioffe news. Are you telling me after the last 18 months we’re gonna get the vapors because of a single tweet !?!”

Ziganto replied:

“Are you KIDDING me? You have the utter audacity to talk about vapors, Mr. Fainting Couch extraordinaire?

“The press loses its collective mind (I think they do just share ONE) over every single Trump tweet. Every. Time. Pearls are clutched, histrionics are rampant, and fainting couches have huge arse-shaped divots in them now.

“Further, how on earth can you in good conscience defend Ms. Ioffe’s reprehensible statement?  Oh, that’s right. Conscience is hard.”

“Real news” outlets actually pay these people to “cover” politics.

Chrissy the Hyphenated would like to point out at this time that Lori Ziganto counts her [Chrissy’s] brother as one of her favorite teachers ever.  Chrissy the Hyphenated is exquisitely proud of said brother for teaching actual American history and actual economics in a public school.  God alone knows how many young minds he saved from toxic liberalism.
