The left are busily claiming the St. Louis County deputies got what they deserved because they’re all racist,or something. Liveshot Kerry is still whining about the non-existent climate change “crisis” and Barry and his brood sow continue to play television stars on a bizarre reality show. Take a break from the depressing stuff and check out some of these links. You’ll come away thinking, maybe you’re not as strange as you thought you were.

THANK YOU ALL
Thank you all. First, for your continued prayers for my grandson. I know in my heart he’ll beat this cancer thing. I just know it.
Second, thank you for sharing some of your childhood memories. Being an exhibitor, be it as an arts and crafts fair, flea market, antique show, or toy show takes an awful lot of work. You need to make/find merchandise to sell, tag it, pack it, transport, set tables up, stay in your selling space all day and re-pack everything that didn’t sell and haul it home. Sometimes you make a profit, sometimes you don’t. What with the popularity of the internet people are finding other means to buy what they’re looking for. The reason I got into selling toys is that it was something fun (most of the time),I met a lot of dealers with much knowledge to impart that you would never get from a book, and mostly seeing the smiles on peoples’ faces when they see something that once brought them great joy during an innocent and carefree youth. I always maintained,if you can’t have fun selling toys, why are you doing it? I would hear lots of stories like those you posted yesterday about a favorite doll, truck or game. Therein lies the value in them. It’s a happy part of our past and we need to hang on to it in today’s world. If you don’t mind,I’d like to do a post from time to time about these wonderful things and maybe give you some information you didn’t have before. I really enjoy it because I never completely grew up at heart.
[Added by CtH: Snopes says Carville never said this. But given Snopes’ left bias, I think if Carville didn’t say this, he probably thinks it. It’s like “fake but accurate”, you know? Wait, where did we hear that line before?]

MEMORY LANE… THE TOYBOX
I decided to forego the regular post today. It’s getting tiring posting a bunch of crap about BB’s “scandals.” Let’s be clear — these are not scandals. This is criminal behavior and it’s who she is. It’s just sickening.
So I decided to post some memories of the things we played with that didn’t require batteries or WiFi to work. I’ll include a little information since I used to deal in vintage toys and am an expert in cap guns.
Mattel released the first Barbie in 1959. The first six years they were numbered Barbie#1 through #6. They were made in Japan before the manufacture was moved to China. All the features, nails, lips, and eyes, were all hand-painted. The first two dolls had holes in the feet for the special stands that came with them. Ladies…search your attic. This is the #1 blonde ponytail Barbie. If you have her in the box with the wrist tag and stand, you’re looking at north of $5,000.

This is the Mattel Fanner 50. When I started collecting, this was the first one I bought, since I said the same thing everybody would tell me at the toy shows I did: ‘I used to have one of these.’ It wasn’t a particularly well made toy, but Mattel recognized the value of advertising on Saturday morning cartoon shows, and they were fairly inexpensive. They sold over 40 million of them. With the single holster in the box was about $2.50. Today in mint condition this is worth about $200.00.

THE KENNER GIVE-A-SHOW PROJECTOR c. 1961.

The 1960’s Wooly Willy. Somebody had the idea to enclose some steel shavings and take a magnet so you could move them around to make beards and hair on the face. They sold millions of these.

These were 19 cents. The elastic string always broke. Granny still found.. uh… uses for the paddle.

I had a Joe Palooka bop bag. There was sand in the bottom so when you hit it it popped right back up. Great way to work off aggression, even though we didn’t know what it was called. Note the aluminum Christmas tree with the color wheel in the background.

Magic Slates…so simple, but we played with them for hours

FRIDAY NEWS AND SILLINESS
So the original plan yesterday was to meet my cousin, her sister, and their dad,my late Aunt Gloria’s husband, for breakfast at the local restaurant we meet at. I called Uncle Roger and invited him to meet us there. Then mama broke a tooth and I missed meeting them. My cousin sent me a picture of them and a message from Roger saying “you shouldn’t have hit your wife in the mouth so hard!” I tried without success to send LOL back in a text message. So I asked the dentist’s receptionist if she could do it for me. After looking at me as if she were incredulous that a) I didn’t know how to text and b) I still used a flip phone, she did it. My cousin called soon after and said we’d get together next week. I was glad Roger made it to see them. He said he’d not talked to Bob in more than 30 years. I’m as determined as ever to get everybody together this summer. We’re all in our 60’s and have children and grandchildren. It’s important that they know where they come from now,or the opportunity will be lost forever.
I ADORE THESE TWO. ROGER IS THE ONE ON THE LEFT WITH THE SNOW WHITE HAIR. HIS WIFE STILL WORKS FULL TIME. LORD KNOWS THEY DON’T NEED THE MONEY,SHE JUST STILL LOVES TO WORK. BOB WAS AN ASSISTANT SCOUTMASTER FOR MY BOY SCOUT TROOP. ON CAMPOUTS,WE KIDS WOULD DO OUR SCOUT STUFF AND THE GROWNUPS WOULD SIT IN A TENT SMOKING CIGARS AND PLAYING CARDS (AFTER SUPPER,OF COURSE). THEY BOTH STILL LOOK DAMN GOOD FOR BEING IN THEIR 80’S.

