The Democratic party chose their new leader yesterday. The white-hating, Clinton- and Obama-backed, communist candidate, Tom Perez, defeated the Jew-hating, Sanders-, Schumer- and Black Lives Matter-backed, Muslim candidate, Keith Ellison.  Perez’ first act as DNC Chair was to suck up to the Muslim Ellison and make him his co-chair.

“We don’t have the luxury of walking out of this room divided,” Ellison said over the jeers. Afterward, he told reporters he trusts Perez and that the burgeoning resistance movement aimed at President Donald Trump should do the same.

New DNC Chair, Tom Perez, fits right in with the values of the Democratic party, especially when it comes to victimizing minorities and labeling white people as privileged.

An investigation into Perez revealed extreme views he holds according to A Review of the Operations of the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division conducted by the Office of the Inspector General Oversight and Review Division in March of 2013.

Perez told investigators that white people were not entitled to protection under the Voting Rights Act according to a report from the Washington Free Beacon.

Trump: DNC chairman’s race ‘rigged’

The race split along establishment-grassroots lines and in many ways mirrored the divisive 2016 presidential primary between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Hillary Clinton.

Sanders and many of his allies backed Ellison, the first-ever Muslim elected to Congress and a star on the left.

“Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!” Trump tweeted on Sunday, sparking a response from the new DNC chairman.

In response, Perez, the former Obama labor secretary, told Trump to wipe the grin off his face. He, his deputy chair Keith Ellison, and all Democrats are now a united front, he argued.

Call me Tom. And don’t get too happy. @keithellison and I, and Democrats united across the country, will be your worst nightmare.

Perez can talk a big game, but even his own party is dissatisfied with the new leadership. The former labor secretary, they argue, represents the establishment wing of the party. Ellison would have been the only true “grassroots” leader. What’s more, the DNC voted to continue allowing corporate cash to flow in, proving they’re not so “progressive” after all.

News of the Day

Two events of note today:

First, and most important (to ME anyway), today marks 22 years I’ve officially been a pain in my wife’s backside. She gets looks of sympathy from everybody from my family to the checkout people at Walmart. I sit on a scooter at the end of the checkout as she’s paying for her purchases and crack wise. The looks of pity she gets from total strangers are priceless.

Second, today is the day the DNC chooses the next socialist to send the party farther into the wilderness. The choices are Tom Perez, a friend of the Clintons, Joe Biden, and Eric Holder, OR Keith Ellison, the anti-Semitic, hard-left, community-organizing Muslim who is backed by Bernie Sanders, Upchuck Schumer, and the rest of the usual suspects. It matters not a whit who they choose because their message of violence, intolerance, and total government control will never change.

Michael Moore endorses Ellison for DNC chair: Party needs ‘fresh blood’
Moore went on to lay out why he believes Ellison is the best suited to lead the DNC.“He’s from the Midwest,” Moore said. “Before he was a congressman in Minnesota, he helped turn Minnesota from what was then a red state into a blue state. He did political neighborhood organizing in the state of Minnesota. We need an organizer who is going to bring people out and turn this party around.”

The Case for Tom Perez Makes No Sense
His supporters say he’s just as progressive as Keith Ellison. So why bother fielding him at all?  Ellison has captured the support of the left wing. Ellison backed Sanders early in his primary race against Hillary Clinton, and was one of the first candidates to announce his bid for DNC chair. The Hill reports, “Perez supporters have expressed concern about handing the party over to the Sanders wing of the party, arguing that Ellison would move the party too far to the left.” And the New York Times suggests that Democratic leaders pushed Perez to run because they viewed Ellison as too close to the Sanders wing.

