What We Know So Far For Sure

  1. Starting in 2010, the most powerful leaders of the Democratic Party — President Obama, Senators Durbin, Schumer and Levin, Representative Elijah Cummings — ran a ceaseless campaign pressuring the IRS to silence Conservative groups.
  2. Lois Lerner, the former head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS doing the actual targeting, was at the epicenter of the effort. When questioned by Congress, Lois Lerner refused to answer questions, claiming she had a Fifth Amendment right to silence. The IRS then claimed they suspended Lerner when, in fact, they had put her on a leave at full pay. Lerner has since taken retirement with a $50,000+ annual pension.
  3. Ten days after receiving the first inquiry from Congress in June 2011, the hard drives of Lois Lerner and a host of people she’d emailed during the previous two years abruptly “crashed” and were quickly destroyed. (Since when does any government agency get around to doing anything quickly, much less something as inane as destroying dead hard drives?)
  4. When Congress demanded all of the internal emails Lerner’s office staff sent between 2009 and 2011, the IRS dragged its feet for three years, then admitted the hard drives had crashed and been destroyed in June 2011 and that, oopsie, their internal backup tapes are toast also, because those get recycled every six months.
  5. According to FedSpending.org, the IRS had a contract with Sonasoft, an email backup service vendor, starting back in 2005. Sonasoft’s motto is “email archiving done right,” and the company lists the IRS as a customer.
  6. The current IRS Commissioner — John Koskinen — told Congress he does not owe the public an apology over the targeting of Conservative groups or the agency’s failure to provide internal emails. He confidently stated that he is “willing to stand on [the agency’s] record.” Before moving to the IRS in 2011, Koskinen was a chairman at Freddie Mac.

Why the IRS scandal won’t die

Friday, June 20, 2014: IRS Commissioner John Koskinen appeared before Congress again today to answer questions about how his agency somehow or other “lost” all two years of emails of all the key figures in the scandal. They’d like us to believe it was just an unfortunate accident and that the emails are unrecoverable. Yeah, right.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), angrily told Koskinen. “I don’t believe you. … Nobody believes you.” As Ryan points out, taxpayers are required to keep ALL accounting records for SEVEN YEARS after filing a return, just in case the IRS decides it wants to audit you. But the IRS? Oopsie. We lost 2 years of emails and how dare you suggest we did it on purpose! Please.

I know from personal experience that, by the federal government’s own standards, “The dog ate my homework”, is PROOF POSITIVE that you’re a lying scumbag! When I was fighting to get on disability (which used to be hard), one set of important medical records was unavailable. The doctor had died and his elderly widow couldn’t find my file. The Social Security judge sneered at my excuse and said I was obviously lying.

Another time, we were talking to a guy I went to high school with. He’d become a tax specialist and had interesting stories about tax court. He said he had a client whose records had legitimately been destroyed in a fire. The IRS audited him for back years and determined that minus this evidence that he had had any right to his claimed deductions, he would have to pay the taxes in full, plus fines, interest, and penalties for having “falsely” claimed he had said deductions.

When did this all start?

  • March 31, 2010: At 12:30 pm, National Treasury Employees Union President Colleen Kelly logged into the White House for a personal appointment with President Obama. The NTEU is the 150,000 union that Obama gave enormous discretion over the activities of the IRS, right down to deciding who is allowed a Blackberry. The union’s PAC endorsed President Obama in both 2008 and 2012, and gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles to anti-Tea Party candidates.
  • April 1, 2010: EOT manager, Steve Grodnitzky, initiated Sensitive Case Reports (SCR) for Tea Party cases. The EOT manager answered directly to the EO division’s director … Lois Lerner.

Who is Lois Lerner?

  • Described as “apolitical” in mainstream press coverage of the IRS scandal, Lois’ husband’s law firm hosted a voter registration organizing event for the Obama presidential campaign, praised President Obama’s policy work, and had one of its partners appointed by Obama to a key ambassadorship.
  • Last month, Judicial Watch obtained documents that proved Lerner and officials at DOJ had discussed how they could arrange to have conservative political activists thrown in jail.
  • On June 26, 2011, Lerner personally approved Malik Obama’s tax-exempt request, just one month after he applied on behalf of his shady charity. Lerner simultaneously approved Obama’s half-brother for retroactive tax exempt status to cover the 27 months prior during which he had been soliciting donations illegally.

More Democrat Corruption

And we’re not talking about pea-shooters here. The charges are for conspiring with a known Chinese organized crime lord to illegally import millions of dollars worth of serious firepower, including rocket launchers and machine guns!

In 1992, Yee was arrested for the alleged shoplifting of a bottle of tanning oil from the KTA Superstore in Kona’s Keauhou Shopping Village. The case was not prosecuted, as Yee disappeared before he could be prosecuted.

We should totes trust these people, rather than GREEDY HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES, cuz like they’re Democrats and we all know that Democrats are the SMART people, the GOOD people, the CARING people … except they’re not. I’ll take a greedy health insurance company over government any day. If they break the law, I can report them or sue them or take my business elsewhere. With the government … not so much. I won a settlement against Social Security for improperly shorting my disability payments by $4,000. That was 12 years ago. I’m still waiting for them to reimburse me. The lawyer just shrugs and says, “They’re slow. It’s in the system, so there’s nothing to do but wait.”

Rising to the level of a dictatorship

You need to listen to this.

How far will his lawlessness go? Obama closed the White House to anyone but his own visitors a long time ago and he seems to be made of Teflon whenever it comes to any of dozens, yes, DOZENS, of scandals that make Nixon look like a Boy Scout.

Harry Reid totally ignores any bill the House passed that Obama doesn’t want to come to a vote. Moderate Republicans keep bending over and doing whatever Obamacrats want while Conservatives and Tea Partiers are blamed unjustly and targeted illegally.

I will be totally unsurprised if the 2016 election is canceled and Obama is declared President for life. It happened in Germany. It happened in Cuba. It happened in Venezuela. Given what we’ve seen happen already, I can’t find any reason to suppose it can’t or won’t happen here.

One correction to Judge Jeanine … Barack Obama is not a lawyer. He went to law school; he USED to be a lawyer. But he is not licensed to practice anywhere NOW. Ergo, he is not a lawyer.

And while he claims to have been a “constitutional law professor”, he doesn’t appear to have ever taught actual Constitutional Law. What he did teach (and this is according to a friendly article in the New York Times) were three courses about race, racism and … oh right … more racism.

Project Veritas does it again!

The guy heading up a group being paid to enroll people in ObamaCare is caught on film conspiring to get private data from enrollees to give to an Obama PAC for use in campaigning for Democrats. He also admits this type of thing has happened in the past. The meat of the exposé is on the first 15 minutes. The rest is the full, raw video from which the exposé footage was taken.