CALL ME LAWRENCE NIGHTINGALE
DW bit into a sammich Tuesday and broke a tooth. I had to take her to the dentist this AM for surgery to extract it. When I got her home I had to run to Wally World to get the antibiotics and pain medication filled. I fixed her some jello, have some pudding and will make some soup for her dinner. She’s been resting on the couch, being waited on hand and foot. I don’t get much of a chance to spoil her,so she takes advantage of it.
Today is supposed to be the last cold day for awhile,so here’s hoping.

CALL ME A PESSIMIST
Or maybe it’s just a case of terminal disillusionment.
For more than six gut-wrenching years the lop-eared Kenyan has flaunted his lawlessness in our faces, grinning all the while because he knows he has nothing to fear given the cowardice/duplicity of republicans and a media who have sworn a blood oath to protect him at all costs. He’s often bragged if Congress won’t help him demolish the constitution he’ll do it himself. And he has.
From 2008-2010 he had carte blanche to do anything he wanted because of democrat majorities in both houses. The GOP got a majority in the House in 2010,but he wasn’t fazed an iota. He has Reid to stop any legislation from coming to the Senate floor so he could rule by executive fiat. You know the rest of the story.
Now comes the Butcher of Benghazi, primed and ready to take over the kingdom,or what’s left of it when Obastard wings his way to Hawaii for endless golfing and speaking engagements at about a quarter mil per. The private e-mail accounts set up explicitely to hide any evidence about the slaughter of Americans she facilitated would disqualify anybody but her. Living with a pathological liar and rapist can be rewarding if he’s charming and politically savvy (read: 100%phony bullshit artist).
The House surrendered and gave Barry funding for his illegal amnesty takeover. It seems the outcome was pre-ordained and they were planning on caving in all along. SCOTUS is hearing arguments today that could nullify Obamacare. Don’t get your hopes up. Obama has Roberts in his back pocket, probably because he has something to blackmail him with. That’s how he gets what he wants.
The left has been playing more than half the country for willfully ignorant, apathetic, gullible consumers of all the free government stuff that the dwindling pool of working, taxpaying people provide for decades. They’ve never been disappointed. That’s why Hillary will be the next Caesar.

HAPPY MONDAY
It has been revealed that the leader of the free world had threatened to shoot down Israeli jets if they tried to attack Iran’s nuclear facility. This may or may not be a true account but the telling thing is that with this muslim terrorist,it is actually possible. You would never dream of saying that about any other president.
Netanyahu is addressing Congress tomorrow and his speech is the hottest ticket in town, the obstinate showboating of the democrat muckrakers notwithstanding. Much more on this after tomorrow’s events.
THIS PICTURE IS NOT REAL!!!IT HAS BEEN ALTERED

IT’S OVER
As usual,my best buddy is all over the continuing wanton and wilfull destruction of our way of life by the muslim sonofabitch in the White Hut. Chrissy uses graphics and bold,multi-colored script when I cannot and neatly lists her sources. What she doesn’t have,as a solid Christian woman, is the propensity to use artfully colorful verbiage to convey one’s true feelings. I suffer no such compunction.
On a strict party line 3-2 vote the democrats, led by Obama’s personal,hand-picked bitch,Tom Wheeler stomped on the accelerator and crashed a free and open internet into the brick wall of government regulators answerable to no one. We all knew after Barry stole his reelection things would be bad. As cynical as I am even I underestimated the savage brutality he would unleash on the nation that gave him everything.
THESE SIGNS WERE SEEN ALL OVER D.C. YESTERDAY:

Republicans Fear Net Neutrality Plan Could Lead to UN Internet Powers
An Obama administration official dismisses any link between the FCC’s rules and international authority over the Internet.
WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THIS BEFORE?
Countries like Russia already have made it clear that they want the International Telecommunications Union or another United Nations body to have more power over the Internet, Thune said.
He acknowledged that countries like China and Russia are actively looking for ways to claim more power over the Internet through the UN. But there’s nothing inconsistent about the U.S. opposing those efforts and supporting tough net neutrality rules, he argued.

IN ANOTHER BIT OF TREACHERY,THREE RINOS,THEIR DAGGERS FIRMLY IMPLANTED IN THE BACKS OF CONSERVATIVES,SIDED WITH THE DEMORATS TO SEND THE NOMINATION OF THE LATEST VICIOUS,WHITE-HATING OBAMA STOOGE,LORETTA LYNCH,TO THE FLOOR OF THE SENATE FOR A FULL VOTE.
The three defectors: Jeff Flake and Lindsey Graham, both members of the Senate’s Gang of Eight on immigration, and Orrin Hatch, who sold himself as Mr. Conservative to Utah tea partiers in 2012 in order to avoid being primaried.
Her nomination is a foregone conclusion, given the support of these three losers, along with the likes of McAmnesty,Collins and Kirk,to name a few. They all exhorted us to give them the majority in the Senate, apparently since committee heads make more money. That’s the only appreciable difference.