The Sanders vs. Clinton schism in the Democratic party isn’t going away

Keith Ellison is the progressive choice being supported by Sanders himself. As Ed noted yesterday, Ellison is already taking a far left line, pushing for impeachment of President Trump (who has also offered a semi-endorsement of Ellison). But moderates in the party don’t like Ellison much.
Case in point, today Alan Dershowitz wrote a piece for the Hill threatening to leave the party if Ellison becomes chairman:
“There has been powerful push from the hard-left of the Democratic Party, led by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), to elect Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) chairman. If he is elected, I will quit the party after 60 years of loyal association and voting.”

There are believed to be several dozen members that are not on hand who instead sent proxies to register their votes.

“If we lose, a new Republican majority will take power and rubber-stamp every single one of Trump’s hateful policies,” the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee said in a recent fundraising letter. “They’ll grind all our progress to a halt.”

Street Artist Mocks Hollywood And The Oscars With Fake Movie Posters
Conservative artist Sabo created fake movie posters to mock Hollywood and the Oscars ahead of Sunday’s show to send a message to celebrities who keep attacking President Donald Trump.

The Los Angeles based street artist plastered the movie posters and “fake Redbox kiosks” Thursday night he created in “hard to reach places” near where celebrities will be walking the red carpet at the 89th Academy Awards show, according to the Hollywood Reporter.


“Yeah, we wouldn’t have paid full price to watch any Oscar nominated movies either,” one of the sayings on the fake RedBox kiosks read.
“These pieces look so legit no one is thinking to take them down,” Sabo said. “It almost looks like a real Redbox ad. I consider this piece my representation of the discounting of Hollywood.”

Spicer: President Trump Will Not Watch The Academy Awards This Year

President Trump will not watch the Academy Awards Sunday night, press secretary Sean Spicer said at the briefing Wednesday.
“I’ve got to be honest with you, I think the president will be hosting the Governors Ball that night,” Spicer said when asked if Trump would be watching. “The first lady has put a lot of time into this event, welcoming our nation’s governors to the capital. I have a feeling that’s where the president and first lady are going to be focused on Sunday night, so we’ll go from there.”

Before that, Spicer was asked why he thinks celebrities like Meryl Streep give politically charged speeches from the stage at awards shows.

“I have no idea. It’s a free country. I think Hollywood is known for being rather far to the left in its opinions.”

So expect the squeals of the media to grow in proportion to Trump’s exposure of its fraudulence. Bret Stephens and company can pompously say that Trump is an opponent of “objectivity itself.” But all that means is that he rejects their phony claims of objectivity and impedes their partisan wishes.

NBC uses a group of school children to make a video trashing Trump

If you ask NBC News, it seems American schoolchildren do not like President Donald Trump.  In two videos released by the network, students deliver their “hopes and fears” to the new president in predominantly negative comments.

“Just because I’m Mexican doesn’t mean you can build a wall in my country,” a young girl said in “Dear Mr. President: Letters from the American Children.”

“Not letting immigrants into America is really not nice, so please let them in,” another young boy said.

Trump was telling the truth about Sweden

Just hours after Sweden’s Prime Minister slammed Donald Trump for claiming Sweden was in crisis because of its liberal refugee policy, a riot broke out in a refugee-heavy suburb of Stockholm.

When police tried to arrest a wanted person, a mob of about 30 attacked the officers and set ten cars on fire.

A group also attacked a photographer who was reporting on the incident.  “I was hit with a lot of punches and kicks both to my body and my head. I have spent the night in hospital,” he said.

Officials have identified more than 50 “no go” areas of Sweden where they admit they do not have control over the unruly refugee populations.

About ten days ago, police officers were assaulted by a mob. Three of the officers had to be hospitalized for their injuries.

One Swedish police officer took to Facebook to share his frustration.

“I’m so f***** tired. What I’m writing here isn’t politically correct. But I don’t care. Our pensioners are on their knees, the schools are a mess, healthcare is an inferno, the police is completely destroyed. Everyone knows why, but no one dares or wants to say why.”

