Monday Video Montage

Unless you’ve been camping in Outer Mongolia you have no doubt heard of Liberal Land’s collective outrage that a president would actually hit back instead of just accepting the nonstop assault on him, his administration, and his family. In their zeal to inflict as much pain as humanly possible they have ignored the fact that much of the compact with the American people that he made as a candidate he’s getting fulfilled. Withdrawing from TPP, pulling US out of the Paris climate hoax, bringing more real jobs here, building the military, stemming the hordes of illegals flooding across the border, and Obamacare will soon, hopefully, be officially buried.
Some may consider the mud fight the president is engaging in with the media gasbags to be beneath the dignity of the office. People like me are just glad to see someone who will fire back at his antagonists. If you haven’t seen the source of the left’s collective outrage, here it is:

A Commander to Be Proud Of

Barack Obama never hid his abject contempt for our military. Like the spineless coward that he is, he announced that once he ascended to his throne he would cut and run from Iraq, removing the only safeguard those people had from the savagery that is ISIS. All the blood and treasure that we sacrificed to try to stabilize that country went for nothing as he left billions in military assets which the terrorists used to butcher innocent men, women, and children. He slashed our manpower, cut their budgets, and reduced our defenses to a point we could not sustain a war on two fronts. He knew not a damn thing about military strategy, but ignored what his generals, who knew what they were doing. He was just sooo damn smart. And the media went right along with him. I prayed for our warriors like Chrissy’s daughters and Grunt’s son.
Of all the people who breathed a sigh of relief when Trump was elected, our soldiers were among those most pleased. They knew they finally had a Commander-in-Chief who loved and respected them.

Perhaps there is no better window on the awfulness of the self-appointed New York-to-DC ruling class than MSNBC’s Morning Joe. The show revolves around a collection of chattering-class bores who devote the start of their day to seconding each other’s shallow and smug criticisms of Trump. The women make faces; the men roll their eyes.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski is a feminist who lectures other women on the need to show firmness in a man’s world. Yet she spends most of the show acting like a prim, entitled Victorian-era dingbat on a fainting couch. She grips her chair for balance while she makes faux-terrified faces, then turns to “Joe” for guidance on how to address this or that Trump “outrage.” “Joe” is the vainglorious former Congressman Joe Scarborough. The two are engaged, but one suspects the relationship won’t last Trump’s two terms.
Scarborough resembles a beady-eyed frat boy whom one can more easily imagine bellowing over a keg than cracking open a serious book. Yet he casts himself as Trump’s moral and intellectual better. Trump, you see, lacks Joe’s “substance.”

American Pravda: Part 3

Project Veritas’ newest video from the American Pravda: CNN series exposes Jimmy Carr, the Associate Producer for CNN’s New Day, attacking President Donald Trump, admitting that CNN has a left-leaning bias, and that he thinks voters are “stupid as s**t.”

Carr says of CNN’s views on President Trump:

“On the inside, we all recognize he is a clown that he is hilariously unqualified for this. He’s really bad at this and that he does not have America’s best interests. We recognize he’s just f***ing crazy.”

That’s rich coming from anyone who supported Obama’s tenure in the Oval Office. At least Donald Trump has accomplished real things in the real world. Barack Obama’s resumé was a joke when he ran of president and IMO could still fit on the back of a postage stamp.

The section on “selective editing” that starts at about 5:30 is well worth watching.

Obama-appointed judges blocking Trump’s immigration crackdown

LAWS ONLY MATTER IF YOU RESPECT THEM. OBAMA NEVER DID. NEITHER DO HIS JUDGES.

The judges in those deportation cases have rejected Mr. Trump’s argument that he has wide latitude to decide who gets kicked out, without having to worry about district courts second-guessing him on facts of the case.  Instead, the judges said, they get to decide their jurisdiction, and that extends to reviewing Mr. Trump’s immigration policy.

For low-income residents, Philadelphia unveiling income-based water bills

The Philadelphia Water Department next month will launch a low-income assistance program that offers payments starting at $12 per month and is open even to those who haven’t fallen behind on their bills. For those who have, that debt would be frozen indefinitely.

Officials are hoping to enroll upward of 50,000 households, five times those in the city’s current program for low-income payers.