IT WAS TWENTY YEARS AGO TODAY
I stood before the pastor, our best friends and Almighty God and swore to my beloved child bride to love, honor, obey, and be a monumental pain in the ass for the rest of my natural life. During the course of our lifetimes we have had many acquaintances, friends and in most cases, some lovers. It took 45 years and three bad marriages to find my best friend forever. In all our years we’ve never had what you would call a really serious fight. Neither of us are wired that way. We’d both been around long enough to know the realities of marriage and knew when something was broke you fixed it,not just throw it away.
She has a daughter and son who were teenagers when we married and I look at them as my own. Her daughter (Isabel and Olivia’s mom) bonded instantly. Her son took some time and effort. He was never used to having another male in the house and he had to learn that the old bull still had enough powder in his horn to rule the roost (mixed metaphors…it’s what I do). Eventually we made peace and now I call him the son I never had.
Some people get lucky and find the right one early in life. Some don’t until their later years and some never find a true life partner ever. We’ve had some money in the bank and we’ve been down to less than nothing. We always made it somehow,I suspect, because we had each other, our family and our faith to see things through. My time on earth is growing short but I will spend whatever is left of my life with the bestest buddy I could ever find.
DW ALWAYS SAYS ONE OF THE REASONS SHE MARRIED ME IS BECAUSE I CAN ALWAYS MAKE HER LAUGH. I CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHY.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END
It will take place Thursday without much fanfare in the media. It will signal the Chosen One’s greatest usurpation of power since Obamacare. The FCC is set to vote on new ‘net neutrality’ rules which will make broadband more expensive, far slower and the point of the whole thing is to impose regulations to restrict the free speech rights of ordinary citizens. You can’t say the bastard didn’t have a plan to completely dismantle our liberties. For a long time the FCC had four members, two democrats and two republicans and not much happened. Then,if memory serves,he used one of his infamous recess appointments to install his personal stooge to tip the balance to do his bidding. He’s seized healthcare, will push amnesty through,is handing Iran nuclear weapons capability,is bent on sacrificing Israel for the ambitions of his muslim brothers and he’s about to make sure dissent of the government is stifled. This blog has been a big part of my life for a very long time. I don’t have much time left and at this point the future is in somebody else’s hands. There’s nothing we can do about it.
Republican FCC Commissioners Ask Wheeler To Delay Net Neutrality Vote, Release Proposal
Three days before the Federal Communications Commission is scheduled to vote on the most significant Internet regulations in history, two commissioners are asking Chairman Tom Wheeler to delay the vote and release his proposal to the public.
“We respectfully request that FCC leadership immediately release the 332-page Internet regulation plan publicly and allow the American people a reasonable period of not less than 30 days to carefully study it,” Republican Commissioners Ajit Pai and Michael O’Rielly said in a statement Monday. “Then, after the commission reviews the specific input it receives from the American public and makes any modifications to the plan as appropriate, we could proceed to a final vote.” (RELATED: FCC/FEC Commissioners: Net Neutrality Regs Threaten Political Free Speech Online)
The commission is set to vote on Wheeler’s aggressive proposal — which will regulate Internet service providers as public utilities and set new standards for speed and pricing — on Thursday, when it is expected to pass by a partisan vote of 3-2. (RELATED: Republican FCC Commissioner Slams ‘Obama’s 332-Page Plan To Regulate The Internet’)
“With the future of the entire Internet at stake, it is imperative that the FCC get this right,” the commissioners said. “And to do that, we must live up to the highest standards of transparency. Transparency is particularly important here because the plan in front of us right now is so drastically different than the proposal the FCC adopted and put out for public comment last May.” (RELATED: FCC Votes For New ‘Net Neutrality’ Regulations)
The FCC traditionally never releases proposed regulations prior to their implementation, prompting Pai to spend the weeks since Wheeler laid out the foundation of the plan to point out its most aggressive regulations in press releases and op-eds with commissioners from fellow agencies. (RELATED: FCC/FTC Commissioners: ‘The Internet Isn’t Broken, And We Don’t Need The President’s Plan To ‘Fix’ It)
Obama’s regs will make Internet slow as in Europe, warn FCC, FEC commissioners

“These Internet regulations will deter broadband deployment, depress network investment and slow broadband speeds. How do we know? Compare Europe, which has long had utility-style regulations, with the United States, which has embraced a light-touch regulatory model. Broadband speeds in the United States, both wired and wireless, are significantly faster than those in Europe. Broadband investment in the United States is several multiples that of Europe. And broadband’s reach is much wider in the United States, despite its much lower population density,” the two wrote.
They also joined to warn about the Democrat-chaired Federal Election Commission eyeing regulation of political speech on the Internet.
There are days when I should just leave well enough alone. This may be one of those days.