Florida Teacher Reassigned After Making Pro-Trump Facebook Post Supporting Mass Deportation During School Hours

Veronica Fleming was removed from her role as a computer lab teacher and assigned to administrative duties after she wrote that “glad about massive deportation” because it means there will be “less mouths to feed.”
The teacher taught at Parkside Elementary School, where 96 percent of students are minorities. Her post caused outrage among parents at the school, where 70 percent of students are Latino and 20 percent are Haitian.
Fleming is believed to have posted the status during school hours as she taught students who could be affected by deportation.
A petition calling for her firing has reached over 3,000 signatures.

New York Teacher Disciplined for Anti-Trump Vocabulary Assignment
A teacher from a Staten Island, New York school has been disciplined after giving her students a vocabulary assignment that contained an anti-Trump question.

Adria Zawatsky, a veteran sixth-grade English teacher at Paulo Intermediate School (I.S. 75) received a letter of reprimand following a meeting with the school’s principal, Kenneth Zapata.

Zawatsky, who earns a six-figure annual salary, was disciplined after parent Vincent Ungro of Annadale reported to the Staten Island Advance that his 11-year-old daughter brought home a vocabulary assignment with the following fill-in-the-blank statements:

“President Trump speaks in a very superior and _________ manner insulting many people. He needs to be more __________ so that the American people respect and admire him.”
The choices students were given to respond to the statements were the words, “haughty” and “humble.”

A second statement which read, “Barack Obama set a _________ when he became the first African American president,” was supposed to be completed with the word “precedent.”

Ungro instructed his daughter not to complete the three statements regarding Trump and Obama. He added his own hand-written note to the teacher on the assignment that read, “Please keep your political views to yourself and do not try to influence my daughter.”
Firstly, I do not believe I was expressing a political view at all on my vocabulary sheet. My reference to President Trump was about his personality traits rather than his ability as a president.

The media is nonstop on very similar references. This is considered freedom of speech and I feel I have the same right as they do.

Why Professors Object to Being Recorded
Olga Perez Stable Cox, went into an extended hate-rant against the president-elect. Among other things, she described the Trump election as an “act of terrorism,” labelled him a “white supremacist” and called Vice-President-Elect Mike Pence “one of the most anti-gay humans in this country.”
When a student who recorded the diatribe posted the recording on social media, the professor’s union, the Coast Federation of Educators, AFT local chapter 1911, posted this message on Facebook:
“This is an illegal recording without the permission of the instructor. The student will be identified and may be facing legal action.”
The aforementioned California Educational Code states:
“The use by any person, including a student, of any electronic listening or recording device in any classroom without the prior consent of the instructor is prohibited. . . .”
They fear having what they say exposed to the general public.
Our colleges, universities, (and an increasing number of high schools and elementary schools) have been transformed from educational institutions into indoctrination institutions. With the left-wing takeover of universities, their primary aim has become graduating as many leftists as possible.
Thus, in the “social sciences” – disciplines outside the natural sciences and math – a large number of college teachers inject their politics into their classrooms. And if they are recorded, the general public will become aware of just how politicized their classroom lectures are.
Most professors objecting to being recorded know on some level that they are persuasive only when their audience is composed largely of very young people just out of high school. They know that if their ideas are exposed to adults, they may be revealed as intellectual lightweights.

We are officially one month into President Donald J. Trump’s Administration, and it has been a very successful start.

President Trump has focused on jumpstarting job creation and saving taxpayers money, by withdrawing the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and clearing roadblocks delaying the Keystone Pipeline’s construction. Along with Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, President Trump created the United States-Canada Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders, to ensure that all Americans have ample opportunities in the workforce.

In a first step to unraveling the Obama-era regulations, President Trump signed two bills to roll back regulations and issued an executive order requiring that for every new regulation created, two must be eliminated.

President Trump has successfully coordinated with several companies to bring thousands of jobs back to America, and saved Americans over $700 million by negotiating lower costs for the F-35 fighters.

President Trump has also taken great strides in domestic security by signing executive orders that focus on reducing crime, restoring public safety, dismantling transnational criminal organizations and protecting our brave law enforcement officials.