Trump won bigly when the Supreme Court UNANIMOUSLY agreed to substantially lift the injunctions until they can hear the Trump Travel Order cases.

The Constitution gives POTUS the statutory power to exclude persons from the U.S. The lower courts effectively took that power away, and substituted their own judgments as to security threats.

Lefties are whining about how this isn’t America, or something. Puh-leeze. When even the most Leftie justices on the Supreme Court vote with the majority, you should wake up and smell the coffee.

“The most trusted name in news” has become a pathetic joke. In its zeal to bring down Republicans in general and Donald Trump in particular, they have stooped to quoting “unnamed sources” and “anonymous tips,”  which is code for Obama holdovers leaking information to harm the administration. They behave like spoiled children at press briefings when they are not given the deference they feel they’re entitled to. It’s gotten to the point the briefings are no longer daily nor televised.

James O’Keefe from Project Veritas has done yeoman’s work for years exposing the Left for the liars and frauds they truly are. He taped a CNN producer admitting the Trump/Russia collusion stories are “mostly bullshit.”

Three journalists quit CNN in fallout from retracted Russia story


Reporter Thomas Frank, editor Eric Lichtblau and executive editor Lex Haris all resigned from their positions following a company-wide investigation into the single-sourced story that was quickly debunked, The Washington Post first reported. CNN quickly followed up with a story of their own on the resignations.

Lichtblau reportedly oversaw the false story, while Haris headed up CNN’s investigative unit.  In the retraction, the network said the story “did not meet CNN’s editorial standards.” The network is now requiring approval from two top editors before any Russia-related story can be published.

A Big Day for America at SCOTUS

When Justice Antonin Scalia died suddenly last year, I was heartbroken. Perhaps crestfallen isn’t too strong a word. We had lost a staunch, unapologetic conservative voice. With the prospect of a Hillary Clinton dictatorship hanging over our heads, all I could see was the court lurching even farther to the left. At the time no one could foresee the phenomenon that would be Donald Trump stunning the entire world by soundly thumping Obama’s heir apparent. I do not believe another person in the country would have had what it took to win … brash, determined, a viable message of success for the American worker and the guts to tell the chattering class to kiss his ass, political correctness be damned. Remarkably, Mitch McConnell put off hearings on Scalia’s replacement over the wailing and gnashing of teeth by Democrats demanding Obama get the chance to plant another liberal shill on the court.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion and explicitly said that denying money for religious reasons is unconstitutional.

“The exclusion of Trinity Lutheran from a public benefit for which it is otherwise qualified, solely because it is a church, is odious to our Constitution … and cannot stand,” Roberts wrote.

Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor dissented from the majority. Sotomayor read her dissent from the bench and argued that the ruling imperils the separation of church and state.

Supreme Court Will Hear a Same-Sex Wedding Cake Case

After turning down similar appeals, the justices have decided to take on this case.

Back in 2012, Charlie Craig and David Mullins asked Phillips to make them a wedding cake. The two “planned to marry in Massachusetts but then have a reception in their home state of Colorado.” They had to marry in another state because Colorado did not even recognize same-sex unions until 2014.

Phillips said no since “it would violate his religious beliefs.”

Buzzfeed continued:

Represented by the ACLU, the couple filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, which found in 2014 the baker ran afoul of the state law banning discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.  A Colorado appeals court upheld that decision, saying that if the baker “wishes to operate as a public accommodation and conduct business within the State of Colorado, [the ColoradoAnti-Discrimination Act] prohibits it from picking and choosing customers based on their sexual orientation.”

The court added the law “does not impose burdens on religious conduct not imposed on secular conduct.”

The Alliance Defending Freedom may bring another appeal to the Supreme Court. Its lawyers represent “a florist in Washington State who turned away a gay couple seeking flowers for their wedding.” The state supreme court ruled against her and the group has stated that it will “appeal to the Supreme Court.”

Supreme Court declines to take up two Second Amendment cases

The Supreme Court declined Monday to take up two Second Amendment cases for next term.

The first case dealt with a San Diego ordinance that required San Diego gun owners to have a good reason to carry a concealed firearm outside the home.

The second case concerned two men from Pennsylvania who challenged the scope of a federal law that bans felons and some individuals charged with misdemeanors from possessing firearms.