Looking to national security, President Trump has directed his Secretary of Defense to devise a strategy to defeat ISIS, overseen the imposition of sanctions on more than 25 individuals and entities that threaten America’s national security, and strategized with more than 30 foreign leaders about our shared security concerns.

Lastly, following on the impeccable legacy of Justice Antonin Scalia, President Trump nominated the brilliant Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

President Donald J. Trump has spent the last month fulfilling promises and helping the American people. He’s looking forward to the many more successful months and years of action to come.

They like him; they really like him. At least, that’s what he’s convinced himself of in his own delusional mind. Recall when he was defeated by George W. Bush for the Republican nomination in 2000 and had to wait his turn in 2008. At that time he famously stated that the media was his voting base. It never once dawned on him that the only reason they tolerated having him around was to bash his own party, especially for W., which they held in bitter contempt after the Democrats tried unsuccessfully to steal the Florida vote, hence the presidency.

McCain has never met a media ass he wouldn’t kiss or an ally he wouldn’t betray. I did a piece about him on this blog a few months ago. In case you’ve forgotten, he was Russ Feingold’s co-conspirator on the infamous legislation to “get money out of politics.” Even though the problem was politicians who could be swayed by the filthy euchre. Just what is the Keating Five scandal?

Senator John McCain was one of five senators accused of corruption in 1989 in the Savings and Loan (S&L) crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The other four senators were Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI). The crisis was the failure of 747 S&Ls in the United States costing an estimated $160.1 billion, about $124.6 billion of which was directly paid for by U.S. taxpayers.

These five senators were accused of improperly intervening before the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB) in 1987 on behalf of Charles Keating, chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was a target of a regulatory investigation by the FHLBB. The FHLBB subsequently backed off taking action against Lincoln. By failing to take action, Lincoln was able to operate for two more years until its collapse in 1989, at a cost of $2 billion to the federal government. Some 23,000 Lincoln bondholders were defrauded and many elderly investors lost their life savings.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) blasted fellow Republican and anti-Trump Senator John McCain (R-AZ) this morning on ABC’s “This Week.”

Paul said that McCain’s recent criticisms of Trump are driven by his “personal dispute” with the president over foreign policy.

It was rich stuff, given that most of his European listeners do not have the same wide press freedoms found in the states. But more to the point, it was McCain up to his old tricks: Ingratiating himself to the anti-Trump press by playing its champion, in a bid to be the media’s darling.

What stands out here is the hypocrisy of his claims. He’s suddenly concerned about press freedoms and dictators?
Where was McCain when President Obama was systematically violating press freedoms every which way to Tuesday?

Seven examples of Obama’s attacks on a free press spring to mind and not one of them drew any significant criticism from McCain.

McCain has ‘more hope than belief’ that GOP can investigate Trump White House

McCain, R-Ariz., was asked if he was confident the GOP majority in Congress was able to thoroughly look into the relationship between members of the White House and Russia.

“I hope so. And I have to believe so,” he said in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” that aired on Sunday. “More hope than belief.”
And I think the rollout of the, quote, ‘immigration reform’ was an example of a need for an orderly decision-making process in the White House. And that, I think, is probably what’s plaguing them more than anything else right now,” McCain said.

As for understanding the issues, again I think that McCain seriously underestimates Trump and has read him completely wrong. What’s more, I think a lot of John McCain’s hot air is his attempt to stay relevant and be in the limelight.

The strains in the European Union over Brexit and refugees are strains of their own making. Trump puts America first and frankly, I don’t give a rat’s ass if that upsets them. And I’ll say it again, the Cold War never ended, it shifted. These bozos just don’t get it and it is very, very dangerous. The executive order on refugees could have been rolled out better, but the substance of that order was constitutional and something that is necessary for the survival of this country. McCain needs to stop dissing the President and start looking for how he can help improve things.
